holy. freakin'. moly.
Is mercury direct yet? Is the planetary bitchiness over yet? I'm afraid to raise my head up and look. the critters have gone nuts on me.

Thursday am I learned that I didn't fail my hematology exam. I got a B+, so I'm still very much in the game. Came home from school celebrating. To find that Dahli kicked Algiers in the face. The side of his face was a balloon and badly abraded, but he was bright-eyed and eating, so luckily nothing broken.

I headed off to work later that afternoon with my energy still good, knowing he'd be fine with some home care. Came home from work to find that Luna destroyed my 2 year old berber carpeting. Dug a hole right through to the old linoleum underneath.   Didn't sleep much that night. Next day he enlarged the hole while I dared to shower. From now on he has to be crated when I'm not around to monitor him :(

Next day I was at the post office where I was surprised by the arrival of my salvia divinorum plants. It's darn lucky I got to the post office when I did, because I'd accidentally given the co. my physical address instead of P.O. box (didn't know they were shipping via mail) so the plants almost got returned and I got the evil eye from Lance, but since he pretended I didn't exist when I was working at the sammich factory I don't care.

Brought the new tropical babies home and was looking for a pan to set them in that would fit under the plastic bag I rigged up as a humidity dome. Looked in the broiler section of the oven...and found :puke: the beginnings of a mouse nest and some bird seed. :puke: :puke: :puke:

Bad, bad night at work last night. Don't ask. At least this morning my car got fixed pronto and for $50 less than quoted.

Is it over yet?!? I want to crawl under the blankies and hide for a while. I can't take any more. None. Nada. Nyet.

1. I hope it will be better soon. Sorry about the boo boos and carpet
On Wednesday afternoon, our wayward boy Huckleberry, must have inhaled 4 -5 cups of black oil sunflower seeds. He was fast because I had taken a 50 lb sack of millet seed into the house and not shut the car trunk. Before I got back he had torn open the sack and helped himself. It didn't look like our doggie do had eaten much, so I huffed and puffed about the sack being broken and now I couldn't carry it in without emptying it into another container.

I really didn't think much at all about the incident until he started vomiting sunflower seeds about 5 hours later. About 3-4 cups worth.

Hooo boy, he was one sick puppy. Had him to the vet the next morning and they gave him sub-cutaneous fluid. Good they did that cause he couldn't keep anything down for almost two days. He's MUCH better today.

3. Tell me about it
My little Sophia kitty has been hiding under the bed ever since Merc went retro (she's a gemini). I think she has the right idea.

My brother took very ill last week -- been in intensive care since Tuesday and has had 3 surgeries. There was talk of a fourth, but they're not making that noise anymore (thank goddess for that). He's still in critical condition, but seems to have stabilized.

I took my mom (the alzheimers patient) up to see him this afternoon, and when I brought her home, my other brother who lives with her showed me his foot that was swolen up 2 x it's normal size and bleeding between the toes. He said he thought he needed to go to the emergency room.

And guess who has to take care of the three of them? That's right. Yours truly.

I feel as if I've stepped into a parallel universe.
