3. that really was an inspiration
Thanks for posting it IHAD. Before I watched it, I was thinking about something that I needed to get done but unsure of how to do it. I still don't know quite how I'm going to do it, but I do know it can be done.

11. beautiful . . . I lost my own "differently abled kid" this past year
My beautiful 19 year old son was killed in a car wreck this past year. He had an IQ of 65 and a condition that caused his hands to struggle to do the simplest things like butter a piece of bread, or slice an onion or even write. Yet one day, he decided he was going to learn guitar. He found a used one in a guitar store and we bought it for him, not really knowing what to expect. Within 2 months, he was playing like someone who had played for years. People were amazed at his ability, most not even knowing the limitations he had. Frankly, we have never figured out how he did it, we just kept encouraging him and he ignored his disabilities and excelled because he wanted to excel in this area. I learned that the human spirit is an amazing thing and we should never be defined by the labels that disabilities place upon a person.

12. Dolly, I'm so sorry that your beloved son is no longer with you physically.
His story is a testament to the human spirit. I'm so glad that he was able to find something that he was able to excel in doing. Kudos to him for realizing that he was a wonderful, unique being who could live a full life regardless of what greater society might think.

Much love and light to you, Dolly. I hope that you can still feel his presence when you need it.

13. I do still feel his presence . . .
We home schooled him (public school was such a disaster for him) so we were probably closer than most teens and parents due to the large amount of time we spent together. He still comes to me in dreams (I don't tell that to just anyone) and I feel his strength and love.

15. Hi, Dolly. I was so moved by the love of your
beautiful son and really stunned by his ability and death that I was too choked up to respond. I have an autistic sister and she is an inspiration to so many people who meet her and am so grateful her spirit came to our family.

I just wanted to tell you what magnificent parents you and your husband are, that You too are inspiring.

I wanted to share with you this young man's story and what he has to say about his parents. He's an all round musician and a deaf rapper. He says about it, "Rapping is just something I do, because you don't wanna hear me sing."

I'm working on this segment now. Unfortunately the audio isn't up yet on the site but will be within an hour.

 :)
