Cindy Sheehan Online Vigil Thread
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 06:02 PM by divineorder
I can't go to a vigil, and from what I am reading online, a lot of other people are in the same boat. But there is no distance in Spirit and the communing of minds and hearts. So I am providing a space online for people to commune together on this

Things to focus on:

Divine Protection for Cindy and all those around her.

The awakening of the American people goes smoothly and peacefully.

<>

I plan to light one of those long-lasting vigil candles (the ones in the glass jars) in her honor. I suggest that if you can do so safely, please do.

One more request. I'm on dialup and would like to be able to read all of the entries. When the thread gets to 80, could you please start a new one?

And now an accompanying midi:

2. Oh God
May your wings of Protection cover and heal Cindy Sheehan. May she be surrounded by a wall of white light on all sides, with your Angels hovering over her in comfort and healing.

May this vigil give America the strength to choose peace over war, forgiveness over resentment, human needs over the needs of the war machine. May this lead to an America where no one goes unfed, unhoused, uncared for and alone. May this make America a nation of neighbors instead of adversaries, a community in communion rather than in consuming.

May our liberties by restored, protected, expanded and cherished. Many have worked and suffered to make it so, may we recieve their inheritance with reverence and a committment to further freedom.

In Your Name We Pray...
Amen

5. Thanks Everyone
While I had intended it for last night, the ongoing vigil works much better. Cindy needs an ongoing presence over the weeks and months, and we won't be able to hold visible vigils every day. But in cyberspace, there can be a prayer said or read every second, minute, and hour of the day for her and her success and safety.
I fell asleep and didn't light my candle last night, and I'm going to work now and don't want to leave a burning candle, even in a full glass.

But I will do so this evening when I get home and leave it lit for several hours.

7. Cindy's Mother
Please keep her in your prayers that she makes a full recovery, and that Cindy has the strength to perservere. Pray for her husband that he finds peace and reconciliation and comfort now too. And of course, may they all be protected and healed.

11. Devinsgramma,
The midi is called Elegy-I don't know who the composer is, and when I did a search the site I found the midi on didn't have the name of the composer either. I just host that midi, that's all, so listen away!

Good news on Sheehan's mother: she seems to be recovering from her stroke fairly nicely. My mother had as stroke years ago, and except for her not using her right hand, she's fine. A lot depends upon where the stroke occurs, the kind of therapy that's given, and of course, the overall prognosis.

More people are coming to Crawford-and I feel this distresses the shrub-maybe they thought the people would go away with Cindi. But the war has touched far more famiies than Cindy, and stirred much deeper emotions than one woman can contain.

Pray that peace remains around Camp Casey.

12. The Power Of One
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 01:24 AM by mntleo2
Is the power of many becoming one.

It takes one atom moving
So the rest of its kind creates a nova,
It takes the softness of one dandilion
Craving the sun to burst
Through the strength of concrete...
It takes one star to light a whole world.
It takes the power of one,
And when one is multiplied countlessly by itself by many ones,
Yet still, it is only one.
Cindy is one,
And her voice is being joined by many to become one.
May she and all who are around her
Be held gently by the hand of
The Creator who is All that Is, the Ultimate One.

Love,
Cat In Seattle

14. Vizualize Peace
I read Kos' rant yesterday, and I began to sense why. From what I remember in my days in metaphysical learning, the best vizualizations were always specific and focused. Visualize Peace: what does that mean, and how does it look? When we can describe what it looks like, how deeply it goes, and how strong it is, then we will achieve what we seek.

We seek protection for Cindy in all of her endeavors, travels. We pray that every public and private word, communication and appearance is foccussed, positive and effective in reaching her goals.

We viszualize with her the troops coming off the gangplank home, the hugs, the laughter. The people waiting at the airport who get to greet people. We also visualize that something-a paper, an inadvertent slip of the tongue, an unexpected meeting=will give Cindy the answer she seeks.

Vigil = A watch kept during normal sleeping hours.
The act or a period of observing; surveillance.

Our paid watchman has failed miserably. It is up to We, the People, to cover our land with Peace.
We can do that.
