Peculiar dream (found God)
Edited on Sat Oct-21-06 10:40 AM by crikkett
I had one of those epic neverending dreams last night, which I woke up from at about 1:30 am. The theme was something along the lines of Dungeons & Dragons (disclaimer: friends played, not me) where characters travel through different settings in bands, learning and collecting stuff. But no battles here, just wandering. I met a lot of old friends and I don't remember who I was travelling with.

Anyway, I guess we were seeking enlightenment. We found "God" in a park, or something that was supposed to symbolize God.

Imagine one of those big plastic fans that sit on the floor...

...just the fan part, without the supports.

It hung in midair over our heads and shed a beautiful shower of blue and purple light as the blades turned. I stood underneath it and was overcome with a sense of well-being and a powerful attack(?) of love. I was just bursting with love. I remember smiling wide and lifting my arms towards it as I would put my hands to a fire, to be warmer (in this case, to be more joyful). It was an amazing thing to experience.

After a while of standing in reverie, I realized that this thing wasn't just emitting love from itself, it was magnifying and reflecting our love, and it became difficult to sustain. The shower ended, and the fan sank to the ground. I understood that I could start it up again, if I concentrated and evoked love in myself.

So I'm carrying this thing around as I continue through the scenery of my dream. I run into an old friend (a very smart person) who commented on it, to the effect of "Hey I see you've found God. Most people don't or if they do, they get really scared when they find out you can go beyond that."

Holy Cow, I found God! I looked at the thing again and considered the idea that there was something else, beyond God. I thought that I could just choose to stop my journey there and be happy, and I could take up a life of showing God to people, but then there is a journey to be had. So I continued on. I think I left the God-thing behind because later in the dream I was unencumbered.

Now, fully awake, I'm thinking that the elements of my dream must have had something to do with reading about the cosmic trigger event 10/17, the coronal hole 10/18, and the solar wind that was supposed to hit us today. But as it turns out, the wind hit us yesterday, and didn't cause any auroras.

2. Thanks IHAD!
I'm a little shy of posting this stuff, because people could think I'm some sort of fruitcake or accuse me of heresy. Your encouragement makes me less afraid, so thanks. I want to be a better writer, you have to start somewhere.

3. Oh, crikkett, I don't think that anyone on this forum would think...
that you're a "fruitcake" or accuse you of heresy for posting your dreams. (Unless they were trolling, but then who in the hell cares about them! :))

Please, please continue to share these things. Your dream really made me think. I always enjoy your posts!

Remember: You have the right to your voice as much as anyone else! Don't let anyone take that away from you because they make some stupid disparaging remark.

6. Gives a whole nother dimension
to that phrase "the Shit hit the fan," huh?

Cool dream but I just had to..be silly.
There is something real to be said about the purple and blue light stuff you were seeing...I had a really deep enounter with that..

When I was 14 a being that looked kinda like isis came to me, wearing a white robe and a horned moon headgear like Isis wears,, Her entire outfit was very white and shimmered with blue and purple..At that time I was going through alot of shit with my father as he was so violent. She said she came to help protect me and she asked if she could come and live with me, as in inside me. We talked awhile, first and I felt a deep connection with her so I said OK,But before she entered she raised her arms and out of her hands flew two snakes one blue the other purple and they were made of light, they flew right into my chest. Than she stepped into me, the isis look faded away,as she said it would,in my chest I saw the two snakes became like communication wires so she and I could communicate,Suddenly seeing her inside me, she didn't look like isis, she was very male looking like a body builder, beautiful armour, big huge feathery rainbow wings of light, eyes with yellow irises and red eye whites in a very feline look, lightning stripes on her forehead, metallic silver skin, hair made of color changing light,a big clear sword that pulses light..She is a being called an Allexian(that is how it's spelled in english letters, based on how it sounds phoneticallly ,but a letter for letter translation would be AXIAS.
She has built a city inside me.called Allexias. And it's beautiful.A Big crystalline dome, filled with pyramids and incredible gardens the people live in .The sun is green but more of a aqua One wall of her house is a big aquarium. And all Allexian cats have wings.
Here's a photoshop of the Allexian Sunrise

I have worlds inside me.I guess that's why they labeled me DID..
But what the less than spiritual shrinks don't get is we ALL have worlds inside.Polyegos. Heh the few doctors I klet see this, they are blown away that it's to"complete" Well Duh, we are worlds,Either you are more consious of it or not that's all.We are worlds making worlds inside a world ,why else do we have an imagination for and can travel inside it?

8. I've only had a few dreams in my life that have made a strong --

-- impression on me.

I do have sleep apnea, and that could be why. For most of my life, whenever I dipped into that sleep, apparently I kind of woke up or something.

But the dream that made such an impression on me was just glorious to me. I was in a house, and it was a really nice house, and it was as if I had been house hunting, and I had finally found a house that I liked. And as I was walking through it and looking at the rooms, I walked into this incredible room, where the ceiling was like this great big huge beautiful mandala. Stained glass. But it wasn't church-like. It was more -- Frank Lloyd Wright-like. Well, it was church-like, but it wasn't those colors. It was earthy colors. And at the same time utterly glorious, and somehow so comforting to me. Mesmerizing. And it felt like I had finally found something I had been looking for since forever.

I realize this isn't the same as your dream, but it felt like I had found something really important, and I was really, really happy.

I've only had two, three or maybe four dreams in my entire life that I've remembered.

9. thanks so much for your story and your dream.
I think that the comfort and glory you felt is pretty much what I felt... and the finding what you were looking for, that's what I felt. I don't have many dreams like that, either. But they stick with me. Thanks for sharing.

10. what do dreams symbolize
That is a mysterious process. And then, what do others read into your personal dream symbols. I read your dream awhile ago, and hadn't time to post, nor a clear sense about the fan. What it meant, beyond your personal concept of god. The only thing I could think of was my own somewhat cynical approach to the ascension process. That the fan could show a somewhat awkward human approach to how love energy works. I doubt that is your meaning, because you experienced so much love energy during it. But it was my impression, so I thought I'd post that.
I guess another way to approach the fan concept is in looking at what the meanings of the word are. Like, that fan can mean a fan club, or it can mean obviously blowing air. So I really did take it as a differentiation between the sincere and bs aspects of ascension.

11. what a great post!
What insight, that the fan can mean obviously blowing air and that ascension/enlightenment could simply be the power to raise it. It's so funny and so encompassing, and it's probably what I realized because I kept on my journey in the dream.

I'm a skeptic, agnostic, child of a Christian priestess. (I know it's not the proper term, she's an ordained minister, but it's her actual function if you ask me.)

Ironically, or rebelliously, the term 'God' has no specific meaning for me. But I do know love, and I truly respect my mom's service to her community because she teaches it to others. I also know that I don't know much of anything (..if I don't know the answer, who's qualified to tell me what it is?) and since Christianity is hung up on personal choice I have my out and even a bit of scripture to base it upon (God = love, 1st John 7,8).

But enough about me and back to the fan as a tool to reflect and magnify our own love... I keep thinking of the Amish colony that suffered such a loss at the beginning of last month, and how much it taught me about the practical, potent, amazing power of love and forgiveness. They are such big people. I strive to be like them.

thanks again and gotta run. love you all
