Baby Boomers - interesting article
Saturn In Leo Ignites A Generation
1938-1957

by Judith Goldberg MFA

"These next two years mark the beginning of a sacred journey of transformation, for you and for the world.

"You are on the brink of discovering the work you were literally born to do. You are being primed to step into your true power. When destiny calls-will you be ready?"

Destiny Calls

Given a generational commonality, every natal chart differs. House placements and aspects color individual experience. If you are a member of this select generational group, learning about your own natal Pluto (with the guidance of your local astrologer) can help you address the specific issues with which you will be grappling not only during the Saturn transit, but for the rest of your life.

1. Interesting stuff:
I have a question. If babyboomers are the generation born from 1938-1957, what am I? Born in 1960, I've always felt more like a boomer than an X! Coincidentally, (or not), I can also be considered a cultural creative.

In real life, I've already begun a major life transition, starting at the beginning of '05. A restructured family, job change, 900 mile move, new family responsibilities....it's already been a wild ride!

2. I think you are in the tail end of
the boomers. This author was just discussing those with specific planets in leo in their birth charts. I am not an astrologer so I know very little. I do however love reading all about it.

4. Same here.
The serious study of astrology isn't on my list of things to accomplish; my plate is already full. I still like reading about it, though.

3. Me too in 1960, and hubby in 61...we are the last categorized in boomers..
however, do a google search on tweeners

I do not belong in my parents generation, nor do I belong in my son's generation. Some have named it tweeners.

5. Astrologically
the boomers are generally defined by having both Neptune in Libra and Pluto in Leo, but the '38-'57 range only refers to Pluto in Leo. Neptune was in Libra from late '42-late '56.

Neptune entered Scorpio in late '56 and Pluto entered Virgo in mid '57.

As for those born from '56-'63 we're usually considered a small transitional group or an "epi-generation". I always jokingly say we often have one foot on the banana peel. Those born from late '56- late '62 have Uranus in Leo which creates an ability to wear many masks. (eg Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson). Before * got into power some called this epi-generation, "generation W" since it preceeding generation X.. It also gives us an unusual ability to sometimes catalyze the boomers in quirky ways.

During the '60's a lot of counter culturists influenced by eastern religions often spoke of transcending the ego (mask) This had a lot to do with Pluto in Leo. Though I was young I always thought having Uranus in Leo, that an ego was necessary in a Western Civilization but what was more problematic was that ego was often mistaken for spirit which it's not. So it was more a case of misidentification or at least that's how I saw it at the time.

Wherever one has Pluto, or if they have 8th house planets, or planets in Scorpio these placements represent which arenas of life an individual will go through at least two major transformational experiences. Since the boomers have Pluto in Leo they collectively went from hippie-dom (overly identifying with the spiritual plane) to yuppie-dom (overly focused on the physical plane).

The Saturn transit through Leo coupled with Neptune still in Aquarius (opposing) could possibly trigger the next transformation wherein they could potentially achieve greater balance between the spiritual and physical planes.

Also it may correct the collective selfishness that seems to have grown increasingly pervasive in our culture.

One can hope anyway.
