1. Fabulous! Thank you!
I love his very shamanic understanding of this Oracle. You've opened a new door for me, OP!

5. I had not and I struggled with the "Confucianism" of so many Books
of Changes. The other interpretations strike me as based on class, and I tried to work my understanding around that, in order to get at the pearls within. Sometimes, I simply abandoned that oracle in favor of others. But Karcher lends a marvelous perspective that, I think, will make the Iching a favored tool. I love the idea that the hexagrams are a language Spirit/Change uses to speak to us, so that we can understand what it has to say. I also identified with the "stripping the corpse" language identifying the work currently at hand. I am so deeply engaged in that work myself. And, his description of our destiny/soul's purpose, and that our lives are a constant dialogue with that--absolutely beautiful.

In any case, I put my order in this afternoon for two of his books. And, I'll be reguarly tuning in to Casey's site. What a brilliant woman!

6. Wow. I am so happy for you. I find his interpretation amazing too.
I used the Wilhelm Baynes translation for decades but always ended up putting it away when it dead-ended in sexism and class issues. Karcher's translation is life changing. It restores ancient, innate knowing that we have all but lost completely.

4. My pleasure. I love both Karcher and Caroline Casey.
She is so incredibly smart and has the right idea about activism.

And she compared Karl Rove with Paul.
