Volunteer needed to coordinate the September prayer thread |
|
It's that time again! If you get something from the monthly prayer thread, please think about volunteering to coordinate the thread for September. It really takes very little effort. If you are interested in volunteering at some point but can't for September, please also reply here and state when you are interested in volunteering. A few people have already informed us that they would be willing to coordinate future threads but are not able to do so yet.

It's definitely not high tech. It basically involves creating an opening post (you can see examples in the thread links that I provided in the original post in this thread), and then occasionally kicking the thread if it gets too far down in the thread list so that people can easily find it. (This doesn't happen too often since it gets "kicked" when people respond to it.) You may also want to occasionally put more energy in it by posting an additional prayer or something, but that's for you to decide whether you want to do this.
The opening post can be as simple or elaborate as you wish; the point is to put your energy into the thread. (That's why we're rotating the coordination responsibility so that different energies are involved over time.)
The only other thing that's required is to close the thread at the end of the month so that the new month's thread can take over.
If you need any help whatsoever, I'll be happy to assist you. (I'm sure that there are others who have already done it who would also be happy to help.)
We'll count you in as the September thread's coordinator! Thank you so much for doing this. I found it to be a true blessing!

5. Looking at August's wonderful thread, |
|
I'll definitely need a nudge in the right direction for an opening prayer/theme.
Thanks!

6. The opening can be simple or elaborate. |

The important thing is that it is from your heart. Or the heart of someone blessed with healing energy. Such as the many lovely prayers and poems which have been posted. And pictures. Find something that resonates with you.
For my opening I only did a simple Irish blessing, but it had a great deal of personal meaning for me. And it was the March thread so it seemed appropriate. I think seasonal prayers are good too, it is a new energy to draw from.
