3. I'm Especially Excited about this Full Moon

However, I have a forecast of rain for that day. I was hoping I'd get to snap a pic of the Full Moon rising. Maybe I'll get lucky since there is only a 50% chance of Thunderstorms. I guess I'll have to have a wait and see approach to this Friday!

I just LOST IT on GD!! I'm sooooooooooo sick of all the bullshit that's being flung at Sen. Kerry, just because he said he was ready to take up the work of healthcare for Teddy! I lost it...completely lost it! I'm not going back there for a very long time. I don't know if it's the full moon, or finding out about my granddaughter's going to Afghanistan, but damn it, I just can't take much more of DU. Thank God and Goddess and the Universe for ASAH !!

I've been on DU for years and it always morphs into another, and another, and another vibe over time.

Perhaps you can be mindful of the fact that it's just a silly message board.

Though I don't participate much anymore, I've had some really fun times here over the years. I met my current lover here through a meet-up in the Boston area through this site though he no longer posts here, 'cause he too got fed up.

I've seen a lot of wonderful people come and go.

People just do what they have to do.

I will pray intensely for your granddaughter's protection though.

You can't buy into the political claptrap oftentimes because that's all it is.

The truth will come out in the end.

the Saturn/Uranus opposition has only occurred once (earlier this year) prior to '67 so it's rather a huge deal.

the 'dark side' has such control over events that we'll never have our democracy again. Nothing 'humorous' about that. Glad that daughter WON'T be driving, as planned.

11. I know that feeling

sometimes I feel that the light side will just get sucked through a black hole into another dimension, leaving the dark side to their...well...darkness. Because the divide just keeps getting bigger.

Other times I think the dark side is losing their grip. The msm is increasingly frantic. I was buying into the freakout over people keeping their kids home from school. And then realized that 1. I turned the tv off every time * was on and may well have kept young children home to protect them from exposure to his evil. and 2. probably many other people did the same, just without screaming about it or getting any media attention and 3. there is a tendency to rehash stuff and keep it alive on GD, whereas some of it hits the online msm for an hour, doesn't really gain any traction and then falls by the wayside.

12. So the school thing is all over the country?

Not just here in Ky? You see how I have avoided this stuff! Doesn't the media point out that all the aluminum foil will soon be used up by people creating tin-foil hats to ward of the President? This stuff is INSANE, surely the media points that out. And turning off the tv and calling the schools all wound up like you need emergency psychiatric care are two different things btw.

The radio talkers must have orchestrated this, these people don't think on their own, which could be their downfall in the end. Like Dalicks on Dr. Who they need their commands from the supreme leader or they can't function. The Dr can think, so no matter what, he wins.

I wish the dark would just finish making fools of themselves already. They act more comical every day. The darkness is very thick right now where I am, but making fools enough of themselves to bring the light out little by little by their own ignorance. I must have hope, without that there is nothing and everything we have struggled against and for is lost. I don't know if I can stand to be in that place. I sometimes wonder if the darkness does finally win if I will be forced to leave my home, job and family and move north looking for fellow liberals in order to stay mentally intact, God I don't need those thoughts, too awful. I must have hope.

My Dad and I had a long email conversation today about it, he thinks the President will get health care passed but that these insane people will start committing violence in retaliation. It may well be a long haul dealing with people that have been driven utterly insane by right-wing news shows and Churches. I don't think they can be reasoned with. It was nothing like this when I was growing up, nothing at all.

I think your dad is right. Baucus is announcing outright that he's pretty much given up on compromise and will go forward with only Snowe's vote.

But they're already giving up too much to Snowe with triggers.

Hopefully that's just to get it out of committee already. They if I understand it correctly, they're free to go to reconciliation, where they can fix it. How they fix it (please do the sane thing and just extend Medicare to all!) will show what's really going on. If they follow suit with the economy -- putting corporate profits and GS ahead of jobs -- it will all have been for nothing.

If they extend medicare, yes the insane rwers will turn violent...for a while. Once older nuts realize they *still* have their piece of the pie, and the rest of the nuts realize they *still* can pay through the nose...or can simply go on Medicare when between jobs or whatever, then things may calm down.
