[I Have A Dream]

Thanks to DUer Proud_Lefty, I recently watched some DVDs which contained a workshop in reference to the Mayan Calendar. I was not at all familiar with the Mayan Calendar prior to watching this workshop, and I wondered how much the Mayan Calendar had been discussed previously in this group. A search showed that there's not been much discussion.

Therefore, I thought that posting some information might be useful.

The workshop that I watched was presented by Ian Lungold, who passed away in November of 2005.

Carl Johan Calleman wrote the book Solving the Greatest Mystery of our Time: The Mayan Calendar, which is the book on which Ian's workshop was based. Here's an article written by Carl that provides some additional information:

Note that, in the bottom timeline entitled The Galactic Underworld, the midpoints of the days and nights are at the bottom, and the beginning of each of the days and nights is at the top of the timeline. (The shadowed areas are the nights.)

The Fourth Night began on November 28, 2005.
The Fifth Day begins on November 23, 2006.
The Fifth Night begins on November 18, 2007.
The Sixth Day begins on November 12, 2008.
The Sixth Night begins on November 7, 2009.
The Seventh Day begins on November 2, 2010.

1. NOTE: The articles referenced in the original post are several years...

old, so some of the information that is being discussed in them as being for the present day are not really applicable for today. We are currently in the Fourth Night. I included these articles since they explained some things that were relevant to learning about the Mayan Calendar.

When the second article talks about certain "Underworlds", it's talking about different consciousnesses that have evolved or will be evolving on Earth. (The first article uses the word "cycle" to describe the same thing.) We're currently in the Galactic Underworld or cycle. Prior to that, we were in the Planetary Underworld or cycle, and we'll be going into the Universal Underworld or cycle in 2011. (This confused me, and, although the articles explain this, it still took me a while to figure this out.)
