A Cherokee Feast of Days--Daily Meditations |
|
When I made a new year's resolution to do a daily devotion in addition to positive affirmations, I was looking for something non-religious, and came across Joyce Sequichie Hifler's Cherokee Feast of Days, Daily Meditations. It has taken a commitment on my part to establish a routine, but I've found this to be a wonderful addition each day, to my quest for peace and tranquility. Here is today's meditation. It is especially meaningful to me.
January 19th We have to actively resist the suggestion that something is going to make us sick. It is not easy to talk illness and poverty without believing strongly that we may have to deal with them. The easiest way is to cancel negative suggestions and claim what we want. Money, which is a de la in Cherokee, will run for cover if we continually talk hardship—and we know what happens when someone tells us we do not look well. We begin to take our pulse and wonder whether we should lie down. Too much sympathy and self-pity destroys our immunity to difficulty. When we shut down on it and begin to talk health and begin to talk about excellent opportunities, then we open the way to be well and prosperous.

1. This is really nice, japple. |

I like the idea of positive affirmations on a daily basis. We all need to love ourselves more, and become more aware of how we can manifest our reality, positive or negative. :hi:

2. I truly love that book! I used to refer to it daily also. I think I should get back to doing that! |

Thanks for reminding me of it.
