2.2 million Goddess believers in U.S.?
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 12:37 PM by LiberalEsto
Interesting info posted on Raw Story today:

"A new study of U.S. adults finds that 42 percent are not "absolutely certain" there is a God, but only 1 percent believe that God could be female.

According to my research. the total US adult population (age 18 & over)is estimated at 220,126,266. If 1% of them believe in a female God, that means there could be as many as 2.2 million people in America who believe in a Goddess!

1. The questions presuppose only one god(ess)
And some gods have no gender.

But yeah, if you count up all the Wiccans, pagans, Hindus, and people with certain traditional Chinese, African, and Native American beliefs, it'd probably be around 2.2 mil.
