A continuation of the "crabby, crabby, crabby" post

Okay. We tried to order pizza from the local Domino's last night. (We like the new crust, sauce, and DH really loves the cheese bread.) The pizza was late. We called to inquire where it might be, and I was calm and polite on the phone. The guy representing himself as the manager on the phone went Defcon Five on me. It was incredible. I haven't been involved in a phone conversation that went that bad, that fast, in years. Needless to say, we cancelled the order and drove to the make-it-yourself pizza place.

My writers' group is also undergoing some significant unpleasantness over an issue started by a woman who accused another woman of "cheating", and will not back off of a deliberately offensive and nasty narrative.

I'm looking forward to some peace and quiet. Rick, how long is this all going to go on?

1. Speaking of crabby ...

... I've been battling some kind of poison ivy or hives or something for about 3 weeks now, my legs are covered in itchy sores and I look like a leper. Ugh.

Over the weekend, my crappy car (a 5 year old Toyota hatchback stickshift w/ duct tape holding one of the windshield wipers on) was broken into - not once, but TWICE. First time (Thursday over night) someone had the stones to go thru it IN MY GARAGE. They stole the money out of the ashtray (approx 50cents in pennies) and scattered my cd's all over the yard. Then, out to dinner with friends on Saturday evening and someone smashed the passenger window and went thru the car in the restaurant parking lot. Not even 50cents in pennies for them to steal this time, so they just upended my glove compartment.

2. A long, long time

with many ups and downs. That's my best answer. :hi:

Pluto is not letting us (any of us) get away with running from our crap. And guys like that think they can dump it on you.
We have to get better at deflecting it and having 0 expectations on how others are. That's the only way Cheryl and I see through it all.

Altho, the trigger was aggessive ole Mars moving into 0 Virgo last night. He must have had PMS.

Let him be in his stuff. You got your own to deal with, I assume? I know I have plenty.

5. I thought about you right after I hung up the phone!

It was a little after 7 PM Pacific time. I wondered to myself what you would have to say about this!

I absolutely have my own stuff, and I'm trying to remember what you said: Don't take it personally, and realize that some days will be easier than others. ;-)

4. FWWM, I don't know if there's a franchise where you are

They make the pizza, we bring it home and bake it. It's not as good as "pizzeria" pizza, but it's fine. We enjoy it.
