Quick request for positive energy. |
|
My father is having a procedure done for his heart tomorrow and a close friend of the family has a had a third cancer recurrence. I'm confident that they will pull through, but if anyone here wanted to help that process along with a little bit of energy, that would be great.

2. I ask that the Universe give strength & peace to both your father... |

and your friend so that they can draw upon this reserve when they need it. I ask that they both be protected and be bathed in healing energy. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

Sending all the helpful energy I can!
They do some amazing stuff with hearts these days. Those Cardiac docs can really make a positive impact for their patients. We've seen it with my Dad more than once...
Brightest blessings to you and yours.

11. Thanks, everyone! My father's procedure went swimmingly, |
|

and he will not need any additional surgery, as we had feared. But please think about my friend. I have a decent feeling about her long-term prospects (I had a dream not too long ago, set years in the future, in which she was present in this reality) but it would be excellent if she didn't have any metastasis from this new recurrence. No metastasis would, of course, increase her chances of seeing another five years (in which another grandchild will be born, and two granddaughters married) dramatically.

12. Woah! Spoke too soon. While visiting my parents' house tonight, |
|
my dad had an episode of some variety which he decided necessitated a call to the paramedics. They PMs just left, actually. It was FREAKY, everyone. I was sitting around in the guest bedroom doing Tarot spreads (for guidance, natch) and the Tower kept coming up in positions three and six in my Celtic Crosses. I kept thinking, but Dad's screening came back normal, his health is stable, what is this for? Is this just about my own current transition to a new career/life path? Then, the incident (something to do with his blood pressure which in the end he and the paramedics agreed he could just deal with at a visit to his doc during follow up on Monday). It was wiggy. It didn't help that right after the nice firemen and EMTs had departed, I was out on the back patio, which is right across from the room in which my Dad had collapsed, and a large owl was sitting in one of the outside trees making owl noises. Yes, they live in the woods and there are owls all over the property, but still. As someone who's done a lot of reading on the traditions, mythologies and beliefs of West Coast indigenous people, I think of the owl primarily as a messenger; usually foretelling someone's death. My father did say tonight that despite the jokes he makes sometimes, he isn't ready to go. So--more light? Thanks.

13. Owl brings healing and transformation, in my tradition. |
|
You know that both healing and transformation require destruction, hence those towers. Healing requires that we destroy the sick energy that no longer serves us. Transformation requires a willingness to allow death of energies that prevent our change and growth. I'd interpret the evening to be telling you that you should prepare to move into your own transition, and to know that your father is being cared for.

14. Hey, thanks. Good news. |

I guess. Normally, I don't go in for a definition of mortal death that implies it is final, horrific, unnecessary or the most painful thing ever, but--even I have to say that if he died, that wouldn't be anything other than disastrous for my transition, or anyone else's (well, except his own, of course).
Thank you, though, Crowdance, for the perspective. I didn't mean for my other post to imply that each and every single Native American tribe believes the owl is a messenger of death; even I know there are other explanations for its abilities and purpose. :-)

She says they told her she is healing MUCH faster than she did after her previous two surgeries. Good work, psychics/healers of DU.
