SYMPTOMS OF SPIRITUAL AWAKENING
This is a long list of symptoms of spiritual awakening.

1. Changing sleep patterns: restlessness, hot feet, waking up two or three times a night. Feeling tired after you wake up and sleepy off and on during the day.
There is something called the Triad Sleep Pattern that occurs for many: you sleep for about 2-3 hours, wake up, go back to sleep for another couple of hours, wake again, and go back to sleep again. For others, the sleeprequirements have changed. You can get by on less sleep.
Lately I have been experiencing huge waves of energy running into my body from the crown. It feels good, but it keeps me awake for a long time, then subsides.

Advice: Get used to it. Make peace with it and don't worry about getting enough sleep (which often causes more insomnia). You will be able to make it through the day if you hold thoughts of getting just what you need. You can also request your Higher Power to give you a break now and then and give you a good, deep night's sleep.

If you can't go back to sleep right away, use the waking moments to meditate, read poetry, write in your journal or look at the moon. Your body will adjust to the new pattern.

2. Activity at the crown of the head: Tingling, itching, prickly, crawling sensations along the scalp and/or down the spine. A sense of energy vibrating on top of the head, as if energy is erupting from the head in a shower. Also the sensation of energy pouring in through the crown, described as "sprinkles". This may also be experienced as pressure on the crown, as if someone is pushing his/her finger into the center of your head. As I mentioned in #1, I have been experiencing huge downloads of energy through the crown.
In the past, I have felt more generalized pressure, as if my head is in a gentle vise. One man related that his hair stood on end and his body was covered with goosebumps.

Advice: This is nothing to be alarmed about. What you are experiencing is an opening of the crown chakra. The sensations mean that you are opening up to receive divine energy.

3. Sudden waves of emotion. Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or unexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is not to beconfused with the heart, which is located to the left of the heart chakra.

Advice: Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all yourfields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Don't direct the emotions at anyone.

You are cleaning out your past. If you want some help with this, say out loud that you intend to release all these old issues and ask your Higher Power to help you. You can also ask Grace Elohim to help you release with ease and gentleness. Be grateful that your body is releasing theseemotions and not holding onto them inside where they can do harm.

One source suggests that depression is linked to letting go of relationships to people, work, etc. that no longer match us and our frequencies. When we feel guilty about letting go of these relationships, depression helps us medicate that pain.

4. Old "stuff" seems to be coming up, as described above, and the people with whom you need to work it out (or their clones) appear in your life. Completion issues.

Or perhaps you need to work through issues of self-worth, abundance, creativity, addictions, etc. The resources or people you need to helpyou move through these issues start to appear.

Advice: Same as #3. Additionally, don't get too involved in analyzing these issues. Examining them too much will simply cycle you back through them over and over again at deeper and deeper levels. Get professional help if you need to and walk through it.
Do not try to avoid them or disassociate yourself from them. Embrace whatever comes up and thank it for helping you move ahead. Thank your Higher Power for giving you the opportunity to release these issues. Remember, you don't want these issues to stay stuck in your body.

5. Changes in weight. The weight gain in the US population is phenomenal. Other people may be losing weight. We often gain weight because many fears we have suppressed are now coming up to the surface to be healed. We react by building up a defense. We also attempt to ground ourselves or provide bulk against increasing frequencies in our bodies.

Advice: Don't freak out, but just accept it as a symptom of where you are right now. You will release/gain the weight when all your fears have been integrated. Release your anxiety about this. Then you might find it easier to lose/gain the weight eventually. Exercise.

1. Good Morning, O.B.

:hi:

You posted this just at the right time! I have been having tingling all over my scalp, on almost a daily basis. And, I was beginning to wonder if I should go the doctor about it.

Another funny thing- I was premature at birth, and still have large fontanels (two) at my crown. Normally, these 'close' before a baby is born. Mine are about the width of a quarter and almost 1 cm deep. (Sounds sort of creepy, I know!) Luckily, I have nice thick hair.

Lately, I have begun to think that these may remain as some sort of portal for energy. An interesting though, eh?

2. Isn't it interesting
I have seen/spoken to many people lately who have vague symptoms and strange manifestations. I guess it means that anything is possible when it comes to symptomology and spiritual growth.

I'd say you are ahead of the game. I just read something about the energy portal and the way spirit has to etherically drill it in some people. Yikes.

3. Thank you for this, OhioBlues.
I've been feeling the tingling scalp on and off for a while now. I actually really like the feeling.

It's so helpful to read information on the symptoms!

4. Wow--talk about reinforcement
I have been fretting quite a bit about MorningGlow Jr.'s bad sleep patterns, where, yes, he wakes up every two or three hours. (He used to sleep through the night, so this is very odd.) The only problem is that, as a toddler, he doesn't have the wherewithal to roll over and go back to sleep by himself every time he wakes up; being wide awake in the dark, alone, freaks him out, so instinct dictates he climb into bed with mama. (Dada has given up and is sleeping on the couch for the time being so he doesn't get kicked in the head or other regions of the body as the little thrasher resettles. I believe he has a great future as a soccer star. But I digress.)

Anyway, just the other day a friend of mine was trolling the Web looking for explanations of MG Jr.'s sleeplessness, and she sent me this same link. I glanced at it but didn't study it too closely because she sent it to me at work and I was swamped. I did feel guilty about blowing her off, though, because she worked so hard researching this in her free time.

And now here it is again. Snarf! Hello, spirit guides. I GET IT. I'm listening!

Thanks, OhioBlues, for posting this at the perfect time for me to friggin' pay attention.

I am absolutely certain that symptom No. 1 is describing MG Jr. to a "T". He's a crystal child and therefore very sensitive (and quite psychic--but those are tales for another thread), so I'm not surprised he's experiencing this.

I do believe I will have a chat with his guides to give him a break, though--he's too young to do this so often--he needs his sleep to grow.

Oh--also--I have been experiencing No. 4--I was just noticing how not one but TWO clones from my past job have followed me to my present job. I believe I have made peace with the one, but I'm confused by the other, because at my old job, she was my closest friend--I didn't think I had anything to "work out" there. But perhaps I do. Hm!

As for No. 5--harumph!!! I'm ready to lose the weight NOW, Mr. DeMille!

5. Second WOW here!
About the same thing! This-
"Changing sleep patterns: restlessness, hot feet, waking up two or three times a night. Feeling tired after you wake up and sleepy off and on during the day.
There is something called the Triad Sleep Pattern that occurs for many: you sleep for about 2-3 hours, wake up, go back to sleep for another couple of hours, wake again, and go back to sleep again."

-has been ME for the last 3 years!! I just CANNOT seem to get more than 3 hours straight, and sometimes it is only 30 min.....but I do wake up after the short nap feeling energized. I'll then go for 12 hours or so without sleep, and then repeat the pattern. It's fine, but some days it just throws my clock off a bit.
Thanks so much!!

6. Well, I've definitely been experiencing #3.
Which I've posted about before. But I can't claim the tingling in the crown is affecting me, nor can I claim I've got the "less sleep" problem to deal with (I've been getting more sleep than I did this summer, actually, and most of it is now filled with strange-but-pleasant dreams). And weight gain--netu. I wish. I've been trying to "gain 'The Weight'" back for years.

Sigh. You guys? What if I can't write my books after September, because the New way is so different from the Old way? I...don't wanna lose my writing ability! That...wouldn't be good for my Path. Also? Letting go of the past is fine, if it's necessary and all, but letting go of (or abandoning all of the people in that past) isn't something I'm interested in doing.

7. BlueIris, I really don't think that you'd lose your writing ability...
because that's your passion, and the new way is all about following your passion. If anything, I'd think that you'd have even more support in reference to your writing than you've had up to this point.

In reference to the people from the past, I think that only those that no longer "feed" you in some way would go away. If you value the person, I'd think that they'd still be in your life in the new energy.

Just my opinion, but it's really what I believe.

You know, the more days pass the more I think I'm not really interested in this new energy at all. Because this is a bit much for a 27 year old, it really is.

8. I had a Reiju Empowerment July 28th
Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 06:56 PM by votesomemore
I've never taken part in the Reiju empowerment offered by the Masters in our yahoo group. July 28 I was scheduled for a massage, and set my intention on receiving it sometime during that, with no expectations. When it arrived, I saw and felt my crown chakra open and a silver white, sparkling, dynamic cone or vortex swirling into it. It was wonderful. It lasted a few minutes and was gone. I was hoping it was an effect of the massage and that I would get another one. But no. The only explanation was Reiju.

When you speak of "clones", are those people with personalities like others you know? Or exactly what?

9. That sounds really interesting, VSM
I've never heard of Reiju. I'll google it, but can you recommend a particular site that's got good information?

The clones I've met are actually physical doubles of people I've worked with before, and their personalities are sometimes similar, sometimes different.

Person 1:

1A (the guy I worked with at my last job) was young (30), tall and portly, with a big pot belly, and dark hair. He was at the desk abutting mine--we were pretty much cubiclemates--so there were no secrets. Unfortunately. I mean, the guy just rubbed me the wrong way. Politics were different, he was very conservative overall, he was a bit doofy, told the same stories over and over again as well as the same lame jokes. Irritating. I was really happy to leave him behind when I switched jobs.

1B (guy I work with now) is his physical double, but with a different accent (Irish). He can also be a bit irritating, but I feel much more comfortable with him and more tolerant of him. Possibly because we have separate offices! :) In any case I feel like I have made my peace with 1A because of 1B.

Person 2:

2A (at my last job) was one of my favorite people EVER. She was very young (early 20s), and so spiritually advanced she was like a young, thin, blonde buddha--always happy, always helping other people--just incredible. And a Christian to boot! (A REAL one!) She moved away and we lost touch. I miss her very much.

2B (who I work with now) is her physical double but her opposite, personality wise. She's very fixated on succeeding at her job (she just started about a month ago), very into power dressing. Very serious. I don't know her very well; I try to be friendly when we interact, but we don't "chat." I really don't know what I'm supposed to do with this one. Yet.

I think there's one more piece of the puzzle still to come--my second-closest friend from my last job. No clone yet. He was really a "character"--goofy (funny), magnetic pesonality, a real doll, but very vulnerable inside. I'll be interested to see what his clone is like. Maybe that's why I'm still at my job--waiting for the last clone? Hm!

Hope that answers your question, VSM. Hope it doesn't give you more questions than answers! :hi:

I know of it from the Reiki yahoo group, Reiki On.

I always have more questions than answers :D .. There are two guys who are both tall and very overweight that I know. One lives in another city. They worked with my exbf. They both "despise" me. I'll need to find out more about clones. I have had problems with both of them. They just don't like me.

Oh man, doncha just HAAATE it when a guy just automatically despises you? I get that all the time--they either love me to pieces or run away screaming. And you just know the ones who run away screaming pick up on the goddess energy and can't handle it. Too bad my immediate boss is one of those can't-handle-it types. Makes my work life a whole lot harder, I tell ya whut.

13. I do believe that's it.
Edited on Tue Sep-05-06 12:04 PM by votesomemore
One was a roommate of ours and he hated me for being a woman. That was it. We had three other male roommates (yep, believe it or not), and they all liked me a lot. Actually the one here is very responsible for our break-up. That's hard to believe, too. He was our neighbor for awhile and made my life miserable. exbf is now his roommate. So you could say he stole him from me. Why do I hate him? hmmm? I have wrapped him in every color light, and I still have resentment sometimes. I just don't like him, and that is perfectly okay, ya know. They are not the kind of men I would voluntarily even talk to. I don't know what exbf sees in them. sigh

Sorry you have to work for one. I don't think I could.

14. For what it's worth
This might not apply in your case, but I had a mutual "friend" try desperately to break up a relationship I had. I'm pretty sure he was gay and wanted BF for himself, although he'd never admit it. But he never went out with anyone of either sex, and when friends set him up with gorgeous, accomplished women, he'd always find something wrong with them, usually physical. (Ironic, because he was honestly one of the physically most unattractive people I've ever known--not that he could help that, but I found it odd that he required his dates to be model-perfect in looks--and even then they weren't pretty enough for him.)

BTW, he succeeded in his mission--broke us up and ostracized me from our group of friends (gods only know what kind of trash-talking he did about me). He didn't get the guy, though!

I'm just not that kind of "friend". I would never try to 'steal' a friend from someone she/he loved. That is some kind of sickness.
