We’re in a several-year rapid-change cycle, and sometimes it can feel like too much too fast. The weekend begins on a heartfelt note, but we may want to retreat from the prickles in our life to nestle into the familiar, whether a familiar way of expressing ourselves, an old mode of thinking, comfort foods or old friends as Venus sextiles traditional Saturn. We need to tap into our deepest roots and protect our most heartfelt traditions but let the rest compost and evolve, because we can’t step backwards. Cutting back on holiday lights will be the least of our concerns.
This week our daily interactions can be light and festive, but underneath a deeper undercurrent intensifies as Mercury approaches a conjunction with Pluto in serious Capricorn and both square Saturn on Monday.
Early next week a confluence of ideas meets reality and can catch us between a rock and a hard place. We have to look at a tough situation squarely in the eye and deal with it in a strategic but straightforward manor and sidestep an ambient attraction to manipulate or control others to get what we want; it’s bad karma, and will tend to backfire. The situation may not be a dire as we think or fear, but this is a wake-up call and we may have to make some tough decisions, let go of an unproductive path and pursue one that whispers of possibility.
The aspects we’re experiencing are a crucible, melting and forging through some tough challenges, a more solid future. But it may be hard to see unless we have a lot of imagination. Check in with older people or those which have had a long illness or depression, as these aspects weigh heavily and some may not be able to see the future coming. Keep karma clean with beloveds, say what needs to be said now; we’re ready for heavy discussion with Mercury in this configuration.
