You know how I was asking about words for your spiritual path?

Thanks again for everyone chiming in. :)

This is a similar concept, but a more secular version. They're words embodying the world most of us choose to create and inhabit, in contrast to the worldview of many teabagger types, for example, who diss words like "empathy," "community," and "The Common Good."

What do you think of this design?

1. OOH! I love that!
LOVE IT. When it's done, can I put it on the sidebar on my site?

4. I'll create a banner for it, to be used on sites...

I just posted an "update" below.

Thanks, Dear!

2. I think that it's PERFECT!

Oh, I just noticed that 'no labels' has two different colors. Did you mean for it to be that way? If so, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure you knew. :)

5. Yes, ma'am...I did intend that :)

Visually it looked "off" to me when it was one color or another, but felt better and had more "pop" being two colors.

I just posted an update below, with something else added to the design. :)

3. Update:
I asked my daughter's theatre teacher for her opinion. She's young, in her 20's, and clueless about Wishadoo and this whole "I Choose..." Campaign. So, her reply was very helpful.

She didn't understand the focus, which prompted me to include the following line under "I Choose."

This would be the full t-shirt design, left panel is front, right is the back of the t-shirt.

I would tweak the design for different uses: digital graphics for websites, a design for mugs, mousepads, etc. (one-sided designs). And put the copyright line more in alignment around the perimeter of the design.

Is this something you can envision purchasing for yourself or others? Would you prefer the t-shirt have nothing on the back? I want to promote Wishadoo, after all, but I don't know if that's a deterrent.

I'm also trying to find an eco-friendly alternative to the popular silicon bands kids/teens love, to imprint phrases from this "I Choose..." Campaign.

This would be a way to generate revenue for Wishadoo, as I now have legal obligations to fulfill and need to generate funds on my own to continue paying the expenses of the site.

Once the legal obligations are fulfilled, then I can create and offer merchandise to benefit others.

I'll start by creating an "I Choose..." petition, post it here at DU and give the background of it (Glenn Beck dissing Wishadoo, as well as it simply being a response and declaration to all of the nastiness in the world), and then contact media peeps (Ed Schultz, KO, Rachel Maddow, Hartmann, for example), as they might pick up on this positive contrast to the ugliness they're covering all the time.

It gives people a choice...a simple way to declare the world they choose to create. :)

As always, thanks for your thoughts.

9. I'm having a conversation with myself right here in this thread....

I hate when I do this but I can't seem to stop myself sometimes. This is one of those threads where I need to think out loud.

I think I'll change the back graphic to incorporate words I very recently am using at Wishadoo, now that things are taking a slightly different path -- more expansive than the "craigslist of compassion" only as before.

I think I'll insert "If it's wishable, it's doable. It's Wishadoo!" -- but maybe figure out a way to insert "choose" in there...tying it all together.

Wishing, choosing, doing.

I need to incorporate the wishing, doing and choosing into a nice, neat tagline for this whole campaign, to include the word Wishadoo.

Hmmm........

6. I like it!
But you know, I like the other one better, with the words grouped around "I Choose". But I like the heart on this one. Seems like on this one the "I Choose" is far away from the words, but the updated design, with "to create a world filled with" it brings it closer.

Ahhh what do I know. Pay no attention to me--I'm lousy with design. Remember that Chinese guy in Blade Runner who said "I only do eyes!"? Well, for me, "I only do words!"

7. lol....

The "I Choose" was always separate from the word cloud design.

I don't blame you for being confused though; I end up sharing so many things that I confuse the heck out of everyone! LOL

But, I really value everyone's feedback, so it's a work in progress.

EDIT: And it's not done...someone just made a great suggestion, about doing something artistic with the words "I Choose" and making it a logo in and of itself, so that more could be done with it. For example, using the I Choose logo, people could insert their own words of what they choose to create and express.

Hmmmm...........

8. Well that just goes to show
what happens when I try to communicate before I've had any coffee!

WHY did I think it was in the middle before? D'oh! Okay, please ignore the crazy lady...pouring coffee now...I'll be all right in a few minutes...

13. I like both designs
your original one and the drama teacher tweaked.

I thought your original was clear without the tweaking but both are great.
