Spirit Media Network

I'm sitting here working and, as usual, have the TV on (muted) in the background. Beautiful, lush scenery being shown on the morning news caught my eye, and I turned to see the logo "Spirit Media" in the bottom left corner. No idea what the segment was about...lol...but I wanted to Google that name.

I don't think I found what pertained to the images being shown on TV just now, but I did "stumble" upon this site. Very interesting intentions here, and I thought some of you would appreciate knowing there are those out there trying to create what we long for here as far as media is concerned. I know there are others, but this has a decidedly different vibe to me from the strictly spiritual sites and the strictly practical "good news" sites. :)

EDIT to request others please post similar sites which fit the description of "new media," in your opinion. This site seems super new, but I like their mission statement. I'm curious what other ventures you've stumbled upon along this same line.

1. Well, good luck to them!

I remember the satellite/cable channel "The Wisdom Channel" and how it met its demise when the founder passed away. It was like he hadn't surrounded himself with people that believed in keeping his vision going as it all crumbled apart when he was gone. I do miss that channel sometimes; they had some great interviews, too :)

I noticed in the comments, however, about being asked to "go to the website and connect with us there" but I've found no link to that website. Is there another site than just the blog page?

I had found their radio site (http://www.iadradio.com) but the link to the Spirit Media Network page didn't take me anywhere but to a blank page. At the same time, though, my connection was doing weird things (like producing blank pages on DU, too.) I'll have to explore this site a little further...

Yeah, Wisdom has been gone a few years now. Lime replaced it for a while, then they dropped their channel, too. Now the only "health and spirit" channel out there is Veria although it appears to be only the health aspect.

I love that site and wish I had hours and hours to explore.
