"Yearning for a new way will not produce it."
I got the following from Neale Donald Walsch -- the author of "Conversations With God".

I believe God wants you to know...

...that yearning for a new way will not produce it. Only ending the old way can do that.

You cannot hold onto the old all the while declaring that you want something new. The old will defy the new; the old will deny the new; the old will decry the new.

There is only one way to bring in the new. You must make room for it.

This is so very hard for humans who want to cling to the old until the new comes around. We must develop faith and trust. How do we do that?

I'm much better about having faith and trust when something is forced on me. I figure that if the Universe took it away from me, it must be the right thing, and I know that I'll be taken care of in that situation. I have a problem when I have to make the decision to make a change. Will the Universe still support me in the same way? I see so many people who make what seems to be a courageous decision (such as giving up their current job to start their own business) and then they end up really regretting it and feel that it was a mistake. (That doesn't mean that it actually was a mistake, but it feels as though it was to them.)

What are your thoughts about this? I think that this is an important issue since the world is changing so quickly.

1. My thoughts...
I figure that if the Universe took it away from me, it must be the right thing, and I know that I'll be taken care of in that situation.

First, that's a great point. It is much easier to accept when we feel as though the decision has been made for us.

As for the other scenario, when people do take a leap and then regret it, I feel that's when the whole "make choices based on love, not fear" come into play.

I took a huge leap of faith ages ago, and it didn't work out as I so clearly envisioned. In fact, it no doubt is viewed as a huge failure by many, with serious consequences I continue to deal with today.

I see it differently, however. I took the leap based on love (knowing it was what I truly chose to do and was passionate about doing) rather than "I'm getting older, it's now or never" or "My company is downsizing and the economy is horrible so this is probably my only option right now."

To me, the latter two examples of viewpoints and reasons people choose to "leap" are fear-based, not based in love.

Because things didn't manifest as I expected (I no longer have attachments to outcomes but did then), I don't have any sense of regret or feeling of having failed. On the contrary, I learned what it feels like to live my passion.

Most importantly, I LEARNED. A lot.

About myself, about work, about the world that have brought me to where I am now, and that dream of long ago is far from dead. It's getting ready to be birthed again, I do believe. So, I remain open, and mindful of the choices I'm making, and pay attention to whether they're based in love or fear.

:loveya:

3. OGR, you've always been an inspiration to me.
I hope to someday have the courage to do something akin to what you do every day.

I think that the key is to remember that if you "fail", life doesn't end there. You can keep trying. First we have to learn how to be OK with "failing". We might have needed that very experience to succeed down the road. I think that's what you're saying as well.

Making sure that your inspiration is correct is also very interesting. Love is always the answer.

:)

2. Hmmm, very timely and interesting post
This is similar to Eastern thought, the only constant is change. By clinging to something and not being empty you can't allow something new to come about. I am currently struggling very hard with this concept, to just let things go, and let things be...have faith, trust. I am sick of looking back and reliving my life in my head, the only way to have this new life that I want is to be forward looking, but sometimes that is very frightening, I have obstacles (or maybe I only think they are obstacles? Are they illusory?)

I consider myself spiritual, but not religious, am open to many different ways of viewing things. I believe the Universe will support my desire to move forward in my new career, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have (made it through 6 months of grueling certificate program for massage therapy - sciences: anatomy, physiology, graduated with a 4.0) Now studying for national board exam. It has to work. Too much of my life I have learned the hard way that I should have done things differently, or not done them at all. I am sick to death of second guessing myself. I threw this out to the World in March 2010 and got the green light, it just fits better with who I am as a person and what I want to do with my life @ age 50.

Life is very short, and I now feel the need to give back like never before.

5. thank you so much!
it's very rewarding, I plan to try several different settings to see which one I feel most comfortable with - I'd like to do hospice work, but am struggling with how I would react to situations. I may volunteer for it regardless, it's something I want to do. However, I do need an income, I have some ideas for that. I am just asking the Universe for some direction. :)

6. Some here will probably disagree with what I have to say
I'm sure that Walsch believes this and that he is trying to help others.

We all strive to do what we came here to do, to complete our life plan. For lightworkers, this is the only thing that will fulfill us. But we've been blocked. By whom? Why the Illuminati, of course, They have done everything in their power to keep lightworkers from completing our life plans. That's because when we do, it means the Illuminati will have fallen. That INCLUDES planting false information in things like channeling and even conversations with God. Most of this disinformation is designed to tell us "you're doing it wrong; this is why you can't get what you want". As I've said here before that's why most of us have experienced financial, health and relationship problems here on earth because the Illuminati are the masters of earth energy and they held the power. We had no choice as we had to survive. At least until recently.

This has gone on far too long because when we planned this sojourn to bring light to Planet Earth so long ago, we did not realize the Illuminati would fight back as long and as hard as they have. This Ascension was supposed to start happening around the year 2000 and be complete by 2012. You should all be well along on your life plans by now. Instead at the height of Illuminati power we got 9-11 and two horrendous wars. The shift did not actually occur until around the end of 2008. You are seeing a lot of the Illuminati and their supporters leaving the earth since then because they cannot stand the light that is pouring in. And you are seeing the rest of them going absolutely berserk with wild antics and harmful actions (tea party, etc.). Because of this we have had to continue with the mundane, corporate Illuminati jobs or other earthbound activities that put food on our table.

So, you see, dear ones, it's not your fault. You have done nothing wrong. You have been the targets of the Elites all along and they would not allow you to have any success as long as they could. The energy is changing, but you must recognize that you are perfect in your pursuits and don't need to change a thing. You could not "get rid of the something old" as long as the Elites controlled the energy and wanted to keep you in "the old".

Take heart, our day is coming and it's very soon.

Love and light your fellow Ascension warrior,

Bluestar

9. Thank you.........
I needed to hear that today.
I have been putting out/giving, 200% for so many years......and THEY keep moving the goal posts!
Today I am on sit down strike! I have no desire to expend any more energy.......reaching for my goals.....indeed DO I HAVE GOALS? WHAT ARE THEY?
I have been rerunning the 6th house lessons for 37 years now; until 1989 ( republican depression,) the public was my partner, that ended. The changed socio-economic picture, prompted me to heroically return to college, gain computer skills, although being over 50 ,it didn't raise my chances at employment, because "everybody knows (thanks MSM) kids are better at computer & we old guys just don't get it.....right?) incur student loan debt, which has increased through interest, and puts me in jeopardy of having my SS income garnished. Can you imagine that!
I have been going it alone since then, against increasingly difficult odds.................

NOW until I get a partner, one on one, to help with the work load.......................& learn the lessons of the 7th house; I am sitting down. Former attempts at partnership, have brought only competition & sabotage, rather than mutual support of each others goals..........Increase in professional status has brought the loss of love................rather than the reward of work well done!
SITTING!

10. I appreciate this as well...

:)

I am very, very simple in my approach to life. I went through times when I explored various spiritual paths, but after a few "aha" moments of simple truths that would resonate, I always lost interest. Something always rang untrue in the teachings.

For me.

That includes more New Age philosophies in which someone proclaims the truth for others. It's so easy for people who follow religious and/or spiritual paths to feel they've failed or that they're doing something "wrong" when life doesn't proceed as they intended and prayed for.

That's the part that bothers me the most...the guilt people feel when they feel they've done something "wrong."

Most of us are doing the best we can, and striving to do better. There isn't a reliable "Earth for Humans 101" book that we can use as a bible showing us exactly HOW TO DO THIS and HOW IT ALL WORKS.

Many keep looking for it though, and end up feeling bad that they've failed in some way.

:grouphug: to all who need it. Thank you for sharing, BlueIris.

8. True words, but it's almost never easy.
I have been paying attention to a number of synchronicities lately. Certain situations lately have rendered me to feel quite lonely, and really it has been a pattern of solitude in one form or another, and the words came to me in a coupla different places that said, "When you are alone you get power" or, "you are meant to be alone to gain more power." I had been wondering for years why this was happening to me, that circumstances led me there. I had to look at it in a NEW way. So now, I can profit from that feeling. Still, it's really tough.
