just get so frustrated with spiritual insight? And an over the top IQ . tested.
This is so not to brag. It is really a painful experience to have insight. And people who think you're just doing bragging. No.
Oh gaw. I guess I need to read the prophets. They all got killed, you know?
.. and another thing ... I enjoy the posts here about for casts .. But I do wonder how someone with an ability can be so spiffy. Just . now this is the action. My experience differs. It does give encouragement and a few other people pick up on that. But it is not Universal. I'm not commercial.
Hope and peace to all who seek Truth.

I, too, have the over-the-top IQ, coupled with EXTREME abilities as an empath. It isn't any fun. It is in fact, painful, as you describe. I have had the most awful few days, because of the torture discussions. I don't just "see" how wrong it all is, I FEEL it.

I have all the same problems, including the IQ and the empathic ability, and always have. It made childhood difficult and it made relationships problematic for me, until I realized that to be truly happy I had to trust my instincts. Today, at 56, I've finally reached a happy place in my personal life and my work life, and I think I can deal with it all. But it ain't easy. I try not to agonize too much over national affairs. After the 2000 elections, I was really a mess, but I've learned not to take it on. The hard part now is dealing with people who lack empathic ability. For example, I've noticed that the people I really connect with are those who share the empathy. Many of them are also empathic but don't channel it as much as I, and probably don't realize they are empathic. They "feel" other's pain somewhat and are responsive to it by changing their behavior to be aquiescent. I really connect to fellow empaths. But people who lack any shred of empathy are people I have a great deal of trouble with. I have to watch a tendency to discount them as being beneath my concern.

it seems like that is where the path is leading. My numerology says that 7 years from now I will find that peace. And I work every day to progress to that.
But the lessons here and current are good. They tell me that the more innocent and open I am, the better. I just have no energy left to defend the face I was supposed to be.
I, too have a problem with people who just cannot see/feel the larger picture. I paint in broad brush strokes. Minutia bores me. There is the tale that details are in the details.. or something. Don't bore me with details. Details can take care of themselves. Give me the BIG picture. And let's go there. "News" events can get so tedious. Like haven't we seen this before in another drag? Over and over, redundancy. Of course propaganda is a lot like that. I long for a new age of enlightenment.
It really feels better to let go of the little details and let the Main Event go on stage. Let them scoff.

8. I know what you mean about connecting with people.... |
|
And it seems in recent years, I have met more and more people who are empathic. As if they are sent my way, which they probably are, or I am drawing them to me. I wish so much that I could detach more from politics, and I go through periods where I am able to do that. But these past few years with our leaders having such a stunning lack of compassion and empathy, such anger, and so much bloodthirstiness, it is very difficult sometimes.

There are a few along the way who can stand in the force. Some run. Yeah, I don't even know how TORTURE can be on the table for discussion. Where did our moral compass go?

3. Yes, my life too has been 'bittersweet'. |
|
Gifted IQ along with extreme empathic and intuitive senses has been a mixed blessing for me.
Lots of pain, over-sensitivities, inability to deal with the superficiality of so many people, but lots of excruciating joy - it has been so delicious at times I would not trade those times for anything.
It CAN be tiring too....:silly:

everyone thinks you are talking down to them when you're just trying to explain things. It's a bit frustrating. I don't know about the IQ thing for sure, when I was tested at 12 my mother wouldn't tell me,and now I don't know where the records are.

11. I suppose it has been hard, but if you don't know anything else, |
|
it is really just the contrast between me and others that causes the pain. There has always been a feeling for me of being not just misunderstood, but judged by others, especially my family while I was growing up. It's taken me a long time, but now I see my sensitivity/intelligence as a gift.
So many of my "knowing" events have been about death and illness of people dear to me, so I've tried to shut it down. I'm getting a little more open to it, since I haven't been successful in shutting it down anyway.

14. I spoke with someone today |
|
who explained that when she was in the drug culture they saw 'weak' people as easy prey and someone who deserved to be run over. Of course being in a drug culture, no one is winner, so how that helps I can't imagine.
It has been wonderful for me to give up a defensiveness that has built up over time. I am weak. I'm human fer cris sakes. But I am stronger than many I've encountered.
I have no claim to macho ability. Maybe I will get run over, if I forget to look both ways! I usually just take people at their word, unless I get an uneasy feeling. But even then, I have been too ready to give them the benefit of the doubt at times. I assume people have noble intentions. But since we are all damaged to one degree or another, that's a risky assumption. Finally, it seems that people with a healthier outlook, and honest, are coming into my life. It was such a desert there for awhile. I hope this is true. If I get that disappointed again in human nature, I just don't know what.

got taken so badly the last few years....but I have a feeling it's coming to an end. I hope. It's exhausting trying to look out for something that I....just don't have the ability to see.

This woman has gotten herself cleaned up and is now giving back by establishing a non-profit to benefit troubled women. I want to talk to her more about what it is like to feel that way, that people 'deserve' to be run over. When the time is right.
I think our gut reactions tell us a lot. I've ignored Intuitions in the past and later lived to regret it. If my gut is screaming "NO"! I really need to pay attention. Look for another road. Any road. Escape hatch even.
We have the ability. Just not the practice.
