They talked about a UFO sighting in NYC on GMA this morning

Did you guys hear about this?

The weather guy on GMA (Good Morning America) said it wasn't a weather balloon; that much has been confirmed. And George Stephanopoulos said it was interesting because a former NASA person recently put out a book saying that on October 13th there would be activity that no one could dispute (I think, in quoting from the book, he also said "they" would be passing through, making their presence known, but not staying.)

The conversations are becoming more common...and thus making the subject matter more acceptable, IMHO. And it's not being discussed as though people are "crazy."

1. WOW!
I heard too that October 13th or 14th was another one of the days predicted for UFO's to show up somewhere to let us know once and for all we aren't alone. It cracks me up that the first thing the police say is "It's a weather balloon". I'd like to know the name of the guy who wrote the book. Wish I would've been watching GMA instead of The Today Show this morning! It will be interesting to see what comes of this!

2. I just found this info:
A newly-published book by a retired NORAD officer predicts October 13, 2010 as the tentative date for a fleet of extraterrestrial vehicles to hover for hours over the earth’s principal cities. Author says the event to be the first in a series intended to avert a planetary catastrophe resulting from increasing levels of carbon-dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere dangerously approaching a “critical mass.”

Winnipeg, MB (PRWEB) September 13, 2010 — A newly-published 352-page book by a retired Air Force officer, Stanley A. Fulham, tentatively predicts October 13, 2010 as the date for a massive UFO display over the world’s principal cities. According to the author, the aliens will neither land nor communicate on that date; they are aware from eons of experience with other planets in similar conditions their sudden intervention would cause fear and panic.

The book, Challenges of Change (3rd ed.), reports this event will be the initial interaction in a process leading to mankind’s acceptance of the alien reality and technologies for the removal of poisonous gases from the earth’s atmosphere in 2015, if not sooner.

The author draws upon his military experience with the UFO phenomenon dating back to WW2, and later, with NORAD and his subsequent life-long association with a senior NORAD intelligence officer who provided him a wealth of historical data relating to NORAD’s experience with the UFO/alien reality which has never been revealed to the public. In the military’s view, as conveyed to and understood by Fulham, the public is not yet ready to accept an alien reality.

Stephanopoulos didn't say the name, but I have a feeling this is the author and book to which he referred.

Interesting. I didn't find anything about GMA having interviewed this author.

:hi:

3. OMG
It's October 14! It's my hubby's birthday and I FORGOT!

I really hope something comes of this slight change in UFO discussion in the media (reduction of the "giggle factor"). I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for the truth to come out. Don't know why, I'm not an experiencer, just always extremely interested.

5. Maybe I didn't watch the video long enough...
but they sort of look like balloons. But what do I know? I once saw a silver, cylindrical object fall from the sky when I was 9 - that's the extent of my UFO expertise, though I was an Admin Asst at an org that studied them. That was the best job I ever had.

6. I watch "The View" every morning and,
in the opening clips they showed a short clip of the sighting and the object. They said that Whoopie had witnessed it, but then nothing more was said about it during the show. Maybe because of the O Reilly fiasco they didn't have the time, or I missed it during a "pit stop"! I'm in the midst of a raging UTI...again...and had my Flu shot the same day my Dr. diagnosed it. It's been a miserable couple of days for me, so I've been laying low, letting the Cipro do it's thing. Did anyone else catch the whole show today? (The View) I'm on late tonight...just before bed, and this is the first mention of the sighting I've seen yet! I hope they continue to make themselves known, and I would especially love to see one here in my area of the North west hills of Ct.!!

8. I usually watch the first 10 minutes of "The View," too
I saw the opening in which it was mentioned that Whoopi was going to talk about it, but I didn't see anything else mentioned. I turned it off after the O'Reilly fiasco as well, but I doubt anything was said after that.

Interesting....

Hope you feel better, JA.

7. There's disclosure in the works
Before the end of the year. We'll see. But there's supposed to be an agreement with Star Nations that if the agreement is not upheld, there will be displays that no one will be able to dispute.

12. Ya know....
the way I've been feeling lately...I wish one would hover directly above my house...send down it's beam... and "beam" me up to the Mothership!! Where I will get my new body and go home with them! I'M SERIOUS!! I LONG for this to happen .....especially to me!!! Hell, maybe I'm one of them and don't know it! I was an only child (whatever sense that makes) There are times that I feel that I don't belong here...that this is not my home.

9. I just saw on the early, early morning news...

That "it turns out the objects were helium balloons released by an elementary school celebration."

What I find interesting is that 1) it wasn't treated as silliness...evidently there were an overwhelming number of calls, tweets and the like about it by New Yorkers and 2) Really? Of all the people who saw these objects, including no doubt many skeptics, it seems someone would have been able to clearly identify them as balloons in some way. If the elementary school principal could see them and identify them as "her balloons," I can't believe others couldn't tell that's what they were.

There is more open discussion about the possibilities though, which is most interesting. :)

they said the timing did not work with that......

balloons were released AFTER a lot of the sightings.

11. Phoenix Lights
I heard a UFO Researcher in an interview say that the flares people saw during the Phoenix Lights incident were released after the earlier fly over by the huge object.

13. that was a pitiful explanation
I heard enough people to figure that one out. Not sure what it was, but it wasn't flares.

14. I have to say, I really don't believe they were balloons....
I just watched the video on aol with the teacher saying she "accidentally" let the balloons go. The whole thing just seemed staged or rehearsed. It just doesn't feel right to me. And I sure didn't get balloons from the energy of the photographs or the many videos that were taken of the event. Plus, what about the guy who wrote the book and said that the group he's been communicating with said they would show up on Oct. 13th? Is that another coincidence? I don't know. Something doesn't add up. What do you guys think?

15. Nope
But the military made it pretty clear that's what they wanted people to think. Which makes it even more interesting.

18. I think the aliens must be sitting around scratching their heads
saying, "We're trying to be subtle so as not to scare them all to death, but just what WILL it take for these beings to take us seriously?!?"

in regards to the "weather balloons" explanation...looks like there very well be more to their explanation. Very interesting.

23. But the NYC UFOs were sighted early afternoon and the FAA
Edited on Wed Oct-20-10 07:54 AM by rosesaylavee
flights were delayed at 6:45 pm. Looks like wishful thinking on whoever wrote that article. I am keen on NYC as I have family there... who weren't looking up at that time unfortunately.

on edit... read the rest of the article where it stated sightings had been ongoing since earlier that am prior to the teacher party in Westchester. So I am back to hmmmmm. Wonder what that all was then?

21. The two El Paso video clips look different
In the original one from El Paso, the lights are tight balls, but in the air show video clip of the parachuters with flares, the lights have tails (of the flares). Call me a stubborn :tinfoilhat:, but I'm not buying it.

22. I think there was a unidentified craft in the eastern sky near my
house the other night. I was sitting on my front porch and saw flashes of green light, when, all of a sudden, a small jet came out of nowhere and started chasing it, right over my house. At least I think that's what happened, because it all happened so quickly that it took me some time to process it.

I live about 1-1/2 hours north of the Atlanta airport. There is a lot of north/south air traffic visible from my house, and lots of military transport traffic (often just barely clearing the treetops on the hill above my house.) I have often seen lights in the eastern sky that weren't like other aircraft. Sometimes I mistook them for stars, until they started to move. I have other family members who have also seen things they couldn't explain. One of my cousins and her son were followed home one night by a triangle-shaped flying object. Many years ago, this same cousin's father saw a huge "wheel" rolling across the road and into the woods. I only heard these stories recently.

I continue to keep my eyes on the eastern sky and hope that one day we will be able to welcome our off-planet family.
