For Astrologers - chart of the Tsunami
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 11:09 AM by Pallas180

notice that Chiron is rising in opposition to Saturn on the 7th.

(to my mind this further supports my supposition that Chiron is the
great wounder and the place of a wound that never heals rather than
"the wounded healer" which has been the popular definition.

The eclipses of October 2004 play into the tragedy...

and an astrologer named Eric Francis has done quite a piece on it here:

1. Just a passing thought, now we know what Uranus in Pisces brings
(:

and it needs to be watched for further manifestations.

Neptune in Aquarius also - underwater earthquakes?

deceptive humanitarianism?

Aquarius rules electronics, big machinery, and the airwaves - well we know the media broadcasts are big lies.

Astrologers, please add whatever else you can think of that these
two planets and their placements could mean.

Like Pluto, for us this is incharted "waters".

There seems to be some new rules here on DU re:tsunami posts.....not to hijack this thread Pallas :)

This is my response to Skinners reply in my ATA thread.....

but ya know, I am disappointed- not because of my thread...no biggie.
I am sorry because DU is now doing what we condemn in the RW. Censoring our own and not giving anyone else a chance to make up their own mind or think for themselves. Is DU now more worried what the rest of the world might think than getting around to the truth- even if it is from some rather strange angles??
I remember the day when we were proud to think differently and be open to discussing (DISCUSS being the operational word here) many ideas and theories.
I understand your decision and I'm sure it wasn't easy to arrive at..it is just disappointing that I guess we truly are no longer "underground" and have to play by mainstream rules.
Just had to add my 2 cents here.
Peace,
DR

Just askin out of curiousity...anyone ever do a chart for DU based on the day it was first "born"- fraud *'s Inauguration Day , Jan 01...wonder what we are facing/up against......

hijack over- promise  DR

Neptune in Aquarius going to bring us besides more floods, hurricanes,
tsunamis in your opinion?

PS - It's Skinner's site. Maybe he wants to be recognized as mainstream.

We're lucky to have finally gotten our own astrology thread, cause he
didn't like it at all...so let's not bring argument with Skinner to the astrology site okay?

and hey...I agree..we are fortunate to have our own forum...didn't we all work pretty damn hard to get it?

But now are we not allowed to speak our heart & mind?? I am not arguing with Skinner...not by any stretch...just noting, observing and commenting on my observations.....don't you find it interesting how DU has grown & changed in the past 4 years?? I signed on here on day 1....and its been a wild 4 years. I agree...its Skinners site...not complaining...just remarking...sharing my opinion.

OK...outta here:)
peace

25 Capricorn Chiron the wounding and Saturn 25 Cancer will forever be a wounded degree, another tragedy for those areas of the world,or a reminder when it is transited, I think.

7. Who does asteroids? I don't but I'm noticing in the 9th house Jupiter
trines Neptune...big water...but the asteroid next to Jupiter is catching my attention. Does anyone know which asteroid it is and
what it represents?

8. Hi Pallas180, that asteroid is Pallas-Athena. It represents activism,
fairness, equality, learning disabilities, colors, special kinds of intelligence, among other things. It often has to do with the underdog gaining attention and steam. In the chart of the tsunami, it is trining the asteroid Juno, which has to do with issues of empowerment and disenfranchisement.

Perhaps the tsunami has also brought waves of recogniton and awareness of how other people live, and compassion.

9. Thank you Ojai - isn't that funny
that I don;t know the symbol for my own asteroid??

I was worried that the symbol represented admetos (which glyph I dont remember, just the meaning - is Admetos prominent in that chart? my thinking being that the sea reportedly turned black, and the debris and sewage and such...

how could Pallas, warrior of Justice be in trine to Juno ??

the only thing that seemed to be empowered at the time was the big destructive wave.

I am eager to hear more of your interpretation .

Thanks.

10. American spending priorities
Perhaps the tsunami has also brought waves of recogniton and awareness of how other people live, and compassion.

The amount of aid the U.S. has given to the tsunami victims has stood in stark contrast to the amount the U.S. spends for waging war and bringing about destruction.

I love the sight of the helicopters bringing in water and food instead of killing people.

12. Wondering what the long term effect of this will mean :
"U.S. scientists said just after the quake that it may have permanently accelerated the Earth's rotation -- shortening days by a fraction of a second -- and caused the planet to wobble on its axis.

Richard Gross, a geophysicist with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, theorised that a shift of mass towards the Earth's centre during the quake caused the planet to spin three millionths of a second faster and tilt about 2.5 cm on its axis."

14. the Moon was in the same place for the Tsunami as 9/11
" Moon is out of bounds by declination (27° N 42') and, at 28° Gemini, is in the same degree in longitude as it was when the first plane hit the twin towers of the World Trade Center on September 11. This is the degree of the fixed star Menkalinan, about which Robson writes: "It causes ruin, disgrace, and frequently violent death."

Apparently this fixed star at 28 Gemini is something we should be paying attention to.]
