Pluto/Saturn retrograde begins today
Big Yikes. This is from astrology.com

Pluto, the planet of transformation, takes a whopping 248 years to complete a single cycle of rotation around the Sun. On average, it spends 21 years in each sign and 5 months of each year in retrograde.

Pluto turns retrograde in Capricorn on April 6 at 7:34 pm PDT (2:34 am April 7 UT), signaling in a time of destruction and rebuilding along with rejuvenation and regeneration. It is a time for fresh starts and dead ends. The things that are most important to us and we hang on to the tightest, may suddenly be taken away from us. In addition, we may be forced to reevaluate the things we cherish most.

A Pluto retrograde period makes us focus on, eliminate and release the old, outworn, outdated and obsolete in our lives. We will be urged to let go of old attitudes, communication and thinking patterns that no longer serve our purpose. We may feel the need to re-evaluate our needs for security and asked to eliminate rigid emotions that no longer serve us. This is an excellent time to undergo an internal form of house cleaning, and look into ourselves to determine exactly what we do and do not need.

Pluto retrograde imparts an intense power for investigation, so we should use this time to assess what reoccurring patterns in our lives make us feel out of control, where and why do we continually give our power away, and under what circumstances do we react so defensively that we elicit attacks from others. Pluto retrograde marks a time wherein we should seek to gain greater control over our lives.

Another important astrological event happening on April 7 is retrograde Saturn, moving back into Virgo for a final time in its retrograde motion. Saturn is the planet of self-discipline and duty and Virgo rules work and health, so now is the time to get serious about everything practical. Evaluate work processes and streamline for efficiency. Saturn is firm about putting down limits so at times it will feel like all work and no play. Learning to be good to yourself is also part of Saturn's lesson, so now is the time to learn not to overdo things. If you're realistic now, then by mid July when Saturn moves on into fair minded Libra, you will be healthier, better organized and ready for Saturn's direct
influence.

The rest was an ad to buy my personal forecast.

1. ding! ding! ding!
Ya, I am getting rolled by this already...

old patterns, outmoded belifes, health issues & self destructive ways? check.

security, work/play balance & realistic goals? check.

ya...I'm trying not to crawl back under the covers & hide right now....

2. I expect to lose my sister in this time frame
her sun is in Capricorn. Her cancer became apparent back around when Pluto entered Capricorn.

My mother, also sun in Capricorn, died I think either around Pluto Station or Pluto retro or coming out of retro in Capricorn -- I forget which was going on July 25,2008.

For me, personally, all is in the air. I have property taxes, animal vax, summer hay and summer tuition bills all about to hit at once. I need my tax return in time to possibly, barely do it, but had file snail-mail because for the 1st time I couldn't get efiling to work (1st time it was privatized, too, if memory serves)! Part of me wishes I'd filed back in January when I planned...but then I wouldn't have known about the tuition stimulus, which is more than half my total return.

I learned about 2 peer-to-peer low-interest personal loan sites. They cut the banks out completely, no fees unless you get a loan, and the loans average around 9%. But neither is operating in Maine right now, although one told me to call back in 1-2 months -- they've literally just applied here and it takes 1-2 months to get approved. If I get through all this and there is still a society left, this is one way I plan to invest --nothing like helping your fellow citizens directly as they fix or expand their lives and cut the big bank thieves out of the process. (for anyone with actual money to invest, the 2 sites are lendingclub.com and prosper.com and are sec regulated. they're similar to micro-lending programs in 3rd world countries.)

4. dear NL
I am sorry about your sister. I can only imagine how hard this must be.:hug::hug: To your sister I offer this mantra. Om Mani Padme Hum.

I feel that you are going to be alright financially. This is a good time to anchor actions to belief. Know that you rest in the hands of the Mother. Don't be afraid.

8. Yep. Tomorrow's my freaking birthday.
I'd like to wrap myself up in a huge ball of bubble wrap sort of like the delivery system used on the last Mars lander. :hide:

10. REALLY feeling this in the workplace this week
Lots of things coming to a head, the "old guard" refusing to let go of their established patterns, the "new kids" trying to push through reforms for the betterment of all, with much resistance. Lots of people showing their true colors and overplaying their hands!

12. yes yes yes!
Be the change. If you think it's going to be hard, it will be. If you think it will be easier than you know, it will be. This is happening in my life right now, I'm seeing it and living it. And yes, it's been hard because that's what I told myself to expect - and then it becomes easy when I relax and release my fears.

Thoughts can be changed. Attitudes can be changed. Feelings and emotions are transitory and changeable. Our experience is as much a "living" thing as any sentient being. If we tend to each experience with care and attention, providing what it needs and what we are capable of providing (our best effort), the situation will resolve to its best end.

15. I'm afraid that my poor daughter is suffering now.
Doing my best to help her, and maybe together she'll attain a comfortable place, which we thought had already been accomplished.

16. DING DING DING indeed.
Husband sank into a bottle for two days and was not staying at the house.

Oh, yeah: "The things that are most important to us and we hang on to the tightest, may suddenly be taken away from us. Are you KIDDING?!!!!

I think our job as a couple was to act this out completely this weekend/Monday. OMG, I wish I had read this earlier. Thanks for posting...
