Dear Sisters and Brothers... |
|
I wanted to update what DH has been going through. He saw another doctor today and the doctor has determined to order a full neurological workup and a session or two in the sleep lab as well as a full cardiac examination. I spoke to his supervisor today and found out that he'd already opened a case for his disability indefinitely. DH is worried at this point, (and this is the main reason he was reticent about taking the time off he should have earlier), because he is afraid that he won't get paid. I don't think that there will be a problem with that but of course, he worrying himself retarded. I've made another appointment with a therapist on Monday and have to try to get him into see an internist as soon as possible. Because I am so close to this situation, I worry about my objective view on this issue. Is there any input from you all on this situation as it applies to getting disability pay?
I would appreciate any opinion on this whether it be intuitive, astrological, numerological or heartfelt. I appreciate anything at all. DH is at the point where he's having problems with his stomach, something I'm sure is directly associated with his body's ongoing reaction to this VERY sad period in his life.

1. I don't have any intuitive/psychic flashes to add, but about the stomach: |
|
Chamomile tea with lavender. I like the Traditional Medicinals variety. $4.00 a box and it was excellent for me during the traumatic months of 2005 when my stomach started acting up in reaction to the stress. It worked very well to stop cramps, upset, etc. Plus, it smells really good.

6. I wasn't kidding about the tea. :-) |

I know it sounds like it shouldn't work to soothe anyone in the face of extreme stress but it totally helped me.

As I told you before I felt his respite from work was long over due.
I don't think there will be any problems with the disability but his fear could intervene in those so often awkward bureaucratic machinations. Just try to keep him as calm as possible so he can heal.
We'll all support both of you in that. Be gentle on him and on yourself my dear.
