Selfish plea for energy
I've got chest cold that is kicking me around pretty badly, and am in desperate need of some energy. Any you can spare would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

1. Prayers sent
Would you like to hear about some old-fashioned remedies?
I recommend hot lemonade with honey. It really helps to break up phlegm in the chest. I had a bad cold about a month ago and hot lemonade really helped me.

3. Thanks -- I'll definitely try that
Just bought some lemons at the market a couple of days ago.

This one hit me fast. I was sniffly all day Friday, and thought it was allergies (those pink trees that always mess with me are in full bloom right now), but yesterday I couldn't get a deep breath, and today the congestion is bad.

I'm going to make some lemonade right now. The worst thing about a chest cold is I get so exhausted just doing something minor like feeding the cat.

5. Thanks IHAD
Feeling pretty rotten -- I heard one of my guides say "just calm down and get some rest", so I'm guessing this is my body's way of making me stop and rest.

6. Oh yeah, hot water heater went out this a.m.
No hot water until I can get someone out here tomorrow.

Ugh!

Thanks so much for the energy Stella.

9. Good things are never selfish
Trying to hoard for oneself what one believes to be good things is selfish, but just plain good things, asked for, accepted, and shared? Never :)

16. But of course
Sending healing light now.

This "sudden" cold seems to be traveling quickly--my son came down with it last night, and you're right that it comes on out of nowhere. Around 4 p.m. he started sneezing one too many times for my peace of mind (I knew it wasn't just dust etc.), and by his bedtime he was snurfling so much I had to use nose spray on him so he could sleep peacefully. Add the time change to that (difficulty falling asleep), and I decided to keep him home from school today. I also got the message to have him "stop and rest", so I figured "an ounce of prevention" and all that--namely it'll prevent him from staying home more than one day later in the week.

Anyway, wrap yourself up in your favorite blankie and lounge around today, Kookaburra. Oh--and nap. Naps are always good. :)

19. Thanks to everyone for the light and energy and well wishes
I finally broke down, after my second sleepless night, and saw the doc today. It's bronchitis, and a touch of pneumonia. Yikes!!!

I'm now on 4 different meds -- one of which makes me super duper loopy -- but at least I can breathe now.

The other good news? I've lost 5 pounds.
