1. Older, sad
At first, I thought he had that omnipresent smirk but I looked again and the eyes look sad and the mouth is closed but not smirking. He looks like he just aged 10 years.

someone that was really never far from secrecy, the impression I get is low energy or declining
energy which I have always thought is not a good sign for that person. Yes I agree, he does look older and sadder.

3. He look as if he is taking one last look before he leaves.
I notice a tiny bit of a smile, but it's a bit bittersweet. But mostly, the look on his face, epecially in his eye, is that of a man who is now moving on, and looking back at what he is leaving behind.

6. I have the oddest feeling that he wants to resign
I think that his actions lately are to embarrass his father into letting him, the job is no
longer fun, it's difficult and boring, public service is really not his thing, winning is.

13. I think that he really only connects with people
crowds, one-on-one, the instant deal making handshake, the nod, all the power moves are what
drives him. Now, the bloom is off the rose, regardless of his isolation, he knows he is not
popular, UPI International showed him polling at 29% in May and despite all the spin and happy
faces the US media makes, he knows what the real numbers are.

15. I believe you are correct.
I know that even people who detest his policies have had some good things to say about him in a one-on-one situation. He always seems so uncomfortable in front of crowd, unless he's talking war and terror and such. Truthfully, I think he'd rather just go about his private business and forget all this presidential stuff.

16. I don't think that it's real for him
didn't he call himself a "media creation" at one time, he hated school, I saw a picture of him
with bubble gum at Yale. I think he just wants to do his thing, travel, he really acts like
he is a small business owner rather than president, meet the clients (lobbyists), get
an agenda hammered out, work the deal. There's no commitment to public service at all or
the "constitution." He's not a lawyer; he's an MBA.

17. Once again, I've had the same thoughts, especially about it not
being real for him. I have long thought that being President was something of a game to him. That it was never "real" in the sense that it has been for many other Presidents. Heaven help us, but I think that is a dangerous attitude to have when one actually occupies the highest office in the land.

27. I have had this same feeling for years now.
That he wants out. He is not used to working, his whole life has been about playing and having fun. Even his past so called jobs he was playing at it. And when he screwed up he had no consequences.

Being president is his first real job and he hates it. He loves the perks of course and the fun parts, but the rest no way. He does not take it seriously at all. No matter what is happening in the world or at home (Katrina, 9/11, big meetings) he does not disrupt his sleep, eating, or play schedule. Everything revolves around his needs and wants. He spends a great deal of time riding his bike, jogging, and playing computer games. Cheney and the rest really run the show. And he hates it when he actually has to work, hence all the temper tantrums etc. Cheney and Rove leave him out of the loop as much as possible and encourage his drinking just to keep him quiet.

He won't resign, they will not let him. They will just keep him drunk and medicated til his term is up. And stroke his ego and distract him, cowboy boots with the presidential seal, his affair with Condi, comparing him to Lincoln. All designed to just keep him in office and quiet.

Forgive me if this was covered here in a different thread (my DU visits have been spotty in the past week or so) but I just have to say that the utterly blank look in his eyes as he descended on Merkel, and even as he walked away, was eerie--like he was sleepwalking. I still think he's kept zombified by a potent prescription cocktail (contents not available to "average schlubs" like you and me). Matthew says he's a clone. If so, then the clone is deteriorating!

On edit: Well shut mah mouth this was covered downthread. That'll teach me to scan too quickly!

I know you have to have really bright light for that. Good comment on the wanning moon. For some reason I find it very disturbing. I know what's bothering me, with 1/2 of the face missing
what is that right brain, left brain thing; something about your right brain is the controller
that runs everything, the left brain is more math and coordination, etc. Correct me if I am
wrong on this.

those she is talking to -- or talking AT -- to listen, and if anyone is going to make a remark, it had only be in agreement. This woman has no business being Secretary of State. I don't get that she is interested in building bridges between peoples; she is interested in bullying others to do her (and Bush's) bidding. Frankly, I find her very scary.

50. here's a snip
On Monday, as Bush was returning from Russia, morning radio stations in the USA replayed his line about the growing violence in the Middle East. "What they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s—-, and it's over," Bush was caught saying to Blair.

Bush also could be heard questioning Annan's diplomatic strategy and suggesting that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would soon be traveling to the Middle East.
He teased Blair about the sweater he received, joking the prime minister must have "picked it out yourself." Bush said he wouldn't speak long at Monday's summit meetings, unlike some of the other world leaders. "I'm not going to talk too damn long like the rest of them. Some of these guys talk too long."

25. Talk about his "shadow" side
first he almost looks like he's given up but what lurks beneath is a knowledge that no one can do a thing to stop him.

Next, it seems he's in the dark and things take place w/o his ever knowing a thing.

Finally, (unless the picture is reversed), darkness is overtaking him. Energy moves into the aura from left to right. If we use this photo as an omen he shall soon be overtaken by darkness unless he changes his role in what is coming upon him, darkness in this case of course is lack of enlightenment or spiritual thought.

Well, maybe that's not fair. Maybe he is, but I think he lacks the self-awareness, and the awareness of the world around him, to effect such a change. Sometimes I think he is a very young soul, in terms of awareness. Either that, or he's been around for so long, and has chosen the dark way for so long, that it may be too late for him to ever truly change. Either way, it's frightening that he i the POTUS.

30. On the Raw Story pic
I feel his sociopathy in this pic. His hubris, his narcissism. Self satisfaction. He truly believes history will see him as a great man.

54. It's a mixed photo, Miss W.
George is showing us a mix of emotions, all valid to his point of view. 1st: the smirk/smile. Notice, the lips are tightly pulled in, it's not a spontaneous smile of happiness, it's more one of those where you feel the situation warrants it, and you make a statement with your pursed lips.

And it's not really a smirk, either. The eyes are definitely not smiling.

Bush knows he has created millions, if not billions of enemies on this Planet Earth, who would love nothing more than see him keel over. So for them, he smiles/smirks. It's a rebellious taunt, that's all.

Now, take your hand & cover up the left half of Bush's face. Look at the dark half. See what has happened to him over these past 5 years. Notice the eye that's turned upward. The dark countenance...

Contrast with the left side, the side that's in the light. Now see Bush. This is ANGRY Bush. See his eye? That's pure anger.

61. Was this photo taken as he was leaving the G-8 Summit
after he pawed the German Chancellor? In the rest of the photos I've seen from that episode, Bush's face looked absolutely flat, like he was heavily drugged. Look at the shot where * is standing behind Ms. Merkel (she's wearing a yellow suit and has her arms raised). He looks like a zombie, and it's not, as someone suggested, that he's trying to read the screen of her laptop. His eyes are totally blank.

I think in the Raw Story photo, * looks sad, like he wasn't chosen to be on anyone's team. He looks a lot like Nixon in that photo.

70. I think it was taken at the conference but before that fiasco
The reason that I think that is that he would never normally allow the press that close to him,
and it is a mood shot which Rove would have never okayed.

62. I think that it shows that he thinks he will get away with his act
to the world with all its horrors and abuses, but also shows that he KNOWS that even after all of this, reaching the top as it were, that he won't ever get the love and respect he wanted from his Dad, and from the Universe.

74. Defensive
he sure looks like he's fresh out of bravado in this picture. Kinda has that Nixonian whipped dog look...I'm really a good guy and I tried so hard...sniff sniff. He's thinking, "You won't have George Bush to kick around anymore..." it's crocodile tears time.

Yes, it's no fun now. He would love to quit. But he must stay the course. I'm sure that two years seems like a very long time.
