I had HGTV on, and they called some septic inspector from the county, and he came out there with dowsing rods. He just very matter of factly checked the number on lines into the septic system with the rods, and based his decision completely on the results of that. The HGTV guy kept saying, "I've heard of that. Weird." Naturally, he tried it and it worked. Man, that would have driven the skeptics nuts!

It was one where they do a lot of structural stuff and a big guy is the host-- but not that Carter guy, someone else.

Great no-nonsense approach (and it's kind of fun to watch a good contractor bad-mouth bad contractors!) As for dowsing, well, the skeptics can say it's typical of those "wacky Canadians" or something. :eyes:

I love that Holmes on Homes guy, he's like the remodeling superhero coming to save the day. :)

6. yes, the septic tank was somehow important in the storyline |

I wasn't watching that carefully to the show until the guy brought out the "witching" rods.
Honestly, I feel that more professionals use these things than one would think. My nephew worked for the summer for an engineering outfit in town, and he basically just rode around town helping someone with various projects. At one point the guy brought out these rods from his truck, just like a carpenter would carry around a monkey wrench. My nephew had never heard of it, but tried it and said, amazingly, that it worked.
Honestly, I have never tried the rods, nor have I tried dowsing for water. I did go to a workshop one time where they used the rods to detect the strength of the auric field.

7. I went to a 3 day "shamanic" workshop and we were taught to |

use dowsing rods to find things and to answer questions. It was fascinating to watch them work, and it did seem that some of us were more sensitive to them than others. I find it reassuring that these things are going mainstream!
