Faery magic again?
I had something rather strange happen to me that came to a head yesterday. It started back two weeks ago today when my family treated me out to dinner that Thursday night at a very nice restaurant. I always carry a set of reading glasses in my purse that I use when I'm at work or out someplace that I need to read something. Otherwise those glasses never leave my purse because I have reading glasses scattered around the house to use in places like my computer station when I might need to use them. So I read the menu and thought that I returned them to my purse, but I don't remember exactly. Well, I thought nothing of it until I went to work the next day on a Friday and the first thing I do is take my glasses out of my purse. I did this and there were no glasses. I dumped the contents of my purse on my desk and there were no glasses. Fortunately, the first patient had cancelled so the doctor let me run home to pick up another set of glasses.

I picked up one of the spares and finished the rest of the day at work, going into my drawers and file cabinets like I always do as I need to fish out stuff to work with. I did not see any glasses in any of those drawers, although I admit I wasn't looking for them because I had opened my purse and discovered the glasses gone before I had opened any drawers. Also, I keep them on a small shelf under the top of my desk when I'm not using them, never in a drawer and the shelf was empty other than the spare I had brought from home. After work I went to the restaurant and they didn't have them. I wasn't worried about the glasses because they are cheap ones I buy for $10 for three. But the case was a very nice designer case that I had bought as a treat for myself and I wanted it back. By that time I figured someone had picked the case up and noticed the case was very nice and kept it.

I forgot about it going to work the next week. No glasses in the nice case were anywhere in sight. Then I had a week off because my boss went out of town to spend Passover with his family. I went back to work yesterday and went through my routine, setting my desk up for the day, which includes putting the glasses on the little shelf and going into the top drawer to get some supplies out. There on top of everything in plain sight were the glasses and the case in the drawer. I don't know what to make of it. I don't know how they got into the drawer. I swear I didn't put them there and why didn't I notice them until yesterday? I had not even asked the faeries to help me find them this time.

What do you all make of it?

1. Either Faery's or
Altzheimers!!! Sorry just kidding. I couldn't let that one pass!! I hope you are not offended, as we are near the same age, and my Mom actually had Altz. for 13 years. She used to wander at night and hide things....all over the house....so well that my Dad never found them!! Is it possible someone who works with you was playing tricks?? or is this an Aprils Fools post?

2. I was afraid people would think it's an April Fools post and thought I should

wait a day, but I couldn't. It was too eerie to keep it to myself one more day. LOL. No, I'm not offended and if there had been any facet that I might not be sure about, I myself would have blamed it on senior memory. It's the fact that I had the glasses at the restaurant the night before and when I didn't have them the next day at work, when the very first thing I did when I walked through the door of the office was to go into my purse for the glasses and they weren't there is what makes this weird. Now I could have lost them at home or in the car and obviously at the restaurant. But they didn't turn up in any of those places for the week and a half that they were missing. I hadn't been in the office since I last worked for a week so that eliminates the doctor finding them in the office and putting them in the drawer because they weren't in my purse to get lost in the office in the first place. I did ask him anyway if he had done so and he hadn't. The doctor is the only person I work with besides the patients and he doesn't have the sense of humor to do stuff like this. Now maybe my family could have but they don't have access to the office. They don't even know where it is.

3. Nice to know your faeries help you find things
I had heard they liked to hide things as a game.

4. That's a possibility. Just where did the glasses disappear from (my purse?) and why did

they reappear in a different place? I wonder why they didn't wait until today April Fool's day for the reappearance? Maybe because it would be too obvious? I wonder if they are trying to get my attention about something. I can't figure out what.

5. Or maybe
they fell out of your purse without your notice and someone found them and put them in your drawer.

I like the fairie theory better though.

6. I thought of that too, but the only person who could have done it is the
doctor and he said he didn't. I thought maybe he had found them and put them in the drawer. He was the first person I asked when I discovered the glasses in the drawer yesterday. Besides that the drawer was stilled locked when I discovered my glasses missing. I honestly thought they might have fallen out in either my car or my family's car but searching both cars turned up nothing.
