Venus in Taurus and a little help please...
Venus in Taurus ~ March 31 to April 25, 2010

http://www.astrogrrl.com/2010/03/venus-in-taurus-march-31-to-april-25.html

It's been a short three weeks since Venus entered Aries. Now she's ready to move on and leave the spontaneity of Aries for the stability of Taurus. Venus governs Taurus and now comes home. Venus represents love (how we love & how we want to be loved), relationships (how we relate to others & the self), worth (material and self), our values and personal tastes.

(And now the part that always confuses me...)

How will this Venus transit influence your birth chart? Look to the natal house/s ruled by Taurus. Match the signs with the house cusps on your birth chart. Use the list of zodiac signs below to identify the Taurus zodiac sign on your birth chart then click here for a brief explanation.

---

So am I looking at my 10th house (taurus) or my 7th (venus) or something completely different?

1. I just love your chart.
Ahem, sorry, I get carried away sometimes. Anyway, Look at Taurus in your chart, up there in the midheaven. Venus there may bring public displays of affection. She's opposite your Mars, so watch out for arguments with your beau. She sextiles your Moon soon enough, making you feel warm and fuzzy all over. Buy some new art for your house.

I used to have a corkboard with my chart mounted on it. I had pushpins that I marked with the planets, and I moved the pins around the outside of my chart as the planets transited.

16. Mars is still in Aries.
Where's that Capricorn patience? I know, I know, swallowed up by the Leo rising.

5. I read every pop astrology book in the '70s...
but I learned just as much from following the transits, especially the Moon. I tell people who want to learn astrology to get an astrological calender.

21. I loved Debbie Kempton Smith's book
I must have read that book a hundred times when I was in high school or my early 20's. I LOVED her sense of humour.

Sadly, the binding fell apart and I lost it, bit by bit.

11. The current Saturn/Pluto square is aspecting your moon
Pluto opposite your moon, and Saturn square it.

I've got that Pluto conjunct my moon now, and Saturn square it. Things are very challenging for me right now. How about you?

In the end, I know it will be beneficial; Pluto is transforming - the Phoenix analogy.

12. I hate Pluto.
:(

Can I just go to sleep and wake up when I'm all fixed?

Yes, challenging indeed (emotionally in my intimate relationships -- work, kid, home, etc. is pretty normal.) I look good though. I look younger now, which is sort of weird. But I'm actully sick of people telling me I look good when I feel like such crap on the inside!!

(BTW, I added my birth info one thread up, which showed up after your post.)

15. You can't hate Pluto.
Well, you can, but it won't do you any good. Cancer Moon likes to hold on to things/people/ideas, and Pluto will tear things out of your grasp if they no longer serve you. That's the key here, "...if they no longer serve you." Now is a great time to be doing yoga and meditating every night, finding that calm place at your center. Pluto is just clearing the decks for all those wonderful things that come next.

I took a teaching job once under Pluto transits (square my Moon, then trine my Sun). I thought I was setting my future career into action. I couldn't hack the job longer than two years, but at work I met some people who have been important to me for a long time. I also started on workshops to get my head on straight. With that learning I was able to marry a wonderful woman. She moved on under a Saturn influence, but I still love her dearly and carry her love with me (and she'll be back from 5 months in India soon, we'll probably have dinner).

Oh, and Capricorns don't grow old. You start out old and grow younger.

18. I know, I know.
PFfft (that's me sticking out my tongue and blowing raspberries.)

I just remembered this morning, when I was a little girl, I met a woman who asked me how old I was. When I told her I was 4, she nearly fell over and told my mother she thought I was at least 8. I was mortified, because I thought the older I got, the older I would look. But now people guess my age to be about 6 years younger than I really am. Yay!

19. I'm the same
I looked a lot older when I was younger, and now am being mistaken for a decade or more younger than my chronological age. But I feel a lot younger, too. I grew up in a very repressive household - don't show love, emotion, enthusiasm, etc. (Capricorn moon) Anger was okay. I have a lot of fire in my chart (not sun or moon, they're both earth), so it got turned inwards in a very bad way.

Was able to release the past, connect with the positive fire and now I often feel like a kid again. I don't recognize the person I used to be. Maybe I AM having my childhood now. :D

And yeah, I'd love to wake up when Pluto's done with me, too. But I've dug into the depths before, faced a lot and I guess I feel I can do it again if need be.

I hope. :hide:

I hope you find the strength to deal with the challenges Pluto brings.

14. Check it out...
Your Moon is conjunct my Sun, with your Mars opposite. Your Pluto is on my ascendant. I have 5 planets between 26 and 29 of various signs. It's like even if we never meet we've met, see?

Wouldn't it be great if people could do that - hey, your x & y is on my z(ed, because I'm Canadian)and I like you! :D

My moon is at 7 Cap, so the fun has just begun with Pluto. :scared: It's made itself known in a big way already. I hope by the time it exactly reaches my moon the sheet has already hit the fan and the transformative process will have begun.

My relationship that just ended was with a man who had his sun only a couple of degrees off from yours. I have Juno there, too. I like Cancerian people, and have or have had a lot of them in my life.

edit: my chart:

22. The transformative process...
will not lead where you think, it goes in ways we cannot imagine when Pluto comes around. I'm just hanging on for the ride right now. But there is no beginning or end, we are always in the middle (hence the north and south nodes of the Moon). With your Uranus-Pluto conjunction you have a firm grasp of what it means to go through changes. You carry that tumultuous energy of the decade that some who lived through it have left behind. But earth signs don't always adapt as easily as air or fire.

23. Do we still look to the planet Pluto is aspecting,
the house in which it is located and also the house which that planet rules?

Or does that get thrown out the window with Pluto?

I know there is no sense in fighting the changes, and am just waiting to see where they take me. I welcome the changes, because I need them. I feel a lot of volatile (not dangerous or negative, just a lot of stirred up) energy inside of me that needs direction.

I'm calling this the Great Purge of 2010...it's on many levels. Amidst my move I am getting rid of stuff (not that I have a lot to begin with). Instead of accumulating, I feel the need to pare down to the minimal of what I need. I just don't feel like carrying it around with me any more. I wish I could fit everything I need into a car, like in college days.

I think this move is just in preparation for a larger move out of a city, and a province, that I dislike immensely (with the exception of a few wonderful people, and some lovely landscapes in the southern areas), that an opportunity will present itself. I'm on a disability pension so I don't have the resources to do it, realistically. But I feel very strongly something is brewing.

I'm all too familiar with having to start over again and again, or make changes/adjustments/readjustments, much of it due to my dodgy health. I identify with the Phoenix analogy a lot.

I hope Pluto is gentle with you.

24. Yes, yes, and not so much.
I save rulerships for personality interpretation, there's plenty of info without them when talking transits. Oddly enough, I look at Saturn when getting rid of stuff. Pluto is deeper, I take it as a purge of attitudes, emotions, and sure, cities. But since Saturn is in the mix, stuff is going too.

Believe that you are healthy - you may not feel any better but you will be happier ;-)

I hope Pluto takes you to heights that you never dreamed possible.

26. I would consider myself happy
I don't like living here any more and am ready for a change, but I am happy and even moreso - grateful. I think when you've hit the point where you haven't been able to take care of yourself at all, where something as simple as walking was completely beyond me...every day that I can do these things now (and much more) is a cause for celebration.

I now take great pleasure in the simple things, yet I do need to experience a lot; I missed many years, most of my 30's, to illness. Life begins at 40 - bring on the adventures! :woohoo:

Thanks, I hope Pluto does so, too.
