1. Thanks, JA! Doing fine here in Southern California. |
|
It was a whopper though nothing fell. It just seemed like wasn't going to stop rolling and rumbling. Further south, about an hour from me, and a closer to the border, it caused my parents (other people, as well) to go running out of their houses. It was the first one for my folks, now living here for a little over 2 years.
Other are still feeling aftershocks. I heard it was upgraded to a 7.3.
Thanks for checking

and Arizona felt it. It was amazing, alright. I'm just glad that Mr. KOB was here because I panicked big time - this time because they're usually not bad all

4. So glad to hear you are OK! |

I'm concerned now, because I heard on the late news that there could possibly be more coming in the next few days!! You guys should get some bicycle helmets and keep them handy! Have you heard from Fire Walk With Me?? I see he's out there along with rumple and First light???? Please stay safe all. I wish we all could join a commune somewhere high up in the mountains where eagles fly, and we can grow our own food. Just to be there for each other in stressful times!!I guess that's why God gave us the internet tho'. Safe hugs to you all in dangers way this week!!:grouphug:

6. What time did the quake happen? |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-05-10 11:43 AM by FirstLight
I am in Tahoe but wonder if there were some waves that could have been felt last night?
I am afraid that we are really NOT done wth this earth movement on the west coast. The pressure gets released in one place but it just moves to another point and needs to release again. The bay area, north CA coast may be next...and those Oregon volcanoes aren't feeling too good to me right now either... :scared:
lots of changes afoot, hang on!

12. I'm glad that you're doing great but |
|
stop it with the earthquake goading! If we don't pay attention to them, they'll just go away.
:scared: :hide:
I really don't want crap to continue, but as stated earlier, I am afraid to look.
Be well, everyone.

7. Yikes, epicenter was in middle of dormant volcano? |
|
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8090956For some reason, that sounds extra ominous as far as the potential domino effect. :-(

8. We're sitting in the middle of the caldera of a dormant volcano here |

in San Luis Obispo County. The evidence is all around us. There are the cone shaped hills they call morros, which are volcanic. There are the sulfur hot springs scattered around that cater to vacationers. Although most of the volcano like Yellowstone has sunk from mountain to hilly terrain, there are the black lava outcrops that stick up through the grassy hills. It's still a very old volcano. I believe we are next up the chain after Los Angeles as we are on top of several faults too.

11. Right along a line of volcanic uplifing. |
|
Not a scientific term
The topology of that region is flat, with a line of hills, and the epicenter was a line directly under/through that line of hills.

10. There will come a day in which it will be a good idea to leave California. |
|
Perhaps even the West Coast in general. I don't know when, or if. But the potential certainly rumbles and prods us into taking it utterly seriously. Probably the Salamanders involved. They are NOT to be ignored.
I was taught (and don't try this if you're not skilled!!!) that you may placate them with the offering of the sound, like a snake but softer, "ssssss", down into the Earth magma. It does get their attention, and you have to want it in the first place as they are Serious elementals.
I have said, years ago on another website, that there is the potential for volcanism in the Seattle/North Washington area. This was before the Shift, and IIRC before BushCo leaving, before the positive actually began and some extremely negative trends were negated.
But on a similar note: Take a look at Mount Shasta's energy! HOOOO!
Please note, and to be completely fair to any tracking my activities here, that I did -not- predict or sense this earthquake, unless you want to place it under my very general "March through the first two weeks of April" statement in the March Intuit/Dreaming thread. I make zero claim of specific prediction (also with the Chile quake).
FirstLight did indeed say in March that the (big) quakes are not over. This includes the ones I predicted...give her some thunder here! Whoohooo!
WinyanStaz was very close, but no further "ring of fire" bites just yet.
