Is it worthwhile to wait for '08 elections...will it be enough....? |
|
to stop or turn back the destruction * has created in six years? I've seen more posts from DU'er about leaving the states. I must be honest in that I've had these feelings too. But I also see some resurgence from the Dems, more so than in the past and that makes me hopeful that maybe all is not lost. That coupled with the posts of so many in this area with links from other sites, with readings and predictions of hope.
Anyway, I'm probably babbling now, as I haven't been feeling centered or myself of late. But if you can figure this out (lol) I'd love to see your thoughts on this.
Thanks! :hi:

I have two kids to worry about how they're gonna grow up. If I wanted to live in Nazi Germany, I'd have been born back in 1945. If the Dem party won't fight along with you for the common good of all people,... Well, either they're all bought off or just don't care anymore. I'm starting to really suspect the first option. Since it looks like no matter what the Dems do, Alito is on. I don't expect there to be any more elections after 2008. The rigging is probably already in for the 06 elections. Fat Karl probably greasing palms for 2008 as well. I'll see how things go over the next few days. If the Dems don't come thru and fight with all their hearts, I will vote as long as they'll take my ballot, but I'll be voting Green a majority of the time. I have NEVER voted Green or Independant in my life because I felt it was throwing my vote away. Even if a repub does good - Like I think Mike Castle has done well for Delaware in the past - I won't vote for him because he's repub. I will also work to get other people to vote against him. I will CERTAINLY vote against Biden and Carper - not repub, but Green or Indy.

:( Instead of voting for green (indie I think is okay since they can make it to the Senate and House) why not find another democrat who is running against them?

The Green guy who is running against him is Nick Berg's dad (the Nick Berg who was beheaded in Iraq). As far as I know, there is no indy putting forth their intentions either yet. Maybe Mike Berg running will get some other people to throw their hats in the ring. Mostly in Delaware, incumbents are unbeatable, and I think that waters down the offerings.

4. Don't go. We need you. |

My advice? Don't listen to the defeatists. I mean, I feel their fear and their lack of faith, but--I still have my feeling that all of this will work out relatively well. Don't you want to be here to see that through?
