It might still be in one of the admins' journals, or maybe it can be found with a search, authored by Skinner, I believe. Mainly they're TSing people who refuse to even attempt civil discourse. It's resulted in some sudden TSings lately--to the benefit of DU, I thought, till now. Perhaps the mods are using "Democrat party" as a sign of a troll? I can't imagine that being the case in this instance--more of a typo/mistake than intentional. But then what do I know...

reinstated people who politely explain what happened, admit they were wrong (hard I know) and promise not to do it again. It seems to be a misunderstanding. I hope she does it because she will be sorely missed here.

ASAH DUer who got TS'd. Apparently, she herself has to petition Skinner and the other administrators to be reinstated. I'm sure it's a misunderstanding and dealing directly with them, who are very fair, should clear up any misconceptions that had risen.

I had no idea until I got an email this morning from our other place. :( This is bizarre.

I had no idea about this new "zero tolerance" policy, either. Guess I'd better go see if I can find the post about it. Skinner's the author?

I haven't been posting much at all lately, or even reading. I feel bad to be so non-participatory, but I haven't had much choice.

I'm trying to get my master's project finished up so I can graduate this spring, and it's been kicking my butt. And the garden's been demanding attention, too. So, between those two things and regular family obligations, it's been hard to find time to do much of anything else. I hope to have it DONE in a few weeks so I can relax a little and can post more then.

Perhaps it's not so much "zero tolerance" as "swift and decisive action will be taken", especially on alerts. Maybe someone alerted on Win and suggested troll-like activity? Unfair, but there were some knee-jerk reactions in that animosity-laden thread. :shrug:
