December 2009 Prayer, Light and Healing Requests

               To Believe

         To believe is to know that every day
         is a new beginning.
         It is to trust that miracles happen,
         and dreams really do come true.

         To believe is to see
         angels dancing among the clouds,
         To know the wonder of a stardust sky
         and the wisdom of the man in the moon.

         To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,
         The innocence of a child's eyes
         and the beauty of an aging hand,
         for it is through their teachings we learn to love.

         To believe is to find the strength
         and courage that lies within us.
         When it is time to pick up the pieces
         and begin again.

         To believe is to know
         we are not alone,
         That life is a gift and
         this is our time to cherish it.

         To believe is to know that wonderful surprises
         are just waiting to happen,
         And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
         If only we believe.

75. I have good news.
Edited on Thu Dec-17-09 11:30 PM by Quantess
The local University Hospital's Orthopedic dept. has admitted me as a patient, with an appointment coming up next month. A month ago, they denied me services because they were "at capacity".

I was hoping to be seen at all, at any orthopedist I could afford, because I have no insurance and I haven't worked for a couple of months. But, at this hospital I qualify for their charity program.

I may need surgery to walk again, who knows, but now at least I will have the option. :D

78. Yes, Thank you, Universe! I am so relieved to get the medical care I need.
Plus, I hear it's a state-of-the-art orthopedics department, so I don't have to worry about the quality of care. I really feel lucky. It will be a long wait with leg propped up on the couch, but, December is a good month for that.

7. What a seasonally appropriate shot !!!
And so-o-o much truly does hinge on belief for sure for sure.

I often call friends and clients on "self defeating prophesies" and have certainly been guilty of such self sabotage at many times.

Wishing all who post on this thread their heart's desires be fulfilled over time and all have an especially uplifting holiday season.

Also humbly ask that my client base expand and that those I can inspire be drawn into my sphere.

Brightest Blessings to you all.

17. thanks Dream
but you know me. I'll forever give freebies and forever scale my rates. Lately when people ask me what they owe me I just say, "intuit it." It just feels right since so many are of vastly different means.

Last year I tried to raise my rates for the first time in 20 years & couldn't pull it off. The "intuit it" line feels much better to this old Lemeurian. LOL

8. Lovely, Dream
Your opening reminds me of one of my favorite songs. So--here's an additional prayer for everyone.

"If You Believe"
Kenny Loggins
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjPxSCtHNhA

Dove, rise and fly over me to the sea
Love hears her cry
Wait for me, wait for me

If you believe in me
I will believe in what will be
We want the world you've only dreamed of
The promise of our seasons
Give us the future, please
That's all we need of you

Running in circles
Desperate we hold to "yours" and "mine"
Using our bodies
Closing our hearts and eyes
Then oh, open the door and let the wind blow
Take my hand
Together we stand in the eye of the hurricane

If you believe in me
I will believe in what will be
We want the world you've only dreamed of
The promise of our seasons
Give us the future, please
That's all we need of you

Every nation, every woman, child, and man
Comes on a moment where they must take a stand
Then oh, forget what you know
Just let the wind blow
Blown apart, you open your heart
And that's when anything can be

If you believe in me
I will believe in what will be
We want the world you've only dreamed of
The promise of our seasons
Give us the future, please
That's all we need of you

Out of control, out of my mind at last
Into my dreams we sail away

If you believe in me, I will believe

9. My husband and I request a bit of help..
He's working so hard and he's very frustrated..and it's showing. Sure, he gets to work at what he loves and does well,but he does not feel he's being paid well and that he was promised differently when he was hired. He's frustrated by the fact that he and the other people on staff can't get anywhere because of the owner having some ideas that clearly are not working..but he stubbornly refuses to take any input. He's auditioned at least 10 djs to help out and not one of them can do the job even halfway adequately. Also, another dj that was working with him and quit (and that he's helped out on and off for over 4 years now) started really attacking him by phone and message last week, to the point husband was crying in anger. Yes, I told him not to give it any energy and not to respond, but he's an Aries, lol.

He was so tired the night before Thanksgiving and that night that he could barely TALK, let alone work; but he did anyway.

Please, lots of supportive light for us/him (yes, I have asked him if it's ok) if you can or feel so inclined. I worry so..:)

Thank you.

19. Request for clarity for husband
Mr. MG was just offered a new job, and he's totally on the fence about whether to take it or not. He's unhappy where he is, but he's not sure this new job is "the answer" either. He's going to call the recruiter back this afternoon and ask more questions in the hopes that more information will help. But I strongly suspect that he's hampered in his decision making due to fear--fear of leaving, fear of a new job that might be a disappointment, even fear of rejecting a job that he's not completely enamored of in case he can't find any others. You know.

Anyway, can we blow away the fog surrounding this situation for him? (And if anybody gets any "hits" about it, please let me know. He acts like a skeptic, but whenever he gets some "inside information" from the Great Beyond, he does pay attention.)

Thanks, friends! :hi:

So that he can make the appropriate decision. No hits on the new job but at least I am not getting a toxic feeling or anything like that.

You might try doing some reiki on him, too. Job decisions like this are stressful.

30. Thank you, C
Mr. MG took the job, but he's not overjoyed about it. He's a crusader, and I think he's disappointed that he couldn't change the system at his old place. He'd rather triumph--he doesn't like walking away.

This situation has given him a three-day headache, so I definitely will do some reiki to get his blood pressure to calm the heck down.

50. I am asking for right livelihood.
I can do art and music, but I need paying customers. I have gone to several boutiques in the past and they already had too much stuff they could not sell.

I also suspect that my prices are too high for this depressed rural area I live in, but I do make quality stuff (both esthetically and in materials).

58. I think I screwed up.
Everything was going great with me and the Scorpio until he cancelled a date with me yesterday. Unfortunately, I misunderstood his reason and shot off a short but angry e-mail, which is completely out of character for me. We talked afterwards and I realized my mistake and apologized, but he hasn't spoken to me since. (And I did have one valid reason to be angry, which he apologized to me for.)

What do I wish for? I know I can't wish to change how he feels. I don't want one misunderstanding to ruin everything. We were getting so close -- we had the most wonderful date this past Thursday. I just wish he would contact me so we could talk.

61. It's possible that he's not even upset at this point, Sweet Freedom.
Since you just spoke with him yesterday, maybe he just hasn't gotten around to calling yet today. Let's hope that's the case. I will ask his guides to make him aware that you understand your mistake and deserve compassion in reference to this situation since you obviously realize that your response was not appropriate for the situation.

Of course, we all make mistakes. Next time it might be him. If he shows you compassion here, maybe it will help you to return it the next time he screws up. :hug:

68. try clearing your third chakra
It's over your navel, approximately. With your hand (palm) above the area, slowly "unscrew" (that is the motion) and remove all negative entities, blockages, hexes and any type of negative emotion. Do that for about one minute (using your intention). Then, for two minutes, "screw" in positive energy, self esteem, and the color yellow.

You also might want to go somewhat lighter on salt. Also, you can try clearing salt. Hold some in your hand, on your third chakra. With your other hand, make the hand symbol for love and gratitude. It's sign language. You can find a picture of it through Google. Basically it is like U of Texas Hook'em Horns but with the thumb stuck out to the side.

Then say, "Even though I may have had trouble processing salt, I now accept the energy of salt, with love and gratitude." Put the hand with the symbol on your third chakra over the hand with the salt in it.

Repeat every three hours while you are awake during the day.

This actually *could* work, and it doesn't cost a thing to try.

Obviously this does not take the place of medical intervention.

71. A general request for us all to embody and radiate....

qualities we want to see reflected in this world, as much as is humanly possible for the moment. ;)

It's a new moon, and everything feels very chaotic and unsettled...a bit of a tipping point perhaps?

Even if it's not a tipping point, it feels that it certainly can't hurt to send blessings out to the world, especially to the people of the United States and Washington DC right now since we are (so it feels?) at a crisis point once again.

I pray that we move forward, as individual souls and as a citizenry, towards our Highest Good, and radiate that throughout the cosmos.

One People, One Planet...
through the heavens we turn..
One Planet, One People,
Oh when will we learn?

We're like the leaves on the trees
we connect with one another.
Like the Sun and the moon..
we each have our light.
Like the birds and the bees..
we were meant to be as lovers..
sure as day follows night
things could turnout all right..

One People, One Planet...
through the heavens we turn..
One Planet, One People,
Oh when will we learn?

We're like the flowers in the field
we come in different colors..
Like the stars in the heaven..
we each have our light.
Like the sun and the moon
we were meant to be as lovers..
and when we shine our light
things will turn out all right.

I guess it is the time of year but it really hit me hard today. I went to the kids christmas show at school and it is just so freaking hard to deal with. I hate being alone, no husband or anyone special there to share it with, the kids are so sweet and i am so proud ...
I feel so alone and all the hard work i do and the decorating and the presents and everything is just a show for the kids...meanwhile my heart feels hollow and i wish someone would do something for ME because they love me. and not just the cool stuff the kids make for me that is so sweet...but someone who knows and cares for ME and hold MY hand and such...
(my bday is Jan 1st and i just wanna hide till JUNE...)
I hate feeling so lonely when i have so much to be thankful for. but this is a family time and i feel like a piece is missing sometimes...

I'm so sorry your heart is hurting, FirstLight. All we can do is hold your hand and send our love.

:grouphug:

I wish we could switch places in a way, as far as how we feel. I had a trauma occur, actually 18 years ago tomorrow, which started off with me really dreading this time of year, not wanting to fake it as you say you have to do for the kids.

I gradually developed my own ritual as others' schedules changed, and for the last probably 10 years, I find myself completely alone for the holidays and I LOVE IT! Love it, love it, love it! :)

It's "me" time. So I once again look forward to this time of year, once my "alone" part comes. ;)

Maybe something will shift for you as well, so that regardless of what's happening externally as far as relationships are concerned, you can find your "me" space and celebrate you during your most special time. It's hard though, I grant you that, especially with such a powerful birthday in the mix.

80. I've come down with pnuemonia
and am hoping this isn't too taxing on my body. I've got a chronic illness that has left me very sick and disabled before, and my health this year has not been that great - got rear-ended at the beginning of summer, a bad sinus infection in the fall and now this.

I am thinking of you all who don't have health care...I am very lucky to have universal coverage, and feel grateful that there are no hassles when I need care. I can't imagine what it's like to worry about costs, or being denied. It upsets me greatly to know that some (on the 'dark' side ;-) )don't think health care is a human right.

The above is beautiful, Dream. Thank you for sharing it. :loveya:

92. Since I don't know what else to do
I'd like to ask for some light for my Scorpio friend. I still don't know what is going on (see upthread). All I know is he has told me via e-mail that his life is hell right now, that he's been up into the early morning every night and soon he will explain everything (yeah, because we Cappys just love not knowing what's going on and having no control of a situation). He even canceled on me for Christmas because he thinks he has to go out of town (his mom lives where he's going...maybe something has happened with her).

So the hamster in my brain wheel has been spinning like mad trying to figure out what could possibly have happened to cause him to completely shut down and not even talk to me beyond a cryptic e-mail (he doesn't seem mad at me, adding more to the confusion).

So light and love to you my friend, so that your situation will be resolved and that you find happiness again (even if that means I'm not a part of it).

94. as a scorpio all I can say is
we've had a very rough go of it for some time now. I know financially I've been pushed to the wall repeatedly. Every time I think I'm above water, the sands shift underneath and under I go again. This past summer I walked from store to store in the nearby town until I could sell the only 2 gifts of any value and without strings that my father ever gave me, in order to feed the animals.

And 3+ months of 18 hour days had me crawling to my finish line last night.

Hopefully your scorpio friend will catch a breather soon too.

96. Thank you, yes, I do know he's had a very hard time
personally and he's been overworked professionally. I also find that he seems to shut down completely when things go bad, which I wish he wouldn't do because I seem to be able to cheer him up when he lets me know what's going on. (And then me, being a total worry-wart, starts to assume the worst when he disappears.)

I just hope he's okay. He's been through a lot and I like him so much it breaks my heart when he isn't happy. :(

117. I guess I should add
(since it's a safe haven) that I was told by two different tarot readers that Scorpio man has carried a torch for me for years and that we are twin flames meant to be together because we (including our children) have been a family before. :(

The first reading was almost a year ago and I blew it off thinking she was off her rocker (I was still going through my divorce). It wasn't until about a month after the Scorpio asked me out that I recalled that reading and realized she was talking about him. Every single thing she said fit.

I had a reading with someone else two weeks ago. Same outcome. :shrug:

118. I hope that this fact at least gives you comfort and helps you...
to be a little more patient. (Believe me, I completely understand your feelings of bewilderment at being kept out of his life at this point after having such a wonderful beginning.) I seem to recall that you said that he has either just very recently divorced or is in the process of getting a divorce. Is that correct? If so, maybe he just needs to be given the space to process it as he needs to process it. The readings seem to indicate that it's very likely that, in the end, the two of you will end up together. Given that, do what you have to do to give this relationship a healthy start, which may require that you just be in the background for a while -- letting him know that you are there for him if he needs you but not forcing yourself on him. (Sounds like what you're doing.)

The real issue in my opinion is how you also take care of yourself. How do you not feel as though you're not valued? How do you live with the uncertainty? These are not easy things for a Capricorn.

I am continuing to send you love and light, Sweet Freedom. I'm also asking for the Universe to help your friend to realize that staying connected with you will help him to heal.

119. Yes
he did just get divorced (it was final 12/1). We tried dating right before he filed (months after they split up), but he was worried that she would interfere if she found out (and that she would contest it). As soon as the contested deadline passed, we started dating again.

I am trying to give him space. I've sent him a couple messages of support to let him know I'm available and that I wish him the best, but I'm not calling or anything. Which is out of character for me to be so restrained. :)

As far as taking care of myself...I have been seeing a therapist for a couple months trying to learn how to relinquish control and how not to worry unecessarily. (Interestingly, ricochetastroman said in a previous thread--Your chart is MAJOR LUNAR - MOON. He --the Scorpio-- has come to teach you about passionate, intense, relationship, loving. Not the kind that is clingy or codependent. That is why he is here.)

So, I'm trying to learn to not be clingy or codependent. For some reason I thought that would be great. I didn't expect it to be difficult (why I thought that, I don't know. Duh.) :hi:

Thank you for all your support IHAD. You always know the right thing to say. :hug:

120. Trying to LEARN to not be clingy and codependent isn't great, but...
actually achieving it will be, and you will. Yes, I agree that he is probably a teacher of sorts for you. Once you learn this, you'll be a much stronger person who will be able to hold her own regardless of the way the tides are going. (Note the lunar reference... ;))

Maybe this is one of your important life lessons. Maybe thinking of it that way will help you to realize that it's OK that it's not easy. That it doesn't mean that you're weak because you ache for contact. It seems as though you are to learn that you can do it regardless of the ache. You're a Capricorn, so you have the strength to do this, my friend.

In the end, you'll still have the wonderful tenderness that all of the lunar energy gives you, but you'll be in control of it rather than it controlling you. Yes, that sounds like a very major life lesson. I have confidence that you'll get through this and come out on the other side much stronger. Just take everything one step at a time and be gentle with yourself.

131. I know what you mean
having had someone shut me out recently, too. Some people may just feel everything too overwhelming and shut everything - and everybody - out. Many don't know how to express their feelings, or ask for help. He may be feeling a lot if he just got divorced - even if they had been separated for a long time, or had no feelings left for the other. It is a monumental event for some, and closure often needs a bit of time.

Obviously I don't know him, so I have no idea if any of the above applies.

I wish you strength in dealing with this. :hug:

peace and prosperity, in some form.

It could start with nothing else breaking or getting injured or sick. In the last year, I have had 6 major issues with plumbing, heating, and electrical work at my house, plus 2 different horses with large vet bills for major injury and illness.

All during the year I took 2 pay cuts. There will probably be another pay cut in '10, and an increased possiblity of layoffs.

97. In a couple of days, the anniversary of the saddest time of my life is
coming up. Five years ago on December 22nd, my husband died in front of me unexpectedly. He had a massive heart attack and no one was able to revive him. It happened so suddenly. I know intellectually that he would have suffered more had he not been taken so suddenly so I console myself with that thought. However I miss him very much and it is a very sad time of my life for me. I would appreciate any prayers you can send my way to get me through this tough period. Having to shop and prepare for the holidays is really hard when I'm feeling so blue.

99. I'm so sorry, Cleita. Having to experience this every year...
right around the holidays when everyone else is happy has to be so extremely difficult. I wish that I could make the pain go away.

I am praying and will continue to pray that you be surrounded by love and supportive light to help you to get through this time. :(

134. About diving into grief and darkness...
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 06:56 PM by OneGrassRoot
I wanted to share something that may or may not be helpful for someone reading here. And I share this not for anyone to feel sorry about my experience. On the contrary...I share it with the hope that it may help someone at least start to see light at the other end of the tunnel.

This undoubtedly won't be the first you've read/heard this message, but it bears repeating periodically. I know that I can hear something over and over and, for whatever reason, one day the light bulb finally comes on. I have to be at the right mental/heart space to absorb it. Divine Time.

:)

I have learned to never qualify one's grief. The pain is absolutely brutal when grief is involved, regardless of for whom or for what we grieve.

For those who've read Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now," he talks about the pain body.

I personally have experienced this; I think most of us have to one degree or another.

When I lost my son, which I mention below (today is Joshua's birthday, he was born 18 years ago today), the pain was absolutely unbearable for YEARS.

After a while, I came to identify with that pain. I WAS THE PAIN. I came to identify the pain as my last connection to Joshua. In my tortured way of thinking, I thought that if I let go of the pain, it meant that I let go of Joshua. And that would be a betrayal...I would be betraying my son by letting go of him...by letting go of the pain.

Others hold on to pain for many individual reasons, but the point is that the pain becomes a part of us and we can't imagine no longer being that person who is IN PAIN. WE ARE THE PAIN.

I was blessed in that I had to move out of that space because I had another child to care for. I couldn't do that to her.

Of course, as I gradually released the extreme suffering...as I gradually let go of the extreme pain...I realized that my connection to Joshua was stronger than ever.

That Pain Body is palpable...it truly has a life of its own. That Pain Body prevented me from embracing all the love involved with Joshua.

Yet that Pain Body is such a blessing. I have a feeling this is what FirstLight is going to write about. :) Experiencing that Pain Body -- the darkest night of the soul -- is what enables us to get to the other side and TRULY appreciate the other side.

I'm having this conversation now with my mother. It will be three years in March when we suddenly lost my dad to sudden cardiac arrest (bless you, Cleita).

My mom has been actively suicidal since then. She has recently talked about how she doesn't want to get better. It's not a matter of her not wanting to move on or enjoy any aspect of life, however small the joy may be, out of a sense of guilt or anything pertaining to my dad. No, she has become the Pain Body.

I finally realized that's what is going on...she has become the Pain Body and feels it's her only connection left to my father. I understand that. No one else in our family understands that, but I do, so I am hoping to help her choose to release this torture of the soul. I don't know that I can; it's up to her. But I'm glad to have a glimpse -- a mere glimpse -- into the torture she is feeling with this Pain Body.

Experiencing the Pain Body expanded my empathetic awareness tremendously, which is a blessing and a curse. ;)

Once again, many blessings and heartfelt hugs to those who grieve.

I will always, always be sending hugs of comfort your way....

130. Many Unitarian congregations have a "Blue Christmas" service
I've been to one, and found it incredibly powerful and healing (not instantaneous, but again to know people care).

The one I was at, the minister spoke briefly and the rest of the service people went up, lit candles and shared their stories. Many had lost loved ones near the Christmas holiday. Some spoke for a while, some briefly, others chose to light candles in silence.

There were Unitarian chaplains around, offering whatever comfort to those who needed it. One just hugged me for about 10 minutes as I couldn't stop crying. There was a small meal served afterwards of soup, bread and dessert, if you wanted to stay. For many, that was the only time they got together and ate with anyone on the holidays.

I don't know if you have one in your area, or even if you are interested, but I thought I'd mention it. :hug:

132. Blessings to Joshua, and to those who are grieving....

My son, Joshua, was stillborn 18 years ago today. I certainly went through the darkest nights of my soul for years and years after his birth. I am fine now. It's far enough out that the tortuous pain has diminished. What remains is love.

Thank you, Joshua. O8)

But my heart breaks for others who are mourning the loss of their loved ones. It's a brutal emotion, especially this time of year.

I send infinite hugs and wishes of peace and divine blessings to those who grieve.

135. To add to the mix
I just got an eviction notice.

It's in three months time, developers want to tear down the apartment and build condos.

I had a very tough time finding this place - there are very few rentals in my price range. The ones that are would be in dangerous neighbourhoods (other than this one, which is in a great neighbourhood).

It's also hard being on a deadline, as I have no idea if and when my illness flares up. Sometimes I'm unable to function for a week or two.

I would appreciate any light to help me find something that that works for me, in all respects, and to keep me healthy.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the warm welcome back.

I also had difficulty last time around because of prejudice surrounding people receiving disability benefits. I had more than one landlord ask me 'how I can get them, I don't feel like working either'. :eyes:

I found this place through a friend and even though it's too small, everyone knows everyone else in the building, we hang out together, we're respectful and quiet and look out for each other...a real community. Someone had told me we're on an energy line, and I can feel it. The whole neighbourhood is; a little cove that's very different from what's surrounding it.

I really appreciate your good wishes and vibes, Sweet Freedom. :hug:

148. Funny thing about that user ID. My initials are "jap" and I've
always had a lot of friends who call me "jap". When I first came to DU, I had jap as my user ID. One time when I posted something in GD, there was a flamewar about my offensive/racist user ID. I didn't even know this was going on until the mods contacted me asking me to change it. I chose japple because it sounded kind of cheerful.

I am also an appleaholic, and my favorite is a local variety callled Gold Rush, which is the latest apple produced in my area. I bought 1/2 bushel in mid-November and now have only about 5 left, snif, snif. Guess I'll have to be content with store bought Pink Lady or Honeycrisps until next apple season. I've never heard of Orins. What are they like?

150. Yes, japple is fun and peppy
I've never heard of Gold Rush, but I like the name. :)

Orins are sweet apples - I find them a cross between an apple with a bit of pear and pineapple. I read somewhere that it was like biting into Juicy Fruit gum. lol Quite a unique taste. They're crisp, but not tart.

The Orins I first tried were shipped from Japan. When I opened the bag, their fragrance filled the whole room. The taste was exquisite. I haven't seen Japanese ones for about 5-6 years, and now they come from British Columbia. Not quite as good, but still my favourite.

The apples I like tend to be sweeter - Orins, Pinata, Ambrosia, Pacific Rose...absolutely love those.

The one thing I noticed when I was in the US, was that the apples tended to be a quite underripe (for crispness? do Americans tend to like very crisp apples? or they're just picked very early? It was limited to only a few cities, but from many stores and a few varieties). I saw Pinatas once and almost jumped, I don't see them very often and was so happy to find them (Orins are still rarer). But they were so underripe they had very little flavour. And when I found Ambrosias, they tasted nothing like the ones I've come to like. :shrug:

153. More on apples: I've never heard of Pinata and Orin varieties,
I remember when Fujis and Braeburns first entered the American market from Australia, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Now, they're being grown in Washington and taste like cardboard. The best tasting ones, IMHO, are those that are grown locally. Occasionally, I'll find Honeycrisp, Ambrosia, and a few other varities that haven't been ruined by mass production. Guess I'll just have to be content with Pink Ladies, which are long-lasting and still seem to have their sweet-tartness and lovely crunch.

Enjoyed our off-topic apple discussion!

164. My mother fell and hurt her tailbone. Yes she has seen
a dr., who does not think it's fractured. But she is in a lot of pain and having mobility issues, even with pain meds. Reiki, healing vibes, and other stuff would be appreciated. Lynn R., in Western OR. Thanks in advance.

165. Reiki on the way - did the x-ray show if it is bent?
when I was young I fell one too many times rollerskating and bent but did not break mine. oy. It had to be straightened and I really wish the doc had offered pain meds before hand. double oy. It fixed the pain so it was worth it in the end.

I hope your Mother is fully healed soon!

166. No x-rays, yet,
I have no idea what the dx criteria for "not broken," were (not a medical-advice based thread, remember?) I presume if the pain is not improved soon, they may re-check it, I don't know.

We both are using olive leaf extract & vitamin c so after the initial burst the coughing stopped but we would greatly appreciate any good vibes to ensure those blessed germs can't take hold.

170. Light and love to my brother and my dad
that they can see the truth before they do any more damage.

Found out on Christmas that...

my youngest brother "the golden one" has totally destroyed his life because of drugs. He's headed down the path to jail or death and only he can save himself. (Previously, he had been headed to full football scholarship to college.)

my father, who lives with the golden one, is dying. Blind, can't walk, gangrene, aneurysm, kidney failure...I'm sure all related to his drinking, a problem he refuses to acknowledge. He too, can only save himself.

:(

Love and light to both of them. May they both realize what they are doing so that they can make the required changes to be free of these situations or, at the very least, to stop the continuing downward spiral. If they desire change, I ask that the Universe give them the assistance that they'll need to make these changes. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

I've been there also, Sweet Freedom, so I suspect that I know what you're going through. :hug:

174. Okay, I'm back.
We entered into President Obama's Making Home Affordable program in August. We fulfilled the three-month trial period in November. Our final paperwork has not arrived. We were told this morning by the lender (who asks for duplicate paperwork, etcetera, every time we call,) that we're now supposedly required to fulfill an additional three-month trial period because they "don't have the personnel to execute the final paperwork at this time". We've made our payments. We're current.

I called the "emergency" number this morning at the Making Home Affordable website. We are now going through the "conversion team" from the Treasury placed at our lender's to get some of these contracts executed. Supposedly, we're going to hear from a member of this group in 48 hours.

I am so frustrated I could scream. Even more fun -- lenders are selling houses out from under those in this program because of one line in the documents that allows them to do so, without notifying the mortgage holder.

If you could think of us, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
MV/Julie

Just read your post way above and it hit home with me. Having gone through a divorce and dating soon after, I can share that for me it was a difficult time. I needed desperately to heal and I wasn't in a good place for a relationship. If I may offer my opinion, I would offer support for your friend - be there when he needs to talk. He will need time and space. He will know when it is right for him to move forward. I sense you mean a lot to him, but allow him the space he needs. When the time is right for both of you, this relationship can grow and strengthen.

Senator Murray's chief of staff called me. I left a message on their voice mail; I didn't think I'd hear from them. We chatted for awhile. One of her other aides is working with people in the MHA program who still haven't received their final paperwork. They'll be contacting our lender next week.

I am crossing my fingers.

Thank you so much for your prayers and your good thoughts.

185. Request for healing energies: for my friend Bea, who is receiving
chemo for cancer that has metastisized to her liver. She had a double mastectomy years ago and has been clear for 7 years, now this. She is a dear, sweet, caring person and is being so brave during her treatments, hasn't missed a day of work.

Also, a request for me for a little twinge on the left side of my spine, midway down my back, which is probably from poor posture while sitting at my computer.

Blessings and peace to all ASAH DUers and may 2010 be the best year for all of us.

This was very interesting...he Heart chakra is clogging up i think. She has had this inflammation in her hands and eyes for 2 onths...seen 3 specialists and they finally ended up giving her prednisone...

3 days after starting it she gets chest pains and has what looks like a Heart Attack, pain and right arm paralyzation etc...
no heart attack enzymes in her blood, and nothing conclusive on the stress test, so they sent her home this evening...

I pray that she will be able to find the answers for the initial symptoms, and that she will get back in touch with the holistic acupuncturist who KNOWS how to treat the WHOLE body - not just the pieces.
~~~~
Interesting aside: My sister did not call me until 9:30 am, and she was called by my dad at 7am...NOBODY called me! I woke up at 4am and couldn;t sleep, my mom was admitted to the room at 4am... I decided to follow my gut and go to her and hold space and her hand and do energy work on her at the hospital since my sister was not leaving work to check up on things and my dad is pre-dementia and NOT helpful at ALL. He yelled at me on the pohone as I said i was coming over the mountain to help...but I told him that i was not a child, she is my mother and I was GOING to HOLD HER HAND. PERIOD.
So I went and passed the time with her, did energy work on her hands that were swollen and aching, and just held space while they did the stress test. She told me she was glad I followed my heart and came there to BE there for her.
In the end...i felt hat I left there as an ADULT child of my parents, rather than the YOUNGEST CHILD of the family. I held my own power and didn't bring ANY negativity to the day...even when my dad was an ass, i still gave him loving hugs and told him I wasn't trying to upset him, just needed to follow my heart. He said bah humbug, but i stayed in truth..and that helped my mom more than anything! Funny that i am growing up three days before my 40th Bday...better late than never! :rofl:
please continue to send prayers that we can find the real reason behind this inflammation in her body. poor mama! I will be sending her heart chakra golden light and rediance through the night :)
You are always in my thoughts and prayers even when I don't respond.
I know it's been rough for many of us in recent times, and only hope that the new decade will bring noticeable and palpably observable improvements.
A big thanks and shout out to IHAD who's intrepid and loving concerns have lifted us all in an enormous and immeasurable way for so-o-o long.
Pssssttttt. . . her birthday is this month but I'm sworn to never divulge it. I'm devious like that.
As if . . .she won't see this. Ha.
So let's have an all sign party for her and embarrass her through flattery and intense appreciation totally.
Maybe she'll never have to fall in a ravine or work so-o-o hard again.
I pray her life become more effortless. (memo to the csmic parole board- She's completely earned it.) IMHO
Happy Blue Full Moon eclipse tomorrow (@2:13 pm EST.)
May we all find some true resolution to the first decade of the second millennium which has been so-o-o strange. It's all purgative and transitional I figure.
Here is a eclectic year end's message. . . if you possibly have an hour to blow. . .
http://kpfaweb.kpfa.org/archive/id/57227
Here's something that may warm your hearts about life forms on this planet and our ultimate intra dependency.
best to all,
stella
ps Oh my beau has a mere minor problem. He's just got one of those achy breaky flues. It's a minor problem, it's just untimely. I just hope his strengths get restored so we don't have to spend the New Year's apart. The weather conditions are kinda bad. I know it's relatively petty. I just want him to recover quickly because my holidays over 2009 have truly been a bit difficult. Not that I ever have much expectations beyond sinple pleasantries. Oh and then there would be that castle in Leichtentstein, and the all essentail teleportation chamber.
Would just like to start the year on a new page is all.
Hope you all do as well.
