November 2010 Election -- Predictions |
|
Hi Everyone,
Thought this would be a good place to post our predictions for November. Given the atmosphere over on GD, I'd much rather post them here.
I'll start -- Despite what all the pundits and pollsters are saying, I'm getting a different message altogether. Not only will the Dems retain control of the House and Senate, they will also see a net gain of a few seats. There will be a few Dem losses, but nothing like what the msm is trying to tell us will happen.

2. Good idea, K--thanks for starting this thread |

Impression that just came in today, regarding the teabaggers--their success in the primaries is actually GOOD for dems. Let's face it--these folks are loonies (with apologies to the moon). So all the opportunities to speak in the coming days will provide a platform for them to share their ideas freely...and that means they're going to slip and show their ugly, racist, hating, intolerant, selfish side.
The more traditional repubs are distancing themselves from the weirdest ones already, and I get the feeling that this will happen more and more in the coming weeks. Even if the traditional repubs try to get them "in hand" and water down their message, they won't be able to stop themselves from spouting off.
Let us sit back and enjoy the show. And always remember to laugh and shout "Riddikulus!" to send these boggarts back into the wardrobe instead of taking them seriously and fearing them.

3. That most certainly is the goal. It is entirely possible if we work for it. |
|
And if we don't do the work, it will go to those who make the effort.

is that these teabaggers...ESPECIALY the ones that Sarah Palin backs...are in for a BIG SURPRISE!!! They feel that they were sent by God to "save America"!!! They are USING HIM as their platform. Well guess what...without their realizing it (they haven't a clue) HE is using them to defeat the enemy whether they be Republican or just from "the dark side". Now I know who is in control of our destiny, and it's not who they think it is. (their own ego's) Justice will prevail, but we must not take it for granted...we have to work for it.

But tonight, I got a very strong feeling that the power right wingers are losing control of their teabagger followers and those sheep don't realize how powerful this guys are that they're playing with. I could actually see the Right Wing flexing their muscles today to the teabaggers, letting them know who has the power here, but the teabaggers are so dense, they completely missed it. I hope nobody gets hurt, but if someone does, I wouldn't be surprised at all. The power right wingers aren't going to walk away quietly. And their real opinions of the Christian right is finally coming out too.
This will definitely be interesting. I do agree we have a lot of work to do, but I think it's best to distance ourselves from their activities, cause that's about to get REALLY UGLY.

6. Wish I could be more positive, but |
|
I did a repeat meditation tonight, and, just as I did about three weeks ago, I got that the Republicans may have control of the House in 2011. On the bright side, I got that Barbara Boxer just might pull out reelection.

11. What they could do, during that time so close and into 2012 |
|
is not worth considering, much less allowing.
The imperative is of course that if we want to create a happy next couple of years, we have to go out and work to create it. Obama is showing us that we MUST step up and say what we want, then go out and do it, together. This is the key to the future.
If the voters can't get out and make it happen, those of us with power must step in. It would be a good lesson to many, having republicans again in power especially at this time when the truth wins out; it would wean many from ever repeating that mistake...but...we get what we work for.

10. I believe we are all going to be surprised in November, not just the Republicans. |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-16-10 05:58 PM by Cleita
It seems like up is becoming down. Politicians on our side are being praised by those who criticized them in the past. Toxic Republicans like Karl Rove are dissing the Tea Party primary election winners. Obama is starting to use his intelligence in outmaneuvering the opposition instead of reaching out to them in compromise. I think he got the message at last. Nothing is predictable, but one possible future is the one where we get enough Senators to break the filibuster and keep our majority in the House. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and working for it to happen. If it does then it opens the way for Obama to be reelected in 2012 because then there will be real change and the end of our national nightmare.
The other possible future if the Republicans gain control of Congress is really terrible. It will lead to assassinations and possible guerilla style civil war. I don't even like to think about it when it enters my mind.

12. I wish to reinforce how very important is the process |

versus the outcome. It is very important for us as a group to have the same goals, and to get to work for them, each and every time we want them.
