1. Good for her !!!
I've a dear friend who is Haitian. She lives in Europe and works for the UN. Most of her immediate and extended family are still in Haiti but I've no clue as to where on the island they live. I e-mailed her when the enormity of the disaster became evident. She got back to me promptly and said her family was fine and their house wasn't impacted. Then this morning, she sent me this from a mutual friend who is a Turkish healer and channel. . .

Please consider showing it to your daughter and see if she wants to tell her friends.

Feel free to post it on your other thread if you are compelled to do so.

I would but I"m frantically preparing for company right now.

Smooch her for me.

You are so blessed.

"Dear Friends,
my friend Shakeh sent me this yesterday. When ever you have time maybe you could also do the same to help recover people trapped under the rubles. My family is fine. I was able to reach all of them yesterday via skype.
Thank you
D."

=====================
"Dear Friends,

The following practice was given by Master DK yesterday. In case you wish to participate pls do so. This practice can also apply not only for Haiti or earthquakes. I believe there are many applications for it. What a creative idea of Master DK. Thank you Master.

Much love
Shakeh

He (Master DK) suggested World Service work by envisioning those who have been buried alive in the ruble of the earthquake as being surrounded in a cocoon and from this cocoon a lazer beam of light coming up to the surface. This light will work as a magnetic to assist in finding those who have been buried alive.

He also suggested for those who are wandering around in shock and need medical assistance to envision them also in this comforting cocoon and to ask that an angel be present with them.

Hopefully, we still have time to assist in rescuing move buried survivors and assisting those who need some help."

2. sending this to everyone I know involved wih energy work...
I think this is a great way to help and envision angels and light in a concentrated area. I like it! I know Laney wiull sure want to do this tonight, she already send "healing angels " to family & everyone whe hears of as ill or in need... quite a little priestess-in-training I have here!

thanks for the love, we all need to share MORE of that if we are to uplift this planet and it's people ;) but you alredy knew that! ;)

5. Not to belittle, but don't pretty much all kids want to do stuff like this
My nine year older gave me $20 out of his meager savings to donate; I think kids are naturally compassionate and it's just as they get older they become more cynical. I think it's called innocence.

6. On many levels, yes.... BUT
I also know plenty of kids who could give rat's ass about another's troubles...as long as it doesn;t interfere with their video games. My sister's kids are a perfect example...so it DOES have a lot to do with how they are raised and what we show them about compassion.

My kids grew up in a church environment preschool and I worked as the church secretary - they heard many tales of people I would try to help, and the preschool always had a gift tree for families for Christmas...they were aware of the need. We were broke and homeless when we left their father, for a couple years the only christmas I could give them was through donations...so believe me, that compasion sticks with you.

7. That's great! :)
And since you'll need a good variety of cookies, here's my Cooking & Baking link for biscotti (pic-heavy link.)

The dough is pretty easy, but it does require a fair amount of slicing and then the second baking :)
