He is totally nuts.

OGR, I'm sorry you made it on his radar. I just hope it turns into a fundraising point for you.

3. My entire biological family....

No kidding. That's who listens to him.

I'm sorry...I've had a rough day, with more battles (well, ongoing battles).

A certain ex-partner CLOSED the official company PayPal account. PayPal should not have allowed it, but it happened (I was in the midst of removing the name from account which is not an easy thing...had to submit legal papers and it was all pending). Not a huge deal, but it was EXTREMELY inappropriate and is causing me even more grief than I already had, and is one more reason why, if I had $$ I would sue for breach of contract. There is sabotaging behavior left and right.

The lack of $$ is preventing me from moving forward with things TO generate $$, vehicle keeps breaking down, blah, blah -- we all know what that's like though. :(

Then the family battle....ughhhhh.......I just want it done and over with already.

Just a bad day on my end, that's all.

Then to SEE him....it just threw me over the edge and I really feel physically ill. It's not rational, but it's the truth. :puke:

2. The Universe uses him in ways that he would hate, OGR.
I found DU through him, and Wishadoo is getting national attention because of him.

The Universe has it all under control. It's like that picture of President Obama that I've seen some people here have in their siglines with the caption "Chill out; I've got this covered." or something like that. :)

I agree with the other posters on this thread, though--this is still good for you, even if it feels really, really nasty. x( "God works in mysterious ways" indeed...

Now you can make buttons, mugs, bumper-stickers, t-shirts, et cetera, all with the Wishadoo logo and a little circular icon stating emphatically "As Seen on Beck-TV!!11!" Include the elevens, too

Although I would love to see a Wishadoo Cafepress/Zazzle section. I'd buy a few things, like one of those electrostatic stickers for my rear car window :D

and it appears that pretty much everything he was against (or had on a magnet) were groups and causes right here at DU. Hmm, I wonder if that means he reads DU too? What can we do to mess with his head even more? :D

OGR, you should write to his show and ask for that magnet. I mean, think of how much money you could get for it on eBay, an item touched, handled and used by his holey-headedness! :P

Oh, I was meaning to ask, too: did you notice any spike in site access after that show aired? You might look at your site-stats for that date and the day after to see if it went up.

17. Thanks you guys....

:grouphug:

Whew...yesterday was really, really rough. Seeing him really got to me for some reason; it kind of threw me over the edge. Reading it in the transcript was one thing; seeing him saying it was quite another. :puke:

Of course, he represents a worldview which, as I've said ad nauseum, I feel I'm literally battling lately, so I reacted very strongly. :(

I know it's an opportunity, which is part of my frustration. Not being able to act on it NOW. But, I know there's a reason. All in Good Time. I just have to keep reminding myself of that and not think ahead, and stay in the Now.

I'll absolutely be doing merchandise (and what a great idea, kentauros!!!).

I'm gathering the contact info for all other endorsers to see if they want to be part of the "I Choose" Campaign. Maybe media will have an interest; let's see what happens at the dueling rallies in DC this weekend, maybe there will be an opening somewhere that miraculously appears.

I was hoping to do all this before the elections but it just isn't working out that way. So be it. :) Maybe this message will be needed, and seen/heard, even more after the elections. I must trust there is a reason for all the challenges and hurdles delaying things.

On a related note to the above, I have a question for you guys:

Can you list companies you can imagine being part of a directory of listing companies who would be proud to either be aligned with the "I Choose..." Campaign and/or a directory listing (like the Yellow Pages) of companies who are truly part of the community and have integrity?

They can be national, regional or local companies. There are listings for companies which are "green" and ethical as far as no animal testing, not using child labor, etc., but I want to start compiling a directory of existing companies which would be in alignment with Wishadoo's vision, which is more about compassion and community, in addition to the other ethical aspects.

Maybe I can get a handful of companies who resonate with the vision to sponsor the "I Choose" Campaign to help with expenses?

I'm honestly drawing a blank at the moment...The Beckster turned my brain to mush for the time being.

Thanks again. Much Love.

:grouphug:

19. One such company is The Body Shop....

I've admired this company since the 80's. I was blessed to be have been in touch with the founder in the mid to late 90's, the late Anita Roddick, who acted as a mentor of sorts and encouraged me never to give up.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_body_shop

As it turns out, one of their key US facilities is about 30 minutes away from me. :)

Credo Mobile is uber progressive, yet do they fit the bill regarding community and compassion? I don't know...these are the questions I'm asking, and wondering which companies come to mind for you guys.

22. In case you're not aware, in reference to Credo....
they donate a certain percentage of their profits each year to various progressive charities. Their customers vote for which charities they want the money to be given. (There's a list that is compiled from customer input, if I remember correctly.)

If I were you, I'd contact them to see what you have to do to get on the list of charities. (I don't know if Wishadoo would be considered a charity in their eyes.) I think that the voting is at the end of the year, so it's possible that it's too late this year. Hopefully not. If not, you could ask people here at DU who are Credo customers to try to help you get on the list and then to vote for you. (We use Credo for both our long distance and mobile phone service. We used to use them for our credit card also but had end that due to the bank that was involved.)

:hi:

I'm familiar with how active they are in progressive causes but wasn't sure how that fit with the kind of list I'm trying to create. They are all for battling with the right-wing -- which is awesome -- but I guess I'm looking for more loving, less combative, less divisive companies.

Funny, your post leads in to my other question this morning: about being a non-profit.

It makes me feel like good still has some fight left.

I can't listen to the clip, Glenn Beck is evil, I can't go there or I get some wretched anger going myself. He is a being completely taken over by evil, I really feel like if such a thing as "selling one's soul to the devil for power and riches" exists he and Limbaugh are the greatest examples alive today. Watch this piece from his interview with Chris Wallace just after Megalomania hit Beck in DC with all of his Hatriots. The question catches him off guard around 00:58 seconds into the piece.

Stunned.

The scolded child recoils from being so hurt. He'll show them later with his slow perverted logic and illogical blackboard.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2LIC305GQ4

In the longer 12-minute piece, YouTube cuts exactly before his reaction. Even so, the 1 minute piece shows it clearly.

He's not against the "left"; he's still screaming from his play pen at mommy. Look the look on his face.

Carry on with your noble work OGR! We're all behind you. The bastard

If they would JUST ADMIT that what they mean when they say they "want their country back" is that they want it to be a white, Christian, patriarchal nation.

There is some chuckle-worthy aspects in Beck being Mormon and most of his listeners being conservative Christians who wouldn't take kindly to the Mormon ideology.

Oy...the tangled webs we weave.....

I've been in another FB battle (this one caught me by surprise, as I simply posted "Silence is Consent" speak up against hatred and intolerance), and it has morphed into me being a hypocrite because I believe -- and express -- that the Fox/Limbaugh/Palin crowd is harmful and stoking hatred and fear.

The person in question seems to truly, truly believe it when he says he hears no negativity ever coming from Fox, Limbaugh or the Tea Party.

:wow:

I guess when that's all you listen to and absorb, you would think that.

Anyway, my dislike of them makes me a hypocrite because I'm espousing being against hatred and intolerance.

I freely admitted that I'm intolerant of intolerance.

37. The thing is...
I know for a fact that some of the people reading and commenting are bigots in every sense of the word, to the point that they wouldn't let their children watch any shows with "black people in them."

It really is stunning to me that there are such vastly different worldviews and I'm serious when I say it feels like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

We're splitting off into complete separate realities, and when they overlap, it's bizarre to the extreme...even dangerous.

There is no common ground that I can see, not when they're not being honest, with themselves.

I ended with:

If you are a Rush Limbaugh fan and a Glenn Beck fan and don't see the negativity and divisiveness in their message, our worldviews are so far apart even Sarah Palin couldn't see them from her house. (couldn't resist that last tidbit...lol)

38. They want to be completely in control because they've felt out-of-control
due to external circumstances and the harmful actions of others. Little else matters. It also unfortunately makes them easy to manipulate, by power brokers such as Rove, the corporations, etc.

I can fully understand this position, having been rather unhappily damaged throughout the years by people and social mechanisms all seeking their own best interests at the expense of the other. I can also see the way out of it owing to having had it bad enough that I -have- to acknowledge it and work upon it and knowing that I was and am defeated by it, and as such, having to ask for help in order to release it. In the last two days, a very large amount of it has been removed from me as I view it and determine to take a higher path.

It all comes down to security and self-esteem. To not wanting to lose what you have and to not be prevented from getting what you want. Worry (or previous experience) of losing security and self-esteem grows into fear which grows into justifiable anger at having been breached. A teacher of mine calls anger "frustrated motivation". I can understand the fear and anger, to a vast degree. I hope that they can accept that others understand, or are capable of understanding, such pain and continuous discomfort, and a wild energy to make sure that what they fear never again occurs. I hope that they can accept that resting a moment and inhaling is also good for them; that taking care of themselves, of working to build what makes them happy is also perfectly possible, to spend time with family and friends, to enjoy hobbies and music, nature, photography, whatever makes one happy, should be what one surrounds one's self with, because that's what makes them happy. As such, one builds up happiness, and isn't that something worthwhile?

The thing about spiritual growth is that when you are experiencing something unpleasant, the way out of it is often to do the opposite. Do good works for the poor and weak and sick. There is a true return upon such positive action, and most especially if you do it -when you are yourself suffering-. Decide to do something positive when you are suffering, and you will lessen your suffering, as well as making someone else happy. That builds self-esteem. Esteemable acts build self-esteem, and everyone gains.

And as someone who truly knows, I can tell you that when control is completely taken from you, when you feel entirely out-of-control, acknowledging it and that it feels horrible is the way to start turning it into something less than overwhelming. I've fought it and raged against it and beaten at it, and have only begun feeling relief in having told myself what happened and how it made me feel. Pull the bandage and let it sting for a moment, then enjoy the fact that you've begun to take control of the feeling of the uncontrolled. Anger and rebellion are the obvious responses, but acknowledgement is the key to you finally determining what is going to happen about it.

A class action with all of these other groups. Obviously he just pulled organization names off of DU and he undoubtedly LIED about all of you, although I cannot stand to watch the entire show to see what he's really talking about.

Get a lawyer to file a lawsuit then press release it to death! More press/web hits for you and points out what a liar he is and how lame his staff's research is. Keep it alive and call him on his bulls**t.

Good luck to you, OGR.

Or report this to Media Matters--more free publicity in the liberal community and they will call him out.

who were endorsers of the One Nation Working Together Rally on 10/2/10 in DC.

Wishadoo was one.

There were over 400, so he couldn't do magnets on all of them but he selected certain ones to talk about.

He mentioned Wishadoo twice, interestingly.

I am trying to reach the other organizations mentioned, to do a group response.
