Another one...
music dream. Had the most joyous music dream last night...if anyone has any theories on the symbolic meaning of music dreams, let me know. I'm not complaining, they are cool to have--just trying to get a handle on why I'm having them.

Thanks!

1. I have no theories to offer
and I can't promise that I will, but could you elaborate on this dream?

I'm curious.

Are you a musician in AwakeWorld? In the dream were you playing, or listening to the music? What did it sound like? Were YOU the music?

2. That's ok--
I understand. I'm actually not a musician. Merely a music lover. Maybe I've wished I could be one, as I don't think I've ever experienced anything quite as joyous as people enjoying music. When dh and I have experienced a good live band at a local venue, seeing all the people dancing, enjoying themselves--wow! Just pure happiness--the energy evoked from something like that is just so powerful and positive.

In the dream, I was with some young people of another culture. They wanted me to play for them, which I thought was odd in awake world (lol), as I don't play anything. But they were eager for me to play. I was known among them, again weird. It just made me happy.

I'm vague on this part, but I think when it was actually time for me to play (I don't know what), I woke up.

:hi:

6. participating
It could be that the young people (from another culture) asked you to participate in something that was pleasing to you, and made you feel included. Not to say that maybe you have an interest in music, or enjoy music. But it could also show the feeling of wanting to participate within a group, and feel included. In fact, that is one dream meaning for a musical group. It is interesting that the young people were from another culture. Maybe something will come up in the future that will verify this dream, as it seems predictive in some way.

4. don't know but I have 2 thoughts
I saw an interesting blurb about a new movie called "Touch the Sound" it's above a
deaf percussionist" and she talks about how music is in everything, it's sounded
really interesting. Also I dreamed after my father died that I was allowed to go
to the border area between our 2 worlds. Over there I sense that you can sense
God's love in the sunshine, it's not just the warmth you feel but his love as well.
Maybe that is also the way with music.

5. Here's something you might find of interest
http://www.geocities.com/hairybobby2000/dreambookmusic.html Here's an excerpt:

MUSIC : Sometimes the music in a dream may simply link to the song title or the lyrics in the song. Music can often link to a rapport with a person or group of people. They will link to how a person relates to the world and what makes them contented. It may link to a person that you have got a special connection with. But Music often symbolises harmony of some kind within a set of ideas. It may link to a story that needs to fit together and make sense.

QUESTIONS(to help you see how this symbol refers to your real life) :
-Were you thinking of a moment of real harmoney the day before the dream?
-Did any song lyrics or song titles directly link capture some emotions from the day before the dream?
-Have you been thinking of a relationship where you have a special closeness with someone?
-Do you think that the music could symbolise the emotions you felt the day before?
-Have you been trying to bring people together?
-Could a solo instrument symbolise someones wish to have some peace and quiet and be contentedly by themselves?
