New on Starlight News: A Bitter Harvest
http://starlightnews.com

Although technically summer ends with the Vernal Equinox in late September, in reality, summer in the United States is over around Labor Day, when the pools close, the schools reopen, and families are back from whatever far-away escape they managed to conjure up during the heat and haze of July and August. Closing the door on the season of warmth and play and moving us into the structured rhythm of the working world, the advent of September brings with it a decided shift in our lives. In the coming days, George Bush will return from his extended dithering in the Crawford playpen to reluctantly encounter a worsening morass of dysfunction and failure of his own creation; Congress will return to the vicious and bloody frontline of the Culture Wars; and Iraq, having missed the memo about summer vacation, will continue as it has been, only worse.

1. Strong work, Nancy. Thank you ....Tearing down Stone Walls
I read this news item on DU immediately after reading your essay.

To me the news of Tearing Down Bush's Stone Walls as a project of the Dems, seemed to fit the imagery you summoned with Saturn going over Bush's ASC Mercury and Pluto --

http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=52233

Democratic National Committee: Mr. Bush, Tear Down That Stone Wall!

WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Following is a release from the Democratic National Committee:

MR. BUSH, TEAR DOWN THAT STONE WALL!

A daily service of the DNC, "Mr. Bush, Tear Down That Stone Wall!" will highlight a specific fact that has been revealed and what Americans deserve to know about the White House's involvement in the improper and possibly illegal disclosure of an undercover CIA agent's identity for political gain.

WHAT'S BEEN UNCOVERED

Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) To Conduct Hearings On CIA's Use Of Cover To Protect Intelligence Officers. Senator Pat Roberts, Republican of Kansas, said on the CNN program "Late Edition" that the Senate Intelligence Committee was "going to go into quite a series of hearings in regard to cover." Valerie Wilson had worked under cover for the agency for 18 years before being publicly identified as a CIA operative in 2003. Roberts said there were questions about the depth of Ms. Wilson's cover, because she had been based at the Virginia headquarters of the CIA at least since 1997. (New York Times, 7/25/05)

WHAT AMERICANS DESERVE TO KNOW Why have Congressional Republicans been so quick to investigate the CIA's covert operative standards, but refuse to investigate what appears to be a culture of corruption in the White House that allowed the leaking of a CIA operative's identity? Why have they spent their time questioning Plame's status instead of questioning the White House's conduct?

Has the White House already shared information about the outing of Plame with Congressional Republicans that has convinced them not to hold hearings specifically on Rove or other Administration officials? Is it because they owe their political fortunes to Rove? Why has the Administration allowed Republicans to continue questioning Valerie Plame's status as a covert operative when they have said that any comment on this situation is inappropriate in light of the ongoing investigation?

45 days Since The American Public Learned That A White House Official With Security Clearance Leaked The Identity Of A Covert CIA Operative. To read more about the improper and possibly illegal outing of Valerie Plame's identity, including previous "Stonewall" releases, go to:

2. Good One Nance
It looks like the chickens are finally coming home to roost. I fervently hope, that as Fitzgerald is supposed to finish up his investigation, some time in Oct., that indictments will be handed down to the malefactors in the WH, further adding to their burdens. They decided to live by the sword (and lies, deceit, treason and corruption) so let them die by it too.

5. Yes, ME, the Fitzgerald probe is definitely part of it
Probably that Saturn station on Bush's Pluto and on Cheney's Sun from mid-October to mid December, potently spiced by the Mars station. I sure hope so. Maybe that is also part of what Congress will be fighting over: what to do about all the criminality.

8. Nancy, your former predictions about bush facing hell starting in Sept.
seem to be spot on, given all that is FINALLY coming down around the ears of the neocon administration. Even a FEW people in the MSM are throwing a few jabs his way. (Also related to your previous predictions about the press and the Uranus/Mercury interaction.)

The Cindy smears are likely going to blow up in their faces. The war couldn't be worse. The economy is hanging by it's last thread. They keep stepping in deeper doodoo daily on the Plame thing. Delay and his treachery are becoming more well-known. And, don't forget; there is going to be a massive, a HUGE demonstration in Washington, DC on September 24.

From your article:

" Moreover, the natal Mars/Uranus square of the Congress chart will be intensified by the transit of Uranus to the exact square with Mars from September 24 through November 29, 2005, with special emphasis on the station throughout November. Thus, as brutal and vicious as the Gulf War will be this fall, so also will be the incredibly hostile war of words in the halls of Congress."

As shown by the Camp Casey/Cindy Sheehan battle with the rabid pro-nazi neocon protesters, tempers are beginning to show. The Left side of the aisle has been so complacent and cowed, for so long, that the rabid right thinks with enough shouting, we'll all go back and sit down and be quiet.

Iraq may not be the only country with a civil war problem this fall.

media and republicans really want to keep pushing it until they are finally able to draw the blood they never saw in warfare. The ones who know war and/or suffering, don't want any part of it.

The Path of the Warrior is the path of peace. The true warrior doesn't love battle for battle's sake, but knows when it is time to fight.

 I just hate it that after all these thousands of years, humanity hasn't finally evolved to the place where barbarism is no longer acceptable or necessary.

I really regret what it is going to take to bring the world back to a path of sanity, humility, and decency. But I'm afraid that those of us who are stronger, but less violent, are going to have to take some kind of measures to stop the killing and hatred and corruption. It really has gone too far. The people in the world who just want a peaceful life are really getting fed up with being pushed around, killed, or watching their loved ones killed....for what seems like SPORT, to some.

Knowing that the mafia in power is absolutely peeing down their leg to use nuclear weapons (probably against Iran, and N. Korea), is just so far beyond what I can tolerate.

On edit: Mother Nature seems to be trying to open some people's eyes these days. We are ALL humbled by her power.

18. This is the question I came here to ask ...
It's not just a global event. Even personal lives seem to be careening out of control.

After spending considerable time considering WTF is happening here, a new thought came into mind.

Either the planet is about to explode due to violence and craziness in every quarter OR it may be in a healing crisis. You know, when you start a detox or other healing modalities there is a period of stress. Out with the old, in with the new.

I feel hopeful that all this hate and anger will result in a healing process. Enough of the poison already.

Anyone else feel that?

with that thought. The rickety, termite structure that has been the government, not just here but in England, Italy etc., is being replaced. I think it will be a long, arduous and painful process, but I believe that when it is over, and the transformation is complete, we will have in place something closer to what we thought our government and country was.

14. "No Civil War starts at the shooting phase"
Good point. The Civil War of 1861-1865 was preceded by a lot of heat leading up to it, such as all the heated conflicts over whether new states would be free or slave. Even those conflicts were set up by earlier events--the three fifths compromise in creating the constitution, the institution of slavery itself, and other cultural differences.

I don't really anticipate another civil war (split up maybe, even likely longer term--all things must pass), but if there is, the current cultural war will be part of the run-up to it. I see the cultural war as really a continuation of McCarthyism, the civil rights struggle, and the conflict over Viet Nam. You can trace the same cast of characters on both sides right down through the years. And those conflicts were set up, at least to some extent, by the Jim Crow segregationists and pro-Nazi rabid anti-communists (including grandpa B***) before World War II.

he ended his VACATION two days early to MONITOR the federal aid for hurricane victims.

First, he has never monitored ANYTHING! Secondly, if he actually did monitor VICTIMS, could he start with his own?

His vacation is to end Wednesday, two days early, so he can monitor federal efforts to help victims of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast.

21. From your article: ....

The whole thing going on in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, with bush's ridiculous lack of leadership on this issue, is going to come back and bite him. Not in the press, of course. But on the level of human suffering and loss, and high gas prices (gouging by the oil companies). There has been such a humongous leadership void through all of this, and the costs are going to be beyond believable.

I think there will be a few insurance companies that either go broke or start gouging customers, all on their own. There is going to be major unrest .... ripples of it, throughout the economy, and people will start asking too many hard questions, and getting flimsy, unacceptable answers.

And this is only the START of a hurricane season that is predicted to be a bad one.

The September 24th protest in D.C. is going to get a lot of support, as this whole leadership incompetence about the hurricane starts to take hold. Impeachment is going to become a major theme among the people. People are going to get over the shock to a degree by then, and simply be very, very angry. The government will likely try to bring the hammer down hard, to suppress that anger, which will only create more anger.

Rumsfeld and Cheney have resented the influence of the war protesters in the 60's & 70's FOREVER, and have wanted to strike hard. It could get really nasty. In fact, I don't see how it can't. Too many people have lost EVERYTHING, due to the incompetence of the republican-lead government (all branches), and people who have nothing left to lose are a dangerous lot, historically.

Every day I am more outraged, and I know I'm in good company.

A bitter harvest, indeed.

and the Gulf Coast is transiting Pluto squaring the USA natal Neptune (22 Virgo 25).

neptune is the sea and water and storms and all of that.

it is also Oil. Witness the side effect of skyrocketing gas prices, and the news pasted below about the Massive Oil Spill that is just starting.

Pluto may also kill off some national illusions (Neptune) in the process.
