Anybody see dirty tricks coming in the Hacket/Schmidt Ohio Race?
Edited on Sat Jul-30-05 05:57 PM by oxbow
I just got a premonition that they will try some 11th-hour Rovian tricks in this election. Something along the lines of Rove planting a bug in his own office a few weeks before election day in that Texas race. I'm still not too good with intuition though, so I wanted to see if other people have seen anything coming down the pipeline

It's fairly easy to see Schmidt is a loyal Bushtrooper, one who's election is critical in this conservative region of Ohio

Watch this video to see Schmidt self-destruct on Hardball. It's because of behavior like this that I think Hackett is pulling ahead in the final days, and that we might expect them to try something.

1. hmmm, maybe they'll tie the trouble with Schmidt's campaign manager
to someone in the Hackett campaign? Maybe it's a setup to make it look like someone faked his email address on that s/m board?

2. I really don't know
I'm not close enough I don't think. I have read in another GD thread that some of Schmidts people have been saying to stay home. You can sense they feel threatned by Hackett and that they think they're going to lose. I hope they do.

3. yea Hackett is exactly what the Dem's need
He's called Bush a chickenhawk and a bigger threat than Bin Laden, and people are taking notice! As an Iraq vet, he's been close enough to smell the napalm, too, so he can tell people what's what. He's a straightshooter and no politician. You can tell I'm pretty impressed with the guy! :)

6. You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows
Dirty tricks are Standard Operating Procedure by now for the Republicans. They have lost their integrity, and are lacking in honor. Sad, but true.
