Orb!
Hey! :hi: I know we all have vastly different opinions about orbs in photos, but I just had to post this. Took it last night and I got a giggle at the presence of the orb and especially its location (look up).

2. I thought it was cool too!
I took a bunch of other pictures from the same spot, but it only showed up in this one.

It is a monster of a tree! We go to a cut-your-own place, and all the trees are the same price, no matter the size. So we got a little carried away--I guess that's what happens when you've got 11 ft. ceilings and a kid who reasons that a bigger circumference at the base means only one thing: more room for presents!

5. Now there's an interesting placement!
If that is a dust mite, it certainly has interesting placement as the tree topping "star".

Personally, I don't think it is dust. Just my opinion. I wonder who wanted in on decorating the tree?

8. Isn't it, though?
We do have a ghost--a former housekeeper--but she's been really quiet the past couple of years (once she realized we weren't going to trash the house like the previous tenants). I also find the misty look on the right side of the tree intriguing, but that could just be the wash from the lamp beside it.

19. A pleasant appearance
She may have wanted to make a pleasant appearance since she now knows you are taking care of the house, join in on the celebration. I would imagine she appreciates seeing the holidays celebrated if others have trashed her surroundings.

6. That looks real, not like a speck of dust like some of them do.
You should try pictures every night while you have the tree up to see what you get. :-)

I'll do that, and if another orb shows up, I'll post the photo.

Thanks for sharing - and yes, take a few more to see if more orbs show up and their placement. (I love stuff like this!)

Great tree too!

I think I'll take some more in the next couple of nights, then take some close to the solstice and see what turns up. :D

It looks like it!!

Rumor has it that orbs are attracted to sparkles. ;)

Love your tree. Thanks for sharing.

17. Aw, gorgeous tree! I bet it smells soo good.
:hi: I've been over ruled by my husband and step-daughter - they're only use to fake trees that he took down from the attic today and they're busily fluffing it  Nevertheless, I'm getting a small plant of a Christmas tree of my very own.

I love that orb! I have to share mine because it's the only one I've ever taken. My niece was visiting for a while. One afternoon she took a nap and I was gazing at her beautiful face in peaceful rest. I suddenly got a strong urge to snap some photos - maybe I could use them in a painting or something, I thought. I took a few in quick succession and one of them had an orb floating right above her head!

I like to think that it's part of her spirit or her guardian. I think yours means a wonderful holiday season! Happy Holidays, MorningGlow :)

18. I love orbs!
I wish you could all see the multiple orbs that showed up in my daughters wedding pictures! (my Aidan's Mommy) There was one next to her as she walked down the aisle alone that I believe was her Dad, and two HUGE halo type orbs over the couple as they said their vows on the Altar. Numerous orbs at the reception as they kissed and danced their first dance. I believe many of our recent dear departed love ones were in attendance at this wedding, in spirit! I would post them if I could remember how, but because I still feel under the weather, I don't have the patience now. I was going to ask on Facebook if their was any special connection to the star treetopper? Family heirloom, or sentiment? It could just be the sparkle though. Very intriguing!!

22. Update--took more pics today
No orbs. I think my visitor visited, gave his/her blessing regarding the tree, and is off again. Maybe s/he'll come back if I ask nicely. I'll try again in a bit. :)
