1. My understanding is that you're asking whether the woman... |

had the stroke as a result of karma for trashing your sign. Is that correct? If so, I'd say that it wasn't because of that particular act because, for most people, karma doesn't work that fast, but it might have been because of some other act or acts at some point in her current life or past lives. (I say "might have" because I don't believe that every bad thing that happens to us is because of bad karma. They could also be learning experiences that we chose to take on in this particular life.) However, it's my opinion that she's accrued additional bad karma for trashing your sign, and, at some point, she'll have to reap the result of that action.
If I misunderstood your question, I apologize.

My husband experienced an incident recently where a very good friend and coworker exhibited uncharacteristic aggressive (verbal) behaviour, for no good reason. He then apologized profusely a few hours later. My thought was "out of balance, out of balance." A month later he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
This wasn't karma, in my opinion, but just an example of how people can get so whacked out!! First their behaviour becomes odd, then they become physically ill. Balancing chakras and meridians is in order when someone exhibits strange behaviour.
Just my two cents!!
On the other hand, this might be one mechanism by which karma works....................

5. His aggressive behavior could have been caused |
|
by problematic thyroid levels due to the undiagnosed thyroid cancer....
Thyroid imbalance can cause mood problems and aggressive behavior.
