It's okay to let this one sink, but I have to say |

Dang! My neighbor is impressive. I heard him outside earlier with the weed eater, and went out to talk. He said he'd come by later, but now had to get the yard done before the storm. What storm? The sky was beautiful Carolina blue and just a couple of puffy clouds. So I gave him a look (indulging the crazy person) and said the lemonade would be ready when he was done.
Not 5 minutes after he shut off his lawn mower, I heard a thunder clap, and looked outside to see big dark thunderheads.
That's what I call excellent timing.

He could have looked at the tv to see weather radar, but I don't think he did -- mainly because cable in our neighborhood has been out for a few hours now while they've worked on it, and he's been running around with his kids all day. I prefer to think it's something supernatural.

3. I used to be able to smell rain coming |
|
Drove everyone nuts. Same thing--weather perfectly clear, but I knew it was coming.
Now I live in a different part of the country, and my sense of smell probably isn't as acute.

4. Rain must smell different where you are now. |
|
That's so cool that you could smell the rain coming.
