Putting out the garbage!!
I had to smile when Ricochetastroman talked about the changes coming. Where we would need to clean out/get rid of baggage. Here in Nashville the streets are lined with peoples' wreckage. The city has us putting out everything on the street in piles...and they haven't really started picking it up yet. So as I walk my dog around the neighborhood, you see the refuse...carpet, clothing, furniture, etc. I had to think..Lord why do we have so much crap and You know, it's just stuff. It has been touching to see people reaching out to help each other and to see people reassess what is truly important...

1. That's a great way to see the silver lining, Sybster
Good on you. :toast: Yes, despite Gloomy Guses who say that humans are basically selfish and in it for themselves, when we're faced with a tough situation, we do rise to the occasion, don't we? :)

I've been putting out the garbage as well, even without a flood. I don't usually have the overwhelming urge to do major spring cleaning that includes purging (I usually just do the cleanliness thing--dusting etc.), but this year I have been emptying the closets--and do we have closets!!! They're deep and they're tall and they're packed with crap. Many clothes to charity so far, and lots of peeping into boxes in preparation for the village-wide garage sale in a couple of weeks. I even convinced MG Jr., who likes to hang onto toys that he doesn't play with anymore, to clear out his old stuff--I told him he could keep any money he makes by selling his toys and baby DVDs and could buy...more stuff. But hey, he's a kid.

Now...if I could only convince Mr. MG to clean out the garage... x(

3. Humans *do* have the capacity for great love and resourcefulness
Thanks for making this point today. I have been hormonal this week and struggling against that rage and gloomies, even in the face of so many wonderful things coming to the surface. I agree, it is time to collectively put the garbage on the curb...I am SO right there with you!

Release comes with each of these waves of change & shift we are riding now...and what a relief to realize we can travel *light* across the gap...?

For some it is easier than others. Those invested in much of the old paradigm are losing their homes, families, marriages, etc because God/dess is literally 'cutting the cord'.
But for others, we may as well be born to be Nomads.I have had that tendency for most of my life...being able to leave with "whatever I can carry"
- And as much as I'd like to think I may be starting something or making something concrete at certain times in my life (job, marriage, living situation...) I am always amazed at the flux of these situations or people that many would take for being 'permanent'

interesting reflection you are showing me in your mirror...thanks!

*namaste*

4. sybster1000, I'm thinking of you

I hope that you and your neighbors are all safe, and that the cleanup/rebuilding goes well. I'm so sorry this all happened to you.

The annual conference I typically attend had to move out of the Gaylord Opryland because of the flooding. It's now in Orlando. I still want to go, but right now, it looks fairly grim. It's either going to happen, or it's not. LOL!

Housework is not my thing under the best of circumstances. I hate it. At the same time, I'm getting the urge to clean out/get rid of stuff, too. There's just too much here, and I'll bet other people could use some of the stuff we've been hanging onto more.

You're right. It's just stuff. We're getting another lesson on what's most important for all of us.

-MV

edited, because it would be good if I remembered how to construct a sentence. ;-)

5. Sorry that you and SouthernCrone are experiencing this aspect of the Shift.
I hope that it results somehow in something far better for you both.
