It wasn't the end of the world. On the nuclear proliferation front, Iran sent a 22-page letter to the US in answer to our demands to stop nuclear (what is it) ... stop enriching nuclear fuel. It included the suggestion that they talk about it some more. And Iran subsequently turned away nuclear inspectors at an underground facility.

Sigh. I just spent an hour looking for a news article to link to, it's just not meant to happen. I heard this info on Rachel Maddow's Wednesday show.
