It's not painful at all unless your therapist is off target. It is the extreme in subtleness. Mild, tiny shifts of the bones in the skull and others make huge differences in terms of releasing "stuff" from within. It's exgtremely complex and there is surprising a whole lot to it
Make sure your practitioner has good testimonials - it's nothing to fool with.
Hope you get a great one!
Relax, enjoy it!

Places inside where you feel have stored up pain. Kind of like twisted into a tight area. That area is given the go-ahead to unwind, untwist, and release under properly guided cranial work. What I gathered from a real pro I worked with from FL...
we store this stuff way deep inside the muscles, tissues and the fabric around the muscles, I forget what it's called. It get rammed, stuffed, intensified, jammed into tiny corners as we tend to "store it away, or avoid our negative feelings."
Planets will mark the time for their release. It doesn't mean you will or won't succeed in releasing - it's up to you.
Backed up emotions, hatred, pains of all kinds, etc. are stored. Letting go releases this stuff gradually. Cranial work expedites it. I've worked with some very fine energy workers to who have told me about this subject. It is dangerous to release it too quickly. The body has it's own intelligence in terms of how much and when to release it. It's best described as a tightly wound spring that starts to unwind.
It's all good. :hi:
P.S. I am in close contact with this expert in FL if any of you want to talk to her about it. She has a ton of experience in this area. If so, Please PM me.

6. That's interesting -- good to know! |

Just the term "craniosacral therapy" makes me feel better. I would LOVE to have this done! Thanks for the insights, Rick.
A neurologist I work with, who specializes in headache, is starting to recommend this a lot.

Hi Kimmerspixelated
While I am not a massage therapist, I am an intuitive energy worker and use essential oils to help people and so work with allot of very gifted massage therapists. I have had CST done and it was a good experience. If you are considering it, I would strongly advise that you make sure you are working with someone who is well trained in the process (Upledger Institute is the most well known). If you pay attention to your body as the process is underway, you will be amazed at how well our bodies respond to this and work to realign.
I've never experienced pain with it nor have I ever encountered anyone who experienced pain. Its basically a trained professional who applies gentle and continued touch to specific points on head/neck and then waits for the body to synchronize the flow of the fluid in the spinal column. During the time that the fluid is synched, the body may begin to unwind and correct issues. I feel that it also takes me into a state where I have harmony in left brain and right brain. Very calming and profoundly relaxing!

That helped me visualize the process better, and it makes a lot of sense to me.

Can someone perform this on themselves, if trained?
