It's been a long time since I've experienced anything. I forced myself to block everything out because I started feeling like I sounded crazy to people. And thought friends were just humoring me. I just got kind of paranoid, I guess. And besides that, I have no one to talk about it with. My SO has never had any spiritual experiences, so he doesn't understand; and doesn't believe in any of it. (Which isn't a problem with us, thank goodness.)
I don't believe in Gods, but believe in reincarnation, soul groups, spirits, and that this isn't the only "world" out there.
I feel funny even saying this, this is a struggle for me. To come to terms with the fact that I still believe in something but having blocked everything out- no longer experiencing anything.
Suffice it to say it feels good to read the threads in this forum. And I hope to maybe open up again... if I can. I hope this post made sense, lol. If you have any questions, please ask and I will expand on what I've written.

I love it already~ I've been lurking in this forum for a couple of weeks, reading over many threads, and trying to sort out if I feel I'm ready to try opening up again. You know the one thing I was never able to fully block out was empathy~ seems to kick me in the ass all the time, but I'm all the better for it. ;)

Reading your post reminds me so much of...me! LOL I come from family that considers doctor's appointments a sign of weakness and in which personal growth is measured by a paycheck. My brother once asked why I needed to be happy in my job - geez, he said, it's just a job. I've also been told over and over that I'm too sensitive and that I take things too seriously.

The point of all this being that here, however, I find community, sanity, understanding, and knowledge. And, some very nice people.

I hope this proves to be a welcoming oasis from the madness for you as it has for me.
