Eeeek! THIS is not what I want to see in my horoscope!
"...Be careful not to place yourself in situations where you could be subjected to force or violence. Avoid places with high crime rates, or take precautions if you must go into such areas. Sometimes you can inadvertently draw violence into your life without knowing why..."

"The interpretation above is for your transit selected for today:
Sun Opposition Pluto exact at 05:19 activity period from 21 February 2006 to 23 February 2006

This is from Astrodienst.

I'm planning to be on a picket line tomorrow night to protest my abuser ex-boss. Tell me THAT isn't creepy...

1. Eek! I will offer up prayers for your protection!
Post haste! Got any protection stones? You might want to carry one. If you don't mind my asking - why are you picketing him? I thought everything had worked out. I know it will be difficult under the circumstances, but try to keep positive - this is also an aspect marking confronting authority - exactly what you will be doing. Just be sure to keep it as peaceful as you can. I will be praying for you!

FWIW: I had a major transit that put this threat in my life for THREE MONTHS, but I survived unscathed, so this one aspect does not necessarily mean violence is a given. Forewarned is forearmed, as well.
I wish you the best of sucess - go get that creep!

3. It has ended up in a huge legal battle.
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 03:51 PM by davsand
Without getting too far into details, he was suspended and barred from coming back into the office. That was overturned with legal maneuvering and he has been in the office ever since. The harassment has continued and it has been VERY ugly.

I've been under a gag order the entire time because an investigation was ongoing. In the meantime, the abuser has been out in the press claiming that this is some kind of evil political plot to do him in. I can't begin to tell you how awful it has been to have to sit silent while he demeaned us for speaking out. Finally, the union stepped up and went public with information that they had from one of their members. I am not union, (unfortunately!) but in this case, the union has helped all of us.

The Board meets tomorrow night and they are the only ones that can remove him from the office. The picket line is planned for the hour before that meeting, and it is being organized by the labor union. It has been publicized and my expectation is that the media will be there. I can't imagine that it will get too far out of hand with the media there--but I guess you just can't predict that kind of stuff. Kevsand (my spousal unit and fellow DUer) will be there with me, as will the other women. I've made arrangements that Material Girl will stay with Grandma--no way will I put her in any kind of risky situation.

Frankly, my butt is so far out on a limb right now, that I expect that my career will suffer, in spite of the fact that I tried to do the right thing. This whole mess has left me feeling battered, and some days I am struggling to find hope--other days I am fine. I have honestly felt that this whole process has been every bit as bad as living thru the events that I endured originally. I've felt violated twice over...

It has all been worth it, however. I did what I felt was the right thing, and I stood up when it was not terribly convenient or even safe to do so. Yesterday, my 8 year old (Material Girl) told me she was proud of me--and THAT really hit me hard. SHE and all the other women out there that have to (or will have to) work for a living are the ones that I'm standing up for.

This too shall pass (kinda like a kidney stone!!)

6. I am most certainly not alone.
Kevsand and I both have been pretty active in the local labor movement along with progressive organizations and politics. We both put the word out with our various lists and I am amazed at what we are hearing back.

What started with the hope of 25-30 people is now looking like it might be about twice that size if everyone shows up. What makes this especially encouraging is most of these folks are veterans of marches, parades, picket lines and protests of all kinds. They are good people who care.

I can't begin to express how much it means to hear that SOMEBODY cares enough to send good wishes like you guys have, or cares enough to come out and walk a picket line.

It isn't going to be just the three women who filed charges out there alone holding signs in the cold.

4. I will also think positive thoughts.
Really positive.

Not to alarm you, but the last time I had Pluto in hard aspect to any luminaries in my chart, I experienced weirdness. And danger. Please be careful.

7. You are living that transit right now!
Your opposition to your abusive, criminal boss (Pluto) has caused you (Sun) to be gagged...you have been forced to by others(opposition) to fight for your own rights. I am writing this after the fact (March 2)- what happened?

Keep in mind that we all have this transit once a year.

9. We picketed and there was no major flair up.
I was picketing people I have worked to help in the past--so you have to know it felt pretty creepy. Many walked by the line and spoke to us, some of them scuttled by like it was just embarrassing to them.

It was televised in the media and we had other labor people who showed up in support. I was most certainly not alone out there. At one point I almost broke down and I was immediately surrounded by people with an arm around me or a hug. Since that night I have felt a lot better about what we've done because I have seen and talked to other women who work here and they not only support us, but understand that this was done as much for them as it was for us.

It felt good to be able to stand out in public and it felt good to be able to just do something other than wait silently. (I just don't DO "victim" very well!) It just freaks me out to be inactive and silent when there is something I feel strongly about. (Must be something about that birth chart with a Taurus sun sign and my Moon, Mercury, and Venus all sitting in Aries...)

The most recent word is that the issue was discussed in a private session and the actual vote (which may or may not come) will not be until March 23. What is supposed to be a human rights issue is now some kind of political football game with some of the local Democrats seemingly falling on the wrong side of the debate. Not only is this rocking my work world, but it is seriously messing with my political ideals...

I am hanging in there and working to do all I can to protect the rest of the women who must deal with that man.

I keep hoping that everyone will do the right thing. I want justice.

8. This is why I don't get horoscopes or readings about my future.
I don't want to know. It would inhibit my doing what I think needs to be done. For what it's worth, take it as a warning to be more careful than usual while you are there. Be attuned to your surroundings and what is going on around you. Make sure someone in your family or friends know when you are due back in case you don't return when you are supposed to.

Best of luck and I hope your protest gets results.
