A fun "job-getting" spell I wanted to post here.
I wanted to pass this along to the group because it really helped me. I think.

***

"A spell to find a job"

This is NOT a quickie.

Take one LARGE black candle, and write on it everything that
opposes you in getting the job you desire (this could be
fear, lack of experience, lack of contacts, whatever). Also
take one piece of parchment paper and write the same things
on it.

Dress the black candle with Begone or some other banishing
oil. Every night for nine nights, at 9 PM or midnight, burn
the black candle while visualizing the obstacles
disappearing. On the ninth night, burn the parchment also.
(Try to burn the candle so there is only about one hour or
less left to burn out on the last night.)

Then at 10 PM after the black candle has burned out, light a
green glass candle that has been dressed with money drawing
or success oil. (Prior to this you will have focused on
everything you want this new job to be - hours, days,
location, salary, benefits,, etc. - be very specific. Write
these things on a second piece of parchment.) The green
candle will be burned for four nights, visualizing
everything you wrote. On the fourth night also burn the
second piece of parchment.

On the fifth night burn a "thank you" candle - yellow,
white, or orange, or the color that is significant to your
favorite goddess.

Notes:

If you cannot do the spell at night, it can be done at 9 AM
or noon.

Instead of one large candle you could also use nine
individual black candles, and write something different on
each one.

The best timing would be to begin on the waning moon, and
finish on the waxing moon, but the spell can be used any
time.

The spell begins as soon as you conceive of it. If you get
what you want before the ritual is over, complete the entire
ritual anyway, including thanking the gods.

You want part one (the banishment) to end on the Dark Moon
(the night BEFORE the New Moon), and you want part two
(getting the job) to start on the New Moon. The Dark Moon
is used for banishment and getting rid of. The New Moon is
for new beginnings. Hence the timing noted.

On disposing of the ashes, this is what I suggest for part
one. When I write and do a banishing ritual, I scatter the
ashes to the winds. This is symbolic of the (obstacle,
whatever) being scattered, and therefore removed. So, once
the parchment has burned completely and the ashes are cool,
take them outside and toss them into the air, letting the
winds scatter them. The next best thing is to dump them
into running water (no, not down the sink or toilet, but in
a creek or river). This would "wash" them away.

For part two of the spell, I'm going on instinct. Something
is telling me that the ashes and candle stub should be put
in a box and left in a safe place. As long as they remain
undisturbed, the job is secure. I'm not going to claim that
this is correct, so anyone who does this spell should take
care of the ashes according to their preference, teachings,
and/or instinct.

1. How did this help you?
I'm tempted to try this, as I'm trying for a change in my work life.

Where does one find money-drawing or success oil?

2. Oh, right. Sorry. My brain was in a million places last night. Ahem:

I did this spell, and asked that some really gigantic obstacles be moved from my path (lack of reliable transportation, for one) then went hogwild and asked for insane sources of support (like money...lots of money). I also was really, really specific about what kinds of jobs I wanted to come my way, which I was worried had "jinxed" the spell (some of my "helper spirits" don't like greedy people). About a week or two later, I suddenly received and utilized an offer for a free tune up on my car. I also found some jobs with specifics that were largely what I asked for in the spell. And some debts owed me were repaid, so there was money. I may not get the positions I've located, of course, but hey. They were opportunities I might not have caught on to before.

As for where to buy prosperity oil--you can check metaphysical bookstores for pre-made prosperity oil, or you could buy some of the ingredients for said oil individually. Common kinds of oils affiliated with prosperity are cinnamon, clove, and bayberry. I would think that almost any organic/natural food store you went to would have cinnamon, although when I cast that spell I used bayberry. If you want the directions for the banishing oil, I had to ask a Wiccan friend what she would use for that and this is what she suggested:

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 drops peppermint oil
2 drops pine oil
1 drop rue oil
pinch of black pepper

If you can't find rue oil, which some stores told me they won't sell for liability reasons, (it isn't something you want near your mucous membranes) you can buy some rue, which is what I did, and let it sit in a little jar of olive oil for a couple of days, then put two drops of that in the bottle in which you're going to keep your banishing oil. Hope that makes sense. Also, don't you have a kid? It occurs to me that rue oil is really, really not something you'd want left unsecured in a childsafe household. Just FYI.

If you do go through with the spell--I think that for obvious reasons, what the author wrote about precision is important. I was a little stressed out about whether I was sticking to the directions, actually, but I'm glad I did. I'm also glad I used a bunch of little black candles instead of one big one.

4. I've dabbled in oils and aromatherapy for several years.
That's a good springboard for this direction. Thanks for the tip about rue, I'll skip that for now. I may have a bottle of clove oil - it hasn't seen much use, and it seems its time has come.

Also, I was wondering - how do you write on a candle? Ball-point or sharpie?

Great results for you! I wish you well on your work quest.

5. I used a Precise, fine-point "rolling ball" pen for the writing part.

Even though I couldn't really read anything I'd written after the ink dried, which I thought was a nice tangible metaphor for what I was trying to accomplish--ie; sending my wishing and concerns into the ether for the spirits to deal with.

6. So a pencil would work too.
I checked the lunar calendar (new moon on 7/25), and I think I'll put this into action next Monday. I'm looking forward to it.
