FYI: The "other" ASAH site

I just wanted to clarify a few things about the "other" ASAH site for those who may not have been around then or have forgotten and may be feeling left out.

My intention in even suggesting we have another site (last summer, I believe) was simply because I, personally, sometimes felt inhibited in sharing some things at a public site such as DU. Sometimes details about the spiritual path can be quite personal; plus, we get so comfortable with one another here -- we are a family -- that we forget others who don't interact here can read everything we write.

That was the whole purpose for starting the private forum: to give us a safer, more private space to share even more openly than we do now, for others like myself who may feel inhibited in doing so at a public forum. Plus, it was just nice to be able to share photos, music and such. :)

I may have started the site but it most definitely isn't mine. MagickMuffin helped create it and (I hope) is still going to be around to help develop it.

Because there is also a live chat function there, it was suggested that site be used for the visualization/meditation Bonzai Bonnie has planned for next week. Then, winyanstaz was TS'd from DU and it become a sanctuary for us to still interact with her.

It doesn't replace this forum nor is it meant to. It's simply a vacation home...a private vacation home for ASAHers. That's all. :hi:

For now, if you want to join and need an invitation, just PM MagickMuffin, IHAD or myself with your email. We can then send an invite. :) As more and more of you become comfortable there and want to help "manage" the site, let us know!

1. Hey You, I was just coming here to post something about our "Safe Haven" ;=D

I think with the recent events we should have a little more activity over there. It will be great to share more details about our journeys along the path of personal discoveries. I'm looking forward to being back in the groove of sharing with everyone.

I often share openly here and forget that this is very public.... thanks for the reminder.
I think sometimes we forget there can be the need for discretion or 'safety' in places like this, even though those of us that post here ARE so very close and caring for eachother...lurkers remain a very real probability.
