Not sure if this is accurate
and I hope I am wrong, but I felt like this seemed like the most appropriate place to post this. I had a premonition the other night that the Republicans would try to intimidate people while they're voting. Hope I am wrong, though.

I really want the Dems to win Congress and the Senate this year and wanted them to win the Presidency and both chambers in 2004. For the record I still maintain that they were the real winners but were robbed again. Anyone have any coping strategies for what to do if the same thing happens this year. I'm getting ready to hear, basically, not exact quotes but in the jist of "Oh...their vote(r)s just seemed to come out of nowhere." "Oh, I think it was fair" from at least 1 Dem, if not more, "I think we should ban people who disagree with us" (thanks, Al From),etc. I'm trying to have my hopes way down so as not to be disappointed. Obviously, I'm still going to be voting for the Democrats. I had a real hard time post-"election" in 2004 considering how much effort I and a lot of other people put into it. Also, how much longer until we can have a democracy again?

4. We won't regain our democracy until we are ready to reclaim it.
In order to do that we must truly acknowledge we have been robbed. It will probably take another out and out theft before we believe it, & then the question is are Americans willing to step out of their comfort zones and be true patriots. We do have the ability to do so, we now seem to be either in disbelief or lacking the will, IMO. If the status quo remains how many people will accept it?

Pardon my negativity, but I think it needs to play out fully & only then will it awaken us to action.
I am not happy about it, but this is how I feel. Far more should have been done in election reform. These are the things revolutions are made of, but this is also the age of disinformation, fear and distraction. Lesser countries would be wearing orange and marching in the streets, we have been sleepwalking.

5. There was a news story
on the local news tonight. It began, "some people are beginning to be concerned about electronic voting machines". D'OY! And there have been all kinds of campaign scandals for the repukes. I don't think they can keep pulling the same rabbit out of the hat before people will revolt. But don't think they won't try it.

Welcome to the forum :hi:

7. Apparently from what I'm hearing
is a lot of people are voting early or absentee. I've never had any problems before with voting here so I'm waiting until my voting day.

9. Every time you feel the intense sorrow about anticipating

inevitable defeat, consider stiffening your spine, focusing your mind and saying aloud or thinking really loudly and firmly. . .

"I'm co creating with spirit that any malicious code implanted or secreted in the vote tally counting software be neutralized in the upcoming elections, and any malfeasance that does occur be so blatant that it will be exposed and corrected immedietely, so that the true will of the electorate will be revealed and true justice can be restored." (feel free to modify as you feel is appropriate)

Very simply, if they can rig 'em we can fix 'em. . .with our hearts and minds.

I've posted this before and I'm dead serious about it. If there is any aspect of technology that can be effected by group thought it would more than likely be computers. Consider talking to a techie or two about inexplicable anomalies sometime.

Having approached this issue from every imaginable traditional angle for nearly 4 years, and having written to every pundit, plutocrat, and politician I could think of to virtually no avail, this may be our only recourse that won't take years of legislative and legal wrangling to remedy this most dire situation.

So desparate was I after 11/3/04 that I thought of this method that is probably ill advised but could be mildly entertaining. . . I crafted this a while ago but never sent or posted it. . . "I'll share with you deviant notion that occurred to me one day shortly after watching my worst fears of election fraud manifest late on November 2nd,'04. Would that it were these bozos were as efficiently systematic about the reconstruction of Iraq as they were about sabotaging the of election. Yikes.

I'm fairly sure you know what it is like when one is waiting for something and staring at something but not really focusing on it as one's thoughts are entirely elsewhere?

Well I was at a drive through bank teller waiting for my transaction to go through a couple of weeks after the election in '04. I suddenly found my vision transfixed upon the diabolical DIEBOLD logo on the bank drawer used for drive through transactions.

A palpable anger welled up inside of me. I take this issue way too personally but being a life long absolute pacifist, I wondered what a lowly individual could do to call attention to the repeated and widespread fraud the media was refusing to report.

The thought occurred to me that if many around the country just affixed a piece of masking tape underneath those DIEBOLD logos that read "Steals elections" it would be an amazing display of civil disobedience. Granted, everyone would be in the lense of surveillance cameras 24/7. So it would have to be a massive and simultaneous movement."

When I was searching for the writing about that masking tape protest, I came across something that caught my eye but I've no idea what from what site I cut it from. It was supposedly an interview from a women who had allegedly been raised, sexually tortured, and initiated by and into what some refer to as the "Dark Cabal" that has usurped control of our nation. Somehow she reputedly escaped. I had consciously forgotten what she had said but today I saw it as a tremendous affirmation.

She said, "the only way they will ever be unseated from power is through massive group prayer." It rang as true to me when I first read it as it does to this day.

I'm contemplating crafting something over the next week or so to get this prayer about the election out there in the most effective form. Am open to any and all suggestions. Would love it if it could be a group effort.

Of course this is an irrational approach. But we are dealing with irrational beings who've no desire to be "reality based." Exclusively rational rebuttals have not worked at all thus far so I figure this affirmation is at least something we can all do.

10. Why don't you start a thread for this purpose?
To get suggestions from other great minds? I'm with you on this. It has to be fought on the spiritual plane because the material is so swamped with dirty cash. Keep us reminded.

12. Well I'm contemplating the very best way to do that.
I posted a slight modification of the post above on another thread in GD yesterday and it sort of got swallowed up.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2477923&mesg_id=2478163

Look at the singular and obtuse response I got so I presume this concept is not in the best form as yet.

"swamped with dirty cash" I know what you mean but perhaps it might be good for us to remind ourselves that money in and of itself is inherently neutral. It's more like "ill gotten" cash. There is such a stranglehold that the so called "special interests" have on our government that we are left as mere spectators, especially as we are compromised further, bereft of accountability in voting.

I've long believed both that government is corrupt but I never thought it would be so blatant, and that our solutions and remedies would have to be spiritual ones.

I think I will start a thread in here shortly for more feed back before I dare to start one in GD next week. I know that particular affirmation above is a bit long winded so I'll be open to any suggestions on how to streamline it.

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement.

15. Yes
I certainly believe money is neutral. It is the intention that makes it "dirty". But, "ill-gotten" is more precise. Thieved even.

11. yes-
let's do the group effort :)

We see effective government that abides by the principles of Divine Harmony and that operates from a vision of humanity’s greater purpose.

We see people elected that only have interest in serving the common good - and nothing (machines or fraud) can interfere - or something along those lines?

13. What a lovely vision.
Thanks for posting it. On votesomemore's suggestion I'm going to start a thread along these lines in this forum shortly. I'd really love for a bunch of us to participate in crafting a really effective and more concise prayer/affirmation as I know the one I posted above is too long winded for many.

Interfacing between the political and the spiritual is often very precarious. Yikes.

I like your suggestion a lot.
