Is there a love of animals in our chart?

My mother and I were just discussing how interesting it is that both my brother and I have this intense love of cats even though neither of our parents do. We wondered if a love of animals in general, or the love of a specific type of animal, is evident in our astrological charts?

(I should note that my parents had to give my brother up for adoption when he was born, so we didn't grow up together, but still share this trait.)

1. Interesting, I never thought of this....

But I definitely have a very intense love of all animals - especially my pets throughout my life and now my young Jack Russell terrier....
This was not mentioned in my Horoscope reading that I had done professionally.

I feel that I have won over all of my life's addictions except ONE - I can't live without a loving animal to share my life with! :D

2. I find this question to be very interesting because I've often...

been amazed at the connection that many people have to their pets. I'm an ethical vegetarian, so I definitely love animals, but I've never felt the kind of connection to individual animals that so many other people feel. It seems so alien to the way I feel towards animals. It offends me to my soul level to see any animal abused, but I don't feel a need to have them in my personal life. I've often wondered why so many people feel so differently from the way that I do but hadn't really thought of it astrologically. (I feel the same way about children.)

And I find it interesting that although I love all animals, when it comes to cats, I'm just a HUGE softy. I can't resist the little purr machines (although I limit my household to two cats at a time!)

...And then there are people who loathe animals and those who loathe only particular animals. (My grandfather hated cats, but had no reson why.)

4. I thought of this aspect - of mothering tendencies.....

as this was very clear in my horoscope as well as in the most enjoyable period of my life - when I had my little ones (human children) to take care of....my rising sign is Cancer.

7. I've read Sagittarius

has an innate love of horses; as does planets in the 9th. I have the Moon in the latter, and have loved them since I can remember.

As I can remember - Gemini, birds; Leo - cats; Scorpio - reptiles; Sagittarius - horses.

Don't know if there's any truth to it, though...I love parrots, too, and I don't have any planets in Gemini.
